There is a simple feature I miss when viewing on my mobile that I didn't even realize I missed until sat down with my desktop again. It's the showing of the the title of the thread from the latest post in a section, without having to actually go into the section. The desktop version still has this feature but not the mobile. Of course it is for space reasons, which makes perfect sense, but I do still miss it. I've been noticing that the way I use the site has actually changed as a result. I used to get "pulled" into the General Discussion Area, or the Fun Threads Area or the Jokes Section for example simply by the thread topics. Simply checking in to the site would often turn into a long session of reading different threads. I still try to check those sections out every once in a while if I have the time, but there is no lure to grab my attention and pull me in anymore. It's a human nature thing I guess. I rarely set out to find interesting topics but they used to find me anyway. I wonder if anyone else has found that this change has altered the way they use the site? I'm not even suggesting another change be made really as I do understand that sacrifices have to be make for convenience on a small screen. I'm just noticing my own habits have changed a bit. Anyone else?

Actually, not in the case of dangerous practices. At least that has been the ruling many times over the past decade as far as I've seen. Unsafe practices like this endanger everyone. Warnings of this nature are not uncommon here and unless there has been a policy change that I am not aware of, allowable. The mods can certainly weigh in if I am incorrect in that.

I notice that many of the the phone numbers and email addresses are now blurred from the text of the ads on leolist. (Any that don't use the standard format XXX-XXX-XXXX seem to get past the blockers for now) Is this because the site wants us to only contact the sp through their site now? (Or am I just missing something?)

I've intentionally reserved judgement on the changes because I recognize that I have a tendency to resist change in all of its forms. When it comes to computer programs in particular, I get frustrated when I can't figure out how to do basic functions that I already knew how to do before. (I've been known to get angry when my phone updates and the functions change.) Compound this with the fact that I've been using this site regularly for 9 odd years and have gotten quite used to it being the way it was. Kind of like another home. That said, I do recognize that this is a 'me' issue. 😉 I know that change is necessary, especially when technology is changing so quickly. I'm happy to say that I'm starting to get used to the new format, and that while I still struggle with my 'relearning' at times, I think the changes overall will be positive once I catch up. I can't imagine the work involved with such a transition, but I applaud the mods for their efforts. They have made it very clear since the changeover that they want to work with the members to ensure that everyone is happy, and they have obviously been working diligently to at least try to do so. Keep up the good work.

Yup. It's up to the members to point out and report the obvious scammers and stolen pic e-transfer schemes. Anyone can create an account and post an ad but the mods have always been good at taking out the trash once alerted to it. 😉

Seems to be cleared up for me as well. I suspect it had something to do with the preparations they were making for the changeover. Just speculation. Either way, no issues staying logged in now I'm happy to say.

There is a bit of a psychological barrier there as it feels like the airport is far away. I live and work in Dartmouth though. It's only about a 15 minute drive to the airport for me. I couldn't get to downtown Halifax and parked in that amount of time, but I don't think of downtown being too far away. Not sure how many people would make the drive to the airport though in spite of that.

I've been having these issues for weeks and on both my phone and my pc. I use incognito mode in private browsing (Chrome) which may be part of the problem although I always have. I'm not sure what may have changed but it's a real pain having to continually log back in.

Interesting history. It was the Gentleman's Club on Windmill Rd downtown Dartmouth that introduced me to the hobby almost a decade ago. I finally got the nerve to give it a try very shortly before it closed down for good. I found this site while I was searching for other places like it. Comments on new providers are always welcome and encouraged. It's accounts that were created just to praise one specific lady and never post again where I question the motives for obvious reasons. It is easy for a new lady or their friend to create a fake account, post a recco and then use it in their ads. It happens all of the time. Ladies with good reputations and lots of reccos simply have no motive for doing this so I guess people give those new posters the benefit of the doubt more easily. This is why the mods don't allow new accounts post reccos though. It's actually against the rules of the site for new members to post reccos. You have to actually participate in the board a bit first. This is designed to discourage shill accounts, and show that the poster is likely trustworthy. You have to have 5 real posts first and then be approved by the mods in order to make a post in the recommendation section. Unfortunately, the shill accounts get by this rule by posting reccos in non recco sections such as this one. (Quite often a screen shot of that "recco" appears in the ladies ad within minutes.) I'm sure there are cases where someone was just so blown away by a lady that they ran to their computer and joined every board they can find just to sing her praises. I suspect that in most cases though, the so called reccos made by brand new posters as their one and only posts ever are actually shill.

All great advice, but this last point can't be emphasized enough. There are many legit girls on leolist, but there are an equal (if not greater) amount of scammers. The scams can range from simple bait and switch (girl uses stolen photo's and is not the girl you expect when you get there) to flat out attempts to steal your money. Never send an e-transfer deposit, unless it is a lady with a good established reputation. It's an easy way to make money disappear. You are off to a good start by asking here. All of the above mentioned ladies have great reputations and will likely take very good care of you. Scroll through the recommendation section as well to see if anyone else catches your eye. In my experience, most of the gents who post those don't mind answering questions about them if you send them a private message too. Most importantly, relax and enjoy yourself.
