  1. Thanks a lot WhereIRoam. That does actually help to put things in perspective. I've got to remember the big picture. Thank you for sharing this experience with me. I hope her words of wisdom help me as much as they helped you. Glad things worked out for you in the long run. All the best of the holidays to you as well. Cheers Mikey
  2. Thank you both for your thoughtful replies. Lots of great food for thought. I somehow thought I'd be more prepared mentally for this by this point. I guess I've been sort of living in denial about it as opposed to facing it. I can't continue doing that at this point. The journal idea is a good one. I will do that. I'm sure it will be difficult to keep everything straight with all of the different care givers. Thanks again. Mikey
  3. Hi everyone, Not industry related but I thought I would ask for some experiences from the group. I'm just preparing myself for a pretty major heart related surgery in the new year. Honestly, this has me pretty wigged out. I'm only in my 40's so this is not something I would have anticipated at this point in my life. The mortality rate of this surgery is relatively low (1%) although that is still pretty high if you ask me. People buy lottery tickets with the intention of beating odds almost infinitely greater than that. ;) I will likely be out of commission for a couple of months as well even if all does go well. Does anyone else have any experiences or words of wisdom to share when it comes to major surgeries? (Either here or by pm if you wish to keep it private.) I also have a major decision to make in the event the valve needs to be replaced as well. (They won't know until the operate.) It may not be needed but I still need to come to a decision before the operation. One option would have me back in surgery every decade or so for the rest of my life, but otherwise healthy. The other option would require the use of a daily drug forever, which has major implications for bleeding issues, diet restrictions, very limited alcohol consumption (gulp), and risks of other complications. It would also require at least weekly blood screening. I likely wouldn't need any more surgeries though. Just a complete change of lifestyle. This one has me stumped. Not sure I like what's behind either door Monty! Any advice, experience or insight on this would be appreciated as well. Thanks everyone. Happy holidays. Mikey
  4. You can't find words by searching or googling if they are part of an image. I guess this would be more discreet. I suspect this has something to do with it. Not sure if there are other reasons, or if they are legit providers though. I have't bothered to follow any of the links.
  5. Discretion is always key, although it is possible to film without showing your face. The provider I linked to above (Cristina4u) seems to have a good system in place if I understand the ad correctly. You can do the filming (choosing to not show your face if you don't want to) but it is her camera, so she has control of what she posts and what she wants out there. You both have a degree of control in this. (At least this is how I read it.) I agree though that you should be cautious about what you film. If you have distinctive tattoos or birthmarks in particular, you may want to rethink it.
  6. Christina4u offered something like this in an ad a while back. Her camera but she will give you a link to the videos. www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=254775&highlight=Christina I haven't taken her up on that particular offer but I have seen her on several occasions and can definitely recommend. Beautiful and incredibly sexy. She travels but visits here regularly.
  7. She is a member here as well: https://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=114784 Attractive pics. Seems like she lives in New Brunswick but travels here regularly.
  8. Happy belated birthday MsManda. Hope you had an amazing day. Mikey
  9. Sounds like you've found a very efficient way to make 80 bucks disappear. Backpage is full of etransfer scams. Just don't do it.
  10. Wow. You guys are far more forgiving than I am on this issue. Once I know the pics are bogus, I'm out. At best, it's a bait and switch. At worst, something far more sinister. (scam, robbery, etc.) Once I've seen the hook, I have no interest in sniffing around at the bait. ;)
  11. If it's the same girl, she grew since she got here. List as 4' 10" in the Toronto ad and 5' 3" in the Halifax one ;)
  12. Congratulations on the milestone Cato. This site is certainly a better place because of your presence. I have enjoyed your many (many many) posts. Heres to many more years of them. Mikey
  13. Happy birthday Lexy! Hope it's a great one.
  14. Hard to say which of those it is specifically but you pretty much summed it up ;)

    Spectacular!
  16. I don't know anything about Kelly, but the woman whose images she stole belong to Instagram model Niece Waidhofer: http://www.pictame.com/user/niecewaidhofer/208138222/1348774339273430385_208138222 If it looks to good to be true......... ;)
  17. Happy birthday brothercharles! All the best to you.
  18. It doesn't prove or disprove anything for certain. Videos can be stolen just like photos, although I would think it would take more effort to rip off a video that matches the photos. It can lend some credibility but still always use caution.
  19. Happy Birthday PistolPete! Hope you have a great day!
  20. The fact that you are a hobbiest doesn't mean that you are not also "the nicest guy who ever dated a woman". I don't think that those things contradict each other at all. On the other side of the coin, I don't think you should use being a hobbiest to stop her from trying to set you up with her friends. You should simply ask her to stop and tell her that you are not interested in dating at the moment if that is the case. Telling her about being a hobbiest should be a choice you make based on your friendship. What you feel she should know about you and what you think she can handle knowing. (Not everyone will be understanding about it. You have to use your judgement.) Lastly, consider Notche's post above. It sounds like there might be some merit there, but that is just a hunch ;) Good luck
  21. Lol! The word or certainly open to interpretation....
  22. First Tom Petty, now this. It is a sad, sad time for music :( RIP Gord
