  1. We can't forget that most of the terms used in and around this industry (and that is truly what it is if we want to be completely honest with ourselves) were created to intentionally be vague. An 'insider language' that may pass unnoticed in the 'outside world'. I never gave the term hobbiest any more thought than that. I don't believe it was ever intended to be in any way disrespectful. Merely discreet. If some find it unintentionally offensive for some reason, then perhaps it is time for a new term, although I doubt you'll find one that achieves the goal of being discreet and offends nobody. The whole subject of sex and sexuality are too sensitive for that.
  2. All the best in 2016 to all of you. Happy new year.
  3. Welcome Melly! Hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. And happy new year too! :)
  4. I see Christina is working this week too. Tall, blonde, and beautiful. https://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=227888
  5. The images are stolen so it is a scam. That's all I need to know. ;)

  7. Saw it last night. Well done. Certainly geared toward fans of the original three films. Possibly too much so. Plot line feels oddly familiar. I'll say no more except fans are going to like it.
  8. Congratulations on 2000 posts Mr T.
  9. Congratulationson 1000! Keep them coming.
  10. There have been a couple of discussions about her already with a couple positive reports: http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=220617&highlight=Ally+faye http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=218645&highlight=Ally+faye
  11. The law before c 36 were just as you described. Out call at your place or hotel was completely within the law. This is no longer the case under the new rules. It is illegal to purchase any services that are of a sexual nature, regardless of the locale. All compensation should specifically be about her time and nothing else. It is best to remember this when communicating with a lady.
  12. Rick Mercer always has a great way of summing things up simply:
  13. Fake photos from all over. Reverse image search is your friend in this hobby.
  14. The girl in the article used to be a member here (as Chelsea Luv) years ago before all that stuff went down. Have not heard that she is working again but anything is possible. I do think that blond hair and the use of the name Layla is not very convincing evidence that something is up though. Sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. No hits on tin eye for the pics in the ad. Anyone seen her yet?
  15. Pics get lots of hits on tineye.com from all over the US. I'd use caution on this one.
  16. The thing about a city this size is that the nice areas and the. ....well less nice areas are often quite close together geographically so it helps to know the area. You will certainly find a lot of anti Dartmouth sentiment on the Halifax side. I think some of them were scared by a bridge as children which might explain their irrational fears ; ) It would likely be easier to entice a Dartmouth resident to the Halifax side than the other way around from a business perspective. Most Dartmouth people are used to traveling to the Halifax side. Just an observation. A generalization of course but seems to often be the case based on my own friends and family.
  17. I'm a Dartmouth guy through and through, and I'll defend it to any of the Dartmophobic Haligonians. ;) That being said, there are still a few areas that I have learned through experience to avoid with unknown ladies. It is a different story of course of the lady is known and has a reputation. When I say I avoid some of these places, I'm talking about toftt situations. The few times I have broken these rules did not lead me to "safe clean warm welcoming locations." I'm not sure you understand the nature of some of these specific areas mentioned with this description. We are not talking about generalizing huge geographic locations either. We are talking about a few specific groups of buildings on a few specific streets. We all have to do what we can on both sides of this industry to ensure our own safety and comfort. If I miss the odd hidden gem, then so be it. Anything I can do to help ensure my safety, I must do.
  18. Oh. ... And I have been to Danielle's. (On at least a couple of occasions). Nice spot and welcoming in oh so many ways. ;)
  19. Not entirely sure how to best answer the poll questions so I will just answer here. For a new unknown lady, there are definitely areas of the city (both sides of the harbor) that I will avoid. I know that there are good people in bad places and bad people in good places, but I have to go with the math on that one. It is different however with a lady who I know either through this site or by reputation or by recommendation from a trusted member. I will make exceptions in many cases if I have some reassurance and comfort in the decision. That being said, as far as the specific locations you have mentioned, at least without knowing more details, do not cause any issues for me. Hope this helps Lexi Mikey
  20. Thanks everyone! Very much appreciated. :) Not exactly record time reaching this milestone compared to some of you but I very much enjoy my time here and all of the amazing people. Mikey
  21. Congrats on 7 years my friend. I guess I wasn't too far behind you at 6 1/2 years. It's been a long time. Congrats as well on 8500 posts. There I'm afraid you've left me in the dust having just achieved my first 1000. Well done.
  22. I have to apologize. Clearly I am passionate on this topic. Normally I avoid controversial topics in this site. I can get carried away with a topic once engaged. (It's been a rough day, I lost an old friend today so my filters are down. ) The opinions are mine, but the tone is out of character for me. Bowing out gracefully from this thread now. All the best. Mike
  23. Being able to find Wikipedia does not make you knowledgeable on any topic, and yes I understand more about the history of this region than your average person, although admittedly am not an expert. What I do know is that there are several different parties battling for control, being backed by even bigger powers like the US and Russia. This battle ground has become a big game of chess for the world powers to flex their muscle with the big winner being icis (sweeping in amid the chaos) and the big losers being the citizens trying to survive in a four way battle ground. In the middle of of all of this, some manage to escape with their families just to have the world turn their backs on them. What happened in Paris should have proven how evil icis is and how badly their victems need our help. Not that Muslims can't be trusted.
  24. .....all terrorists are Muslims? !!!!!!!! There are some in Northern Ireland who might disagree with that statement. Is that a real quote or did you make that up to try to sound insightful? You failed to validate it by attributing it to anyone.
