  1. Happy Birthday Amelia! Hope it's a great one.
  2. Both Gents are still listed as new members so they likely cannot yet post in that section. Fun in Halifax has been here a while but post count is part of that label. Thanks for the recco none the less guys. For you Splitz ;) : http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=219574 http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=108904
  3. Looks amazing. One of the photo's got 3 hits on tineye though. (The one with her in the corner.) One from a Las Vegas review site, and 2 from Columbus. No hits on the other pics.
  4. Doesn't pass tin eye. At least 2 of the photos belong to a Jenny in Brampton. Too bad. Great photos. (unless she used to live there and post under a different name of course.)
  5. I have to admit that I was a little shocked the first time I read that in an ad. I mean, if I saw that on a sign in a restaurant or any other type of service industry, I'd walk out. Hell, I'd go get my picket signs and call the media. This is different however. This is the most intimate of acts and everyone has the right to choose who the consent to engage in it with, based on whatever criteria they feel is important to them. As harsh as the words look when printed, they have the right to feel that way and that should be respected. It has made me wonder on occasion however if there is perhaps a group of local men who happen to be black who are treating the ladies poorly and causing them to take such a drastic blanket stance. Just a thought.
  6. I think Trump running is a good thing. Late night talk show hosts have had a vacuum of material from the Republicans for their comedy bits since Dubya stepped down. It will be refreshing to have another laughing stock for the rest of the world to point at and giggle. Just like old times. ;)

  8. We have 5 senses (at least ;) ) and hearing is one that is quite closely linked to the emotional centres of our brain yet we tend to overlook it when it comes to the intimate acts. Myself, I like to leave the here and now during an encounter. I've always had a close connection to music myself and it is amazing how it can effect your mood and your enjoyment of an experience. Don't discount it's impact before you explore it fully. You can increase your pleasure ten fold with the right mood music. At least for me anyway.
  9. The problem is that we still don't fully understand what caused life to occur here. Was it some random fluke that was so unlikely that it could never possibly happen again? Possible, although given the shear number of possible planets in our own galaxy, let alone the entire universe, that even the most remote possibility of it happening means it has likely happened again. That's the way statistics work. Assuming life has happened elsewhere though, what are the odds that a species on that planet will have evolved in a manner similar to us, favouring brain size and the ability to use tools? Remember that life has existed for billions of years on our own planet. We are the exception to how life tends to evolve. In most cases, it is far better to be fast and have big teeth than to have a big brain from an evolutionary perspective. Assuming it has happened though, what is the likelihood that it has happened close enough that we will ever discover them or vice versa? As good as our science has gotten, the universe is a staggeringly large place, the size of which is hardly conceivable to our brains. Picture 2 minnows randomly dropped in the ocean. What are the odds they will run into each other, even if they are looking? Now make the ocean a hundred billion times bigger. And then there is the final question. If there is another species out there who has technology advanced enough to visit us, do we even want them to know we are here? Lets look at our own history, when a more advanced culture has discovered a land peopled with less advanced civilizations. Did we offer to freely share our technologies and become their new bff? Or did we simply treat them as an inconvenient obstacle to helping ourselves to their natural resources? I think that it is lucky for us that we are unlikely to every run into whatever life may be out there in my opinion.

  11. It is very important to me too. It just sets the mood. One of my favourite ladies had a playlist prepared last time that was so sensual and erotic that it put the experience over the top for me. I didn't even recognize any of the music, but she had a keen ear for what sets the mood. It's all about getting lost in that time and space for me and the right music can really help me do that.

  13. It was Charlie Sheen who said that we don't pay escorts for sex. We pay them to leave the next day. ;) That guy still cracks me up. Lol.
  14. I love your list. I particularly want to comment on the Harry Potter suggestion. OK not the best written serie ever. (Take every supernatural cliche and jam them into one book series). .....But these books did add significant value to my life. My kids were always avid readers and heavily into the series. We read every book cover to cover together at least once and often more. We did midnight book release parties at the local book store and the whole bit. I'm about 6'4 so i do I make a great Hagrid next to the small kids ;) . Anyway, praise where it is due. Great series for bridging the gap between new reader and old. I loved reading it with them and loved the anticipation that the writing brought out. Should be on every parents reading list for sure.
  15. I truly understand the difference in your mind. What we do here is purely fantasy. We get to experience the pleasures and freedom of life in a way that doesn't involve a lot of real emotional baggage. It is also less likely to bite you in the ass as nobody is getting hurt. The expectations for the relationship are clearly defined. I suspect however that few S.O.'s would see the distinction. (Mine definitely would not.)
  16. I feel for ya. I've been there too. Twice actually but once quite recently. It is incredibly frustrating to say the least. I really feel for the ladies as I know that this is an even big issue for them, and interferes with their livelihood when it happens to them, but courtesy is a 2 way street. My time is valuable to me as well. Just let me know if plans have changed. Not to mention the "less than inconspicuous" time you spend standing around waiting somewhere that you are not supposed to be for an appointment that never happens. ;)
  17. Well said everyone. There is nothing wrong with asking rates (assuming the info wasn't already provided) so long as you are respectful (very important) and discreet. It is necessary information to have. Remember that you are not paying for services, only time. Choose your words accordingly. Assuming you did that, I suspect she was merely busy or away from her phone. Good luck. Mikey
  18. Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Basically an exploration of the "captivity" of humans by the society we have created, as seen through the eyes of an outsider. (In this case a telepathic gorilla/teacher. ) I have enjoyed many books but this is one of the few that have truly changed the way I think about life and the world we choose to live in.
