  1. I still get incredibly nervous every time I meet a new lady, although that is part of the thrill and exhilaration for me. It's an adrenalin rush at times. I hope I never lose that. If this hobby ever becomes ordinary or common place to me, I'll likely stop.
  2. "I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose free will" -Neil Peart (Sorry, geeky Rush fan moment..... addresses this issue quite insightfully though ;-) )
  3. Way to go Cato! Wow! 6000! Great job on both quantity and quality. Keep em comming.
  4. I've been doing a lot of reflecting lately on... well my life and life in general. Life is full of crossroads. Decisions that we make that impact the rest of our lives. Decisions that we will never fully understand the effect of. What if I'd continued to pursue music instead of the career path I chose? What if I had stayed with my previous girlfriend? (The one I broke up with to pursue the woman I ended up marrying?). It isn't so much regret, but just simple curiosity. After all, we are the sum of our choices in life. Every once in a while however, something happens to make me think: "what if.... ? " So what are your "what if's"? The things you will always wonder about. What are your "roads not taken"?
  5. Glad to hear he is doing well. Get well soon Old Dog. We need your humour around here. All my best wishes to you.
  6. With loyalty programs in general, it is always best to avoid giving away your revenue earner. It is better to try to find a "value add" item to give away that doesn't interrupt your revenue stream. An example in this industry might be a free additional 1/2 hour massage session tacked on to your # X session. This is just an example off the top of my head, but the point is, you are still charging for your # X session. It is just costing you an extra 1/2 hour of your time.
  7. I do like to "trim the hedges" a bit but have never been a "clear cut" kind of guy. I just feel it looks neater that way. In general, I do feel cleaner as a result. I'm not talking specifically about encounters. (I'm always as clean as possible then). I just feel cleaner on a day to day basis as a result of keeping the hair trimmed down and even shaved in spots. (Especially around the back door areas ;) ) I sweat less that way too. The older I get, the more trimming seems to be required though! Think I'll need a weed whacker soon!
  8. OK, I hate to be the odd man out on this very serious issue, but I have to totally disagree with you on this one Jabba. (with all due respect). I have a standing order for 4 boxes of the chocolate dipped mint cookies with the young girl down the street whenever they do their cookie drive. She knows not to bother me if they choose to do those horrid cream filled cheap Oreo imitation sandwich cookies. Only the chocolate mint. (I'm getting hungry just thinking about them!) I think they are one of the graetest inventions of our species... OK well maybe not. But damn, they are good. Just my 2 cents.
  9. Understood. (Although I still think that it is easier to replace a good financial advisor than it is a good fishing boat! ;-) ). Good luck on the sale RG. Hang in there.
  10. Perhaps you were meant to keep the boat RG. Trust in the fish gods. They have a plan.... ;-)
  11. Officially on vacation! Time to kick back and relax for a while. Maybe do some camping.enjoy a bit of summer.
  12. Sorry to see you go but it sounds like you have your reasons. Listen to your gut when it tells you that your path is no longer a positive one for you. I've enjoyed your posts and wish you all the best in the future. Good luck.
  13. Wine: Sauvignon Blanc (Not the New Zealand kind. Hit the wall on that grapefruit flavour. Traditional French style, grassy and crisp) Beer: Hoegarrden (The absolute perfect sunshine beer) Spirits: Gin and tonic, twist of lime Oh look. It's Friday afternoon. Why am I still at work?????
  14. Shined up the motorcycle and went for a spin. No better way to spend a sunny day!
  15. the gravitational pull
  16. I'm torn. I don't believe in mermaids, but I also don't believe anything the US government says.... Where does this leave me?
  17. gold medal olympian.

  19. [quote name=northerntantra;360259The moral of this story: until you have all the facts' date=' assume the best intentions. That's a principle I've chosen to live by, and it has served me well since I've taken it to heart. No doubt I'll get screwed by it (not in a good way!) from time to time, but life seems more pleasant and less stressful these days. How about you?[/quote] Whether it is true or not in each case, it is a better way to live your life for the sake of your own morale. It is probably worth getting burned now and then. Living your life as a pessimist and a skeptic can be very depressing. I've been there at times in my life and have since made a conscious effort to change my outlook for the sake of my own sanity, as well as those who are close to me. While some people will only look out for themselves at times, there is good in most people. Assuming the best will make you a happier person, even if you are not always correct in that assumption. :icon_wink:
