There are a small handfull of people here that I suspect are inundated with pms for advice, suggestions and information on a daily basis. They are the ones who have shown themselves to be thoughtful, and somewhat wise in their almost endless lists of posts. (You all know who you are!) Good review WIT. I agree with most of the sentiments. The main stage is a reasonably good show. I likely would not bother with any of the "private shows" again if I find myself their in the future. (Quite likely I will as they are the only game in town!) The last time I was there, (admittedly a while ago) I did opt for one of the private shows. The "rooms" are simply office cubicle separators so you still hear all of the commotion from the main show. The lady took her time getting started and stopped dancing before the song was finished to ask if I want to buy another song. In between, she actually stopped to chat with another girl who had stood on a chair and hung her arm over the cubicle separator. Needless to say that I was less than impressed, and did not bother with another song. This was a far cry from the great places I have been to in Montreal. I do understand that they are restricted here by the regulations as far as contact goes. I also know not to let one bad experience paint the establishment with one brush, but I just didn’t see what I was getting in the private show that I wasn’t getting from the main stage.

I like the idea. I've often thought that it would be nice to put a face some of the voices here. (SPs and hobbyists alike). The paranoid part of my personality might make me hesitant to attend though. I'm always terrified that this secret part of my life might get out, with devastating consequences. It would depend on the location and the level of confidentiality for me. This is still a "small town" in a lot of respects.

I agree with your sentiments Flyer. I do however understand what has happened in the media. They always look for the angle that resonates with the "average Joe". Many people, especially in the service industry fantasize about being able to do this. They should, however, do it in such a way that does not endanger anyone.

I've had this argument with a good friend of mine. He finds them distasteful and a total turn off. I however, am completely turned on by women with nice tattoos. It adds to the “bad girl fantasy” that I so love. Each to his own, although the difference between he and I is that I’m also quite attracted to women who don’t have tattoos. That being said, from a business perspective, I would think that having them is more likely to limit your responses than not having them. (I still love them though!)

I have been guilty of short notice requests as I seldom know in advance when I will have some free time. Afternoons can sometimes mysteriously clear themselves and it can’t hurt to ask if someone happens to be available. I would never however, hold either a lack of response or a lack of availability against an sp. It is not their fault I am so poor at planning ahead. I also would recommend trying a different means of communication in addition to the pm for short notice requests. “Logged on” does not necessarily mean sitting in front of the computer.
