If this is the Fanny I remember from evenings at the 'Mate in years past, she must be quite "mature" by now. Of course we are all of us aging.
-
I'm guessing that the relatively large number of dancers would have been on a Wednesday afternoon (1/11) as I'm told that the regular Wednesday buffet will often draw a larger number of patrons and dancers than on a more typical afternoon - don't think I've ever actually been there on a Wednesday afternoon though.

Vegas has told me that Mondays and Tuesdays are the best days to see her at the 'Mate.

Well stated, Kilt Boy. Something all of us should strive to remember.

Agree strongly....er...poor choice of words here.....ah....very much agree Kilt Boy. "Try(ing) just that much" can, I think, "make a huge difference." Freshly laundered clothes, a recent shower and decently fresh breath are, I'm guessing, very much appreciated by the ladies whatever else they may think of a given individual. -
An eventful Friday afternoon (12/30) at 340 as the ATF of many long-time Barb's patrons had her last shift. Arrived a bit before 2:00 just before Jenny's first stage appearances of the day and she told me she'd be going on for the last time around 4:00. On her first round the same gentleman went onstage with Jenny and Claire but, unlike yesterday, he left his Kodiaks on. Perhaps he was concerned that the strain on his heart would prove to be too much and he wanted to die "with his boots on". Most of the regulars were present - in addition to the dancers attending yesterday (Juicy, Sarah, Maddy, Harley, Claire), Bridgette was also in. Lots of audience participation today - Kilt Boy Sr. engaged onstage with Juicy and not long afterwards I noticed Kilt Boy Mk. I arrive and he seemed to be joined at his table quite promptly by, I think, Harley. Very magnetic, it seems. Later I thought I saw him in the CR with Bridgette, but my eyesight might have been clouded by the teariness as I was finishing up with Jenny for the last time. At one point Jenny told me she would have to refresh her eye makeup as 4:00 was approaching. The owner and the DJ provided a really nice send-off for Jenny and, as noted previously by Kilt Boy, Jenny's last turn onstage involved numerous dancers, patrons, shooters and hundred dollar bills. When the aforementioned gent mounted the stage, he chose to doff his Kodiaks yet again. Those in attendance provided lots of applause as Jenny was bid farewell. The end of an era at Barb's. In sic transit gloria Jenny.

Well Reddog01, Jenny told me today that she'll probably be staying to 6:00 or so tomorrow, but may be taking her final turn on stage around 4:00, although I'm not sure the latter is exactly carved in stone, might be somewhat later (or earlier). I'm going to make a special effort to see her final appearance under the lights at Barb's.

Couldn't resist dropping into 340 on the next to final day (12/29) of the long-time and all-time fave of many of the regular visitors to Barbarella's. It was one of those somewhat blustery days when it is so nice to trudge through the weather and then enter the cosy sanctuary of Barb's. Many of the recent regulars were in evidence as I arrived a little after 2:00 as Jenny was in the middle of her first turn on stage. After her second appearance, I noticed Claire, Juicy, Sarah, Harley, Maddy (Madison), Nikki and a very pretty dancer in glasses who seemed to be friendly with Nikki. Jenny's second appearance on stage featured a duo with Claire - those two really seem to be comfortable and able to have a lot of fun together under the lights, at least that's how it always appears. Jenny was as gorgeous as ever in a black one-piece and, as always, provided a warm and wonderful CR experience. Hope some of her many fans will be in attendance tomorrow to bid farewell to this terrific lady. If any attendees notice a black-clad patron sipping a Coke and waiting patiently for Jenny, that'll probably be me.

So will I, dressed all in black.

As I was entering 340 at about 1:30 today (12/23) a gentleman held the door as I passed and uttered "Welcome to Paradise". The scene was fairly busy and quite noisy as I settled in at a fave table and noticed a good number of patrons availing themselves of the free buffet. A number of the regulars were observed on stage and off - Bridgette, Claire, Sarah, Juicy, Harley, Maggie or possibly Maddy (?). Didn't notice any kilts, but an earlier post suggests that at least one of the kilt-wearers had taken his leave. (Guess neither of us is going to win the TV.) Said hello to a long-time poster on these boards after he enthusiastically greeted Bridgette. An ATF had told me that she would be in on Fridays for the rest of the month and as there are only two left (23/30), I was anticipating a sighting. However, unless one of her many fans had her engaged in an CR encounter of relatively "epic duration", she did not appear to be present. I lingered for about 90 minutes as I know she can be in the CR for an hour or so on many occasions, but by 3:00 I figured she was not present on this day. (Or were you engaging her attentions, Reddog01?) The atmosphere calmed down a bit after the buffet was cleared, but it was still fairly active as I left a bit after 3:00. A fun afternoon at Barb's, but not quite "Paradise" - especially with Jenny not in. Should I try again tomorrow afternoon? Will the club even be open on the afternoon of the 24th? If I'm in the area, maybe I'll see what's up.

How to get noticed by a stripper in the club

Good idea Kilt Boy! A tetrahedron would accomodate those three legends and on the fourth side mine would read : WAITING FOR JENNY For use at Barb's only, of course. Such an item would have been very useful over the last several years. -

Interestingly, I get this exact comment almost without fail from dancers everywhere, including the amazement that I don't use any lotions or potions. Perhaps it's the only physical characteristic they can conjure a positive comment about. -
Well curmudgeon, I wondered if the "striking, dark-haired beauty" I observed was Kitty and, in retrospect, I'm guessing it was. No, I do not know Phoenix so cannot confirm her presence or absence. But there were a few ladies not familiar to me.

Got into 340 this Saturday afternoon (12/10) at 2:00 and just as I was walking away from the bar with a drink and looking to find one of my favourite tables, what to my wondering eyes should appear but a bearded, kilted gentleman disappearing into the CR with Bridgette, I think. Afterwards I noticed him engaging in apparently spirited conversation with another dancer before departing around 2:45 or so. After settling at a table and seeing Sarah and Bridgette onstage and with a half-hour or slightly more having passed, I was beginning to despair that I had yet again picked an inopportune day for a Jenny sighting, but my flagging spirits were raised when she emerged from the CR. After a nice conversation catching up with her recent travels and other impending developments, off to the CR. Had been a while since I'd been back there so was unprepared for the blue/red mood lighting. Wanted to stay around to see Jenny onstage but she seemed to have a somewhat later time scheduled for appearing on stage, so departed about 4:00. In general, there seemed to be more dancers in the club than I'm used to seeing on Saturday afternoons. Also noticed Sin and a very striking dark-haired beauty I'm not sure I've seen before. Overall, quite a good Saturday afternoon at Barb's.

Nice anecdote about Chrissy keeping an eye on your wallet and phone. Reminds of the post in the 'Playmate?' thread in which the gentleman lost his wallet and the staff mailed it back to him in St. John's. https://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=709064&postcount=

This has always seemed to me to be the best way to approach things. Agree strongly with Reddog01's take on this issue. The pesky robo-editor is still at work on "circumstances" I see. Such a useful word, too. Guess I'll have to start using "situation".

How far is too far?
r__d replied to Kilt Boy's topic in Dancers and Devotees's Dancers and Devotees Topics
Have experienced most of the non-kilt-specific attentions specified here, but not all at Barb's. But then I've narrowed my range of encounters at Barb's over the years, Nancy-boy pants-wearer that I am. We all have our preferences and I have to say that I'm largely in accord with Kilt Boy regarding what is "unacceptable". Mostly. -

Just have to start getting in to 340 more with these sorts of wonderful shenanigans transpiring onstage. All except for the "if she pulls your kilt up" part. Yikes! (I see England, I see France, I wish I saw your.......) Incidentally, does your sporran ever get in the way? -
Barbarella's meetup [Nov. 23]
r__d replied to Kilt Boy's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Stripclubs & Dancers
Sorry that I missed the Summit. Suppose you are correct that a "business owner" would not be likely to be too forthcoming about the "state of affairs". In any case, it sounds like a good time was had by all. -
Barbarella's meetup [Nov. 23]
r__d replied to Kilt Boy's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Stripclubs & Dancers
Will try to get there but Wednesday at 6:00 may not work out too well for some of us. "I just had a chat with the owner." Did the owner have anything to say about the issues you alluded to in the first post in the thread? I've wondered for a while now just how long his lease runs for (and this is assuming that said lease has been assigned to Claridge). It pains me to revisit these things and don't like to speculate endlessly about rumours (but find myself slipping into doing so anyway), but it really would be nice to know when the curtain will come down at 340. As you suggest, there may not be much anyone can do about it, but a sense of the expected timeline would be helpful, at least to my mind. -
Finally got a chance to stop by 340 on Saturday (11/19) and found things quite active as Saturdays go. Arrived about 2:30 as the day was getting started. Some regulars were present - Bridgette (as expected - wish more dancers would post schedules here), the ever-elusive Kitty (who was greeted by a not-so secret admirer) and Juicy in a glittery blue skirt. Also noticed Megan and Sarah on stage. Aaliya (sp?) too I think. Some of the dancers seemed to be kept quite busy - there was a good deal of CR activity. Both Bridgette and Kitty disappeared for extended CR sessions not long after they engaged in a nice onstage duo. Juicy was busy most of the time I was there. Departed at about 3:15 as ATF Jenny did not appear to be in attendance. Perhaps she will be in sometime next week. (Didn't notice any kilts, either.)

Yes whiteman, Annika and Danica are two different ladies. Both tall and blonde, but Annika is much bustier, to say the least. Danica once told me that Annika is her "dear friend".
-
Thanks for the report rocky. Interested to know that Annika is around again. She seemed to disappear for a while. Danica once told me she (Danica) was moving to the UK. Perhaps she wasn't happy with Brexit. Appreciate the info. (Additional note: There appears to be some rather odd retrospective 'robo-editing' going on. An old post of mine in this thread used an innocuous word containing an objectionable (I guess) 3-letter word and this sequence was replaced with its 4-letter homonym (capitalized inside the larger word no less). Kinda makes me seem like I'm not too comfortable with the language. The word in question was (and let's see if it gets retrospectively or in real-time 'robo-edited' again) : circumstance.) (Yup. Robo-editor is on the job!)

"...and I enjoy the visual aspect of it." Very much agree with this viewpoint, Kilt Boy. Even though I'm often seeking a fave at the establishments I attend, the overall visual atmosphere is a big part of the allure to my mind. -
"....picking her nose...."? Really? "Not the most elegant....." Yikes!
