A little after 2:00 on Saturday afternoon (3/23) the 'Mate wasn't open. I seem to recall attending on a Saturday afternoon a bit before 2:00 in December last year. New weekend hours? Or is something else going on? Edit: Ah....the website says 4:00 opening on Saturdays.....maybe this is a change for 2013. I'm pretty sure it was around 2:00 when I dropped in on a Sat. last December (12/15). Another edit: Further perusal of the website reveals an announcement re "winter hours". Perhaps longer Saturday afternoon hours will be restored for the summer?

Looking forward to a trip to Barb's soon....hope my ATF will be back in April.

Good to hear that things were 'busy' at Barb's.

I'm told she's planning an extended vacation starting around January 20th or thereabouts. (But plans can always change.)

In the past, whenever I'd drop in on a Saturday she was never there. Lately it seems she's been in more often than not on Saturday afternoons. Oh well...

About what time is the 'Showcase' on a Friday afternoon? I've never witnessed a daytime Showcase - only remember them from (usually) Thursday through Saturday nights, typically at 11:00 or midnight.

Things were really quite busy on Friday (12/21) afternoon when I dropped in around 2:00. The crowd seemed to hold steady after the buffet closed and the general atmosphere was as active as I've seen it for many months. One notable change was a gorgeous new shooter girl and I noticed at least one unfamiliar but very lovely petite blonde dancer. Familiar ladies were much in evidence - both those I've seen lately (Claire) and at least one (Zoe, still brunette) I haven't seen for some time. A number of the regulars brought to mind some posters/readers of this thread - Kitty and V(a)laska (Capital Hunter), Ariel (Cato) and the always stunning Jenny (Reddog01). While the CR did not appear to be as busy as the club in general, it certainly seemed more active than I've observed in the recent past. In any case, I attempted to do my part in this regard with an extended ATF encounter.

Tend to agree with this view. To be honest, though, I say this as an afternoon/early evening clubgoer when the issue of the CR layout/configuration is not typically that much of an issue (as pointed out by Bridgette in a previous post). It's certainly understandable that the situation seems less than ideal (to say the least) when the CR gets busy and crowded. In any case, I'm planning to drop by to see a fave this week - hope others will do so as well.

I must have been there somewhat too early - certainly did not see anyone close to your description of 'Jayla' but the place was a good deal busier than I expected. I've seen it quieter on Friday/Saturday evenings in the past.

Dropped into Barb's (11/22) around 1:30 and found a fairly large crowd, at least in comparison to my (not so) recent visits. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that the CR was as busy as the club in general. As usual, things began to slow down a bit after 2:00. A number of familiar dancers were there as well as a few who were new to me. Among the latter were the very lovely Mina (sp.?) and the extraordinarily tall and leggy Stacy Jones. Someone near the bar apparently decided it was to be 'duo day' and within about an hour we were treated to three onstage duos. The first was Kitty and, I think, Mia (or was it Claire?) and then Jenny joined Claire onstage and again, shortly after, Claire climbed on the stage during Jenny's second turn. Claire and Jenny's onstage interaction was especially playful. As always, Jenny was a captivating vision and great to chat with as she related her recent globetrotting adventures. I didn't notice Ariel but she may have arrived later as suggested above (I departed around 3:30 or so).
