A slightly more subdued Friday afternoon (3/9) compared to last week but still a good amount of activity in the club. Cherry seems to enjoy onstage interaction with other dancers as she engaged in an impromptu duo last Friday - today it was a trio! Also of note, CR chairs were being replaced throughout the afternoon and it seems that the new ones are somewhat wider and noticeably lower than the old ones. When an ATF's "office" became available we moved to the usual location and this afforded a fairly immediate comparison between the two chairs. The new ones seem preferable, at least to me.

Dropped in about 1:30 or so (3/2) and found the place quite busy. Seemed to be lots of folks availing themselves of the buffet and the 'cut-rate' beverages. Some clubgoers got on the stage on their backs with bill in mouth - I've never observed this during day visits before and this led to some impromptu 'duos' on stage, again something I associate more with the evening. Lots of dancers too - probably as many as I've seen during an afternoon. A number of familiar dancers were there as well as a number who were new, at least to me. Cherry, Jade and curvy blonde Serena were among the eye-catchers. For once I did not notice Claire in attendance. Departed somewhat early as no ATFs were in evidence but in general it was good to see a busy day at Barb's.

Sounds like a good excuse to drop in.

Dropped in on Thursday (1/26) afternoon around 2:30 or so (just in time to see Jenny take her turns on stage) and found the atmosphere somewhat subdued. I guess the noon hour crowd had thinned out. Quite a variety of dancers present - blondes, brunettes and raven-haired beauties including a number of the regulars - Jenny, Gabriella, Jada, Roxy and, as ever, Claire sporting an astonishing new hue. Here's hoping Barb's can relegate the recent unpleasantness to the past.

Has this led to another closure? Or has the damage been dealt with relatively quickly? (I'm assuming it was largely limited to the front door in the second incident.) Any info on this would be appreciated. Thread posters were very informative after the arson incident.

Does anyone have any idea what the heck this is about? Any speculation? It seems that someone, with whatever motive, is intent on destroying this business.

That orange bikini really is very becoming on her, no question. Again it's good to hear that things seem to be getting back on track so quickly after what could have been a major disaster.

Will try for Friday as well or sometime next week. I hope anyone who's there on Friday (if open) will post re how things are after this lamentable incident.

"This Thursday" sounds a bit optimistic; "if ever" sounds ominous. Here's hoping the optimistic view prevails.

All this discussion re the possible (eventual) demise of Barb's has got me thinking I should drop in sometime next week just to make sure the place is still standing in the first week of '12.

I can only agree wholeheartedly with the (foregoing) comments posted in this thread. Always worth the wait and always a pleasure and a privilege to spend time with. In addition to her staggering beauty, Jenny is a very interesting and sophisticated lady to chat with.

It is a very informative and entertaining thread. My thanks as well to all contributors and to the thread starter. Hope to drop into Barb's again soon and I hope the thread will continue to be active in the new year.

Sorry but I don't know. Mariah told me she dances mostly Fridays and Saturdays (when in town) at Barb's.

A somewhat raucous 'party-atmosphere' Friday (12/9) at Barb's. Quite a busy and noisy scene. A few unfamiliar dancers and many faves as well. After I noticed Zoey, Jade and curvy blonde Mariah, a tall, leggy vision in black came into view, tequila shooters were acquired and a very pleasant time ensued.

It did seem very busy a bit later in the afternoon as well and the small number of girls was remarked upon by Jenny in conversation. There seemed to me to be a number of new dancers but, in addition to J., I did recognize Zoey (still brunette), the blonde Serena and, as always, there was Claire - Claire was there!

Saturday afternoons still seem to be retro 80s at Barb's but the full range of 80s material is heard from LA hair farmers to synth-heavy mopesters to AM radio pop fromage etc.

Dropped into Barb's Thursday afternoon (11/3) after a very timely post (thanks Reddog01!) suggested an ATF might be in attendance and found the place to be as quiet as I've ever seen it. To be fair, a number of the regulars were around and looking great on stage and a nearly deserted CR provided a relaxing atmosphere for an ATF encounter. On the other hand, Saturday (11/5) afternoon was really livelier than I've ever encountered on that day of the week - positively busy by 3:00 or so (although a bit subdued earlier) and it was a very blonde day at Barb's as well. On stage Kitty, Crystal, and blonde Mariah were noticeably gorgeous and enthusiastically received.

Haven't seen Jenny for a while either - thanks for the update Reddog01. The 'spidey sense' comes through again!

A dull and rainy Friday afternoon (10/21) in downtown O-town propelled me to 340. It was a relatively subdued afternoon at Barb's and again there seemed to be quite a few dancers unfamiliar to me. Also, yet again, a really noticeably non-blonde day - in fact not a single golden-tressed goddess was in evidence. Many of Barb's brunettes were looking lovely though, especially Zoe. Claire maintained her perfect attendance record (at least when I've been in) so she gets a gold star. What a trooper.

Has anyone seen the lovely Sonia at Barb's in recent weeks? It seems like it's been quite a while since I've noticed her in the club, at least in the afternoons. Perhaps she is there more often in the evenings lately? Should have checked her profile first I guess - seems that Sonia has not updated her schedule on profile page since the week of Aug. 23.
