Exactly! The majority of no shows are pre-booked appts. I tend to avoid this practice unless the gentleman is coming from a distant location! I need verification a min of 1hr prior to our rendez-vous (for pre-boooked)and a courtesy call or text that you are on your way 5-10mins prior to your arrival! This seems to work!

well put Scott. This problem will never go away and is quite rampant in Ottawa but the way I look at it....NEXT! (in a sarcastic voice). BTW...I would not bother waiting around for an hour...get on with your day and forget it after 15mins! (based on an hour)

No Mr Green....not at all actually. Sorry for jumping the gun! I think perhaps I am talking about those that would potentially get arrested for public intoxication. I am not that much of a prude LOL. Besides, the lunch time crowd is usually used to a few drams of booze LOL and can hold their liquor!

I must say that I am extremely shocked that this would even be suggested. Sorry if I appear matronly in my disgust but come on WTF. I would never even consider meeting someone under the influence of ANYTHING. While I have no qualms about two consenting adults indulging in a beverage together, being high or drunk and arriving on my doorstep would be totally inappropriate and definetely not tolerated. I am simply amazed that this has been brought up as a topic for discussion! Sorry if this offends but I am being truthful!

As voraciously as I consume all of the info on cerb, I too, somehow missed this thread! I am greatful for all of the wonderful friendships that have arisen from my participation on cerb. It feels like a welcoming cocoon as soon as I log on! I have some fantastic friends that I have both met in person and some that I will probably never have the chance to meet. Just knowing that you are all out there and so very supportive makes me feel wonderful! I am happy to see that the "bump in the road" of late has been somewhat rectified. I would be lost without the wonderful people that take the time to participate and impart their wisdom, their humour and their insight! I raise my glass in a toast to all the fabulous cerbites!
