  1. Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest: Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400 in your private account for your use. However, this prize had rules, just as any game has certain rules. The first set of rules would be: 1 Everything that you didn't spend during each day would be taken away from you. 2 You may not simply transfer money into some other account. 3 You may only spend it. Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $ 86,400.00 for that day. The second set of rules: 1 The bank can end the game without warning; at any time it can say, "It's over, the game is over!" 2 It can close the account and you will not receive a new one. What would you personally do? You would buy anything and everything you wanted, right? Not only for yourself, but for all people you love, right? Even for people you don't know, because you couldn't possibly spend it all on yourself, right? You would try to spend every cent, and use it all, right? ACTUALLY, THIS GAME IS REALITY!! Each of us is in possession of such a "magical" bank. We just can't seem to see it. THE MAGICAL BANK IS TIME! Each awakening morning we receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life, and when we go to sleep at night, any remaining time is NOT credited to us. What we haven't lived up that day is forever lost. Yesterday is forever gone. Each morning the account is refilled, but the bank can dissolve your account at any time... WITHOUT WARNING. WELL, what will you do with your 86,400 seconds? Aren't they worth so much more than the same amount in dollars? Think about that, and always think of this: Enjoy every second of your life, because time races by so much quicker than you think. So take care of yourself, do only what is good and right, be happy, and enjoy life! Here's wishing you a wonderfully beautiful day!!!
  2. Well then Cheek....start at the beginning of the alphabet and work yourself down the list :)
  3. Sending a lady a PM to find out when she is available is fine. I hope the other ladies agree!
  4. I bought mine at Best Buy. Good price and good quality. It's a Lynxis (not sure of the spelling)
  5. Thank you Carrie......I too am low volume and often the last minute appts are the most fun! As for the author of this thread....I am truly sorry that you had this type of encounter. Totally underminds the performance of the wonderful indies found here on CERB! :)
  6. My God Old Dog....you obviously have too much time on your hands!!! Absolutely love your sense of humour!
  7. Tabitha was the daughter....Samantha was her character :)
  8. All I can say is that I feel much better now that I realize I am not really a jinx!!! YEAH!
  9. Thanks Bucken...just about to start that book...tomorrow morning in the rain I guess :)
  10. Yeah....another Ellen fan!!!! I love her show and am also subscribed to her email list! She keeps me sane....well she keeps me laughing!
  11. Thanks Carrie....there is nothing better than a baby laughing so hysterically that he snorts! I watched it twice and now I am snorting too :)
  12. No Vero not pathetic...just pasionate!
  13. Yes ladies...once in awhile a perfectly wonderful gent comes along and likes to text you. It thrills me to receive those texts and to return in kind. Sometimes I find myself wishing he would text so that I could in return. But yet, never would I be the one to initiate the texting marathon!
  14. And also, let's not forget the "what if I am young and really attractive; do I get a discount for that"? REALLY?....WTF
  15. It just has not been the same without you :) Perhaps a thread about which CERB member is missed at any particular time and why they are missed? "Real life" and all of it's responsibilites sometimes gets in the way :(
  16. Also....please understand that, for whatever reason, a lady may offer discounts...this is in no way an invitation to negotiate!
  17. I am a huge supporter of CHEO and am very grateful for the wonderful outcome! I too, spent an extended amount of time there as a child. Thankfully, my own son only had minor visits but the welcome was fantastic! I have a friend whose 6 year old daughter was diagnosed with a very rare form of leukemia when she was 3. They have been wonderful and truly should be commended for the good health she is now enjoying! Thank you to all of the caring souls who donated either their time or their money!
  18. I quite simply say "sorry, the requested donation is for my time and my time is non-negotiable. Have a great day!"
  19. Agreed! Desperation for sure. I would never contact someone without their pre-approval!!!!
