  1. May be worth checking out this thread: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=219556#post219556
  2. That sounds like a good idea! I'm going to look into it. Thank you for the suggestion.
  3. I don't have voicemail at the moment. The whole phone thing is new to me. I prefer email. I'm not sure if I would want voicemail or not. I seem to be overwhelmed with email, PM's on CERB, text messages, and phone calls.
  4. I recently started using the phone for those who like to repeat their visits with me. I am still screening new gentlemen via email. An interesting dilema has unfolded. Should I answer the phone if I'm fully booked for the day? I have been answering for three reasons: -So you don't have to keep trying and can move on to see another provider if you so desire. -To tell you of other days I'm available (No I can't see you today, but I am available all day tomorrow!) -I feel (perhaps unjustafiably) that it is rude to ignore a phone call of someone who's been good to me just because I don't need their business. However, some people seem annoyed when I answer my phone and then decline to meet with them due to being booked for the day :( What do you think? EDIT: Very interesting that so far the majority voted "no". If this is what people would prefer, I will change the way I do things!
  5. I think that's a good idea. I have considered doing it myself, but I will be voting in centretown for an MP I believe in. Posted via Mobile Device
  6. Some of my friends are anarchists and I respect their choice not to vote. I think that making a point of not participating in what is sometimes viewed as a flawed system is perfectly legitimate. Not voting because you're lazy? That's a different story.
  7. Discretion is paramount in this industry and you did the right thing.
  8. I seem to get along best with men 35-60. But like any rule, there are exceptions!
  9. In my 4 years I've noticed that the first few weeks of "good" weather in spring result in a reduction business, just like the first few weeks of shitty weather in winter results in an increase in business. The sex industry is one of industries least affected by a depressed economy. Like food, human companionship and touch is a basic human need. In some ways an economic depression can help us because many people see us because they are depressed. I know of several gents who lost their jobs and started hobbying more to get them through the rough times. On another note, why is it that everyone always points out the bad times, but no one points out the good times? This last December and March were amazing for me!
  10. My personal opinion is that 28-35 seems to be the preference for most male hobbyists who actually spend money. I say this mostly based on my experience dancing in strip clubs. I know many women seem to think that as they age they will lose their income earning potential, but I'm 26 and I believe my best years are yet to come! At 26 I feel very privileged that I have "real life" experience, a university degree, and a level of maturity and intellect that I couldn't have offered my clients at 18-21. At the same time, I still have that hot teenage body. It's the best of both worlds! I love being 26!
  11. Centretown works very well for me and a good chunk of my visitors are on their lunch break within walking distance. I worked briefly in the West End and didn't do so well.
  12. Well I do have a no-knock policy. Maybe I'm a bit fussy, but most people seem to appreciate the care I give to ensure their discretion and my own. I'm not judging you, just informing you that yes, it does happen that a gentleman will meet a lady and be completely inappropriate with his conversation. This is normally at hotels that have elevator keys. Remember, SA, we see a lot in this industry.
  13. SA - Even though you know that you wouldn't solicit services, the lady doesn't know you and this can create anxiety. I personally find it very indiscreet.
  14. I've met a couple people who went there. I haven't heard anything extreme (either positive or negative) so I think it's worth a try.
  15. I agree! It's her body, how can you say you're "against it"? She's the one who has to live in it and I'm sure she can make the decisions that are best for her.
  16. I can't give too much advise on parlour culture, but if you are uncomfortable negotiating I would suggest seeing an independent whose fees are all inclusive. There are many independent MA's in Ottawa such as myself, Bethany's Sweetest Massage, imkrissy, Jessica Massage, etc (This is to the best of my knowledge but best to confirm with each other). You pay the rate, and the lady will take charge and lead you on a sexy journey! There is no negotiating and no akward conversations. I wish more parlours would take the "all inclusive" approach. It's a lot easier on you guys as well as on us!
  17. Even though CERB has roughly equal men/women ratio of posters, in reality the overwhelming majority of CERB members are men. It's safe to say that close to 100% of female CERB members post because this is their business and if they don't, they can't solicit clients. However, I'd estimate (this is a total guess) that 10-20% of male members post. I believe that most men are interested in seeking out service providers and have little to no interest in being a part of the community.
  18. I feel kind of mean posting this, but I saw a lady once who said you needed to tell her if you wanted to do DATY before the session, so she could freshen up. My thought was, if you just go for full service it's not fresh??!?
  19. I don't have any problem with nudity; I do have a problem with violence. I find it very strange that to so many violence is more acceptable than nudity.
  20. Congratulations, Erin! I have never smoke a cigarette, but I have watched those close to me struggle with the addiction. Best of luck to you!
  21. I very much like the social aspect of massage. I understand it's not for everyone (I do get the occasional "Why are you talking to me? Just rub my dick" guy). I like to be open and honest about what I'm good at and what I provide. I used to have on my website that I offered "Private lapdancing, erotic massage, and companionship." Unfortunately many people interpreted companionship as full service, luckily BEFORE they booked with me but it still was frustrating. :(
  22. I like the concept of your diary and I think it's important for consumer's to make good decisions with their hard-earned money. While I don't agree with bait & switch and would never recommend a client to a lady who does this, I also try to not be judgmental and to be compassionate. You never know what kind of situation she is in.
  23. These are the top reasons that men tell me why they prefer massage. Up there too is "I'm married and something is missing in my marriage, but I don't want to sleep with another woman."
  24. I know that many of the gentlemen I see also see escorts, and that many are self-described "massage-only guys". I'm very curious, so here's a poll :) It is intended for massage hobbiests in Ottawa.
