This has been quite difficult as I have a list of needs and wants also. Like I said I have lived here all my life and don't want to move where anybody would be uncomfortable visiting me. At the top of the list is me and where I am comfortable being. I will take in to consideration all of your suggestions and go from there. I thought picking out new furniture was going to be a task:???:.

I see. I have lived here my entire life and am fully aware of the streets/areas off of Dutch Villiage. I just basically want to get an idea of where people who would like to see me would not feel uncomfortable going.

Cupcakes all around for all that have had this type of experience. If you are ever in Halifax and need a real tasty cupcake to put a smile back on your face go to Sweet Janes (Not Mary Janes lol) and get there before 12:00p.m. they go quick because they are just that good. I use to work by there and would go at 10:00a.m. on break to make sure I got one.

I agree "Definitely customer retention tactic". I was lucky enough to go to the dealership where my cousin works and he gave me the inside scoop on what cars are always in the shop and what would be less of maintenance issue in the end as I did get my car on an impluse buy and as a new driver.

I feel for you and sometimes for me it is hard to turn someone away but our/my safety comes first and our instincts guide us very well. I have been dealing with something very similar. First he was a "no show" and contacted me again with some BS. Now he is texting from different numbers and demanding me to call him. First of all that is no way to speak to a lady, which ever form it may be "call me now" sorry but I don't think so. I'm a lady and I demand to be treated with respect and approached in a proper manner. Additional Comments: It is disappointing to hear this but I guess eveyone has their own comfort level and hopefully you were told so in a polite manner. In the end it worked out for you. Myself I see gentlemen who are in wheel chairs and are very comfortable with doing so as I have family members that are in chairs. My only thing is my current in call location does not accommodate wheel chairs for now so I usually go to see them. That is about to change, hopefully very soon.

I get that too. No if you can only goes once and the first one gotcha well it gotcha. It is just something I offer if you are able to I say.

I agree and feel unsafe if the person on the other end is not forthcoming with the information that I have requested and you must have a cell phone to see me for in-service, as my safety comes first and I have just started to announce that.

Very true. I love the internet but it can be a scary place, especially when this is a very private business for the SP and the hobbyist.

I agree with you 100%. Hopefully someday change will come but alot of people don't like change and can't adapt to change.

You said "poor judgement". FB even allows people to post their website links as I have seen a person I know from school post his website to promote his girlfriend or whatever she is to him. He was deleted quick, as I see her ads on CL. I went through my friends list today with a fine tooth comb.

Wow. That was a tough one. I can say I have never actually met any spouses, seen some in the grocery store with the gentlemen that I have met with but never actually met one. Some have emailed me and I ignore them and if they call I just say I don't know anyone by that name may be there was a mistake in the phone number, they usually say well I'm reading your email right now. I always say I'm sorry I must have typed in the wrong email address, playing the dummy, then they usually say well when I don't want him you can have him or if he contacts you again don't respond to him please. I always say most certainly. Usually the name they have told me I don't know anyways, as they have given me a different name. So when you think about it I am not lying, I really have no idea who they are talking about and this has never happened with anyone that I have actually met, if it was I would deny deny and lie. This has happened about 3 times.

I'm very hesitant to do this but sometimes people don't actually go to your website to see if you are available and I certainly don't want to get anyone in trouble or cross the line of privacy and discretion. While on vacation I don't answer my emails or phone. I will of course log in here to see what's been going on and to see how everyone is when I have the time. What are your thoughts?

I agree have 3 girlfriends that have met men off these sites and are now married and some have families. It it working out pretty well for them. For us SP's it may be difficult when the time comes to tell them what our jobs are but if they do love you/us they should understand, you would think.

I had real fun with this one Amanda. I had stop and get control of myself. Once I got on Youtube that was it. Those songs brang back some awesome memories!!

I totally understood the intent of the thread. I just wasn't sure if it was open to SP's to comment and I was simply just saying thank you for creating a thread like this for us. It's great to see and read that we are appreciated and that you have genuine affection for the SP's.
