  1. Baking pastries and listening to Neil Young.
  2. When I was a kid, I always thought that the line from "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" was Now bring us from friggin' pudding.
  3. I think you are all hiding something. Because everybody's got something to hide except me and my monkey The Beatles - Everybody's got something to hide except me and my monkey
  4. And the monkeys need something to eat. Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Graa_Vm5eA
  5. Then comes the monkey man's friendship with Tweeter The Headstones - Tweeter and the Monkey Man (Traveling Wilburys cover) Plus, the song references Springsteen, aka The Boss, just to tie it back to Phaedrus' post.
  6. Old Man Leudecke - Joy of Cooking http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXNMy-dYo5c For those who like spending time in the kitchen.
  7. Richard Feynman would have a contender for me as well, but since Phaedrus already picked him, I'll go with Ernest Hemingway. The man had so many adventures in his life and it would be fascinating to hear a few of his stories.
  8. Rich Terfry is the name of Buck 65, the Haligonian rapper and CBC Radio 2 host. Buck 65 - Wicked and Weird

  11. Allman Brothers Band - Mountain Jam Settle in, it's a long one.
  12. I like Angela because she calls me Clint as per my avatar. I'll take that.
  13. It's a great idea. For those concerned about discretion, anybody you know there shares the same secret you do. On the other hand, if nobody else shows up. I get to hang out with Penelope all by myself! :D
  14. Perhaps they got the beer from a moonshiner Uncle Tupelo - Moonshiner
  15. I like shymale because you can make an anagram of his name to be "Ah me sly". Which makes me think that maybe this whole shy persona is a ruse and he's actually super sly. :D
  16. And what could be better than a band of foxy ladies? Or more specifically, a riot grrl supergroup. Wild Flag - Romance This is one of my favourite songs from last year.
  17. Although this is only tangentially related, James Cameron has certainly been doing some interesting things lately. Like going to the bottom of the Marianas trench, the deepest place in the world. http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2012/mar/26/james-cameron-mariana-trench-dive There are lots of activities in Halifax to commemorate the anniversary, including some restaurants doing meals that were served on the Titanic and bands that are playing the songs that would have been played on board. Halifax has a museum with many Titanic artifacts and is the harbour where the survivors and the dead were taken to after the sinking.
  18. Fleet foxes eat white rabbits. Hence, Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mR8Z-gmK1g
  19. Many congratulations to Penelope! You are one of my favourite reasons for logging into CERB.

  21. Here's to all the young kids with the pumped up kicks (creepy song if you listen to the lyrics)
  22. Have a good one RG. Hope you reel in something nice!
  23. Possibly the opposite of the Stray Cat Strut Rolling Stones - Stray Cat Blues http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDTe0aq0MkY
