One of my favourite songs about mornings. Bob Dylan - Meet Me In The Morning http://gozie.com/video/X16XUWU4AU13/bob-dylan-5-meet-me-in-the-morning

Congrats Phaedrus! Well deserved, my friend.

Many Happy Returns Old Dog!

Happy Birthday Old Dog! -
I like Angela because she was a pioneer in putting your name and your city as part of your CERB name. A trend I later followed. Oh, and clearly everyone else likes her too, since she has ascended to Beatle status! :D

Folsom Prison Blues is about a train. And so is this song. If train was misspelled. And had nothing to do with trains. Kings of Leon - Trani And Phaedrus, you have found the margin where my applause axis and groan axis meet. :)

I just noticed that AngelaofOttawa has joined WIT as the only members to surpass the 20,000 rep point plateau! But since she is already a goddess, there is only one higher plane to which she can ascend. The only thing "bigger than God" , is, of course, the Beatles.* So congratulations Angela on becoming the fifth Beatle!** *At least according to the misquote of John Lennon who claimed they were "more popular than Jesus" **Or 2nd fifth Beatle along with WIT

Another excellent choice, arejayell! And it pairs nicely with this one. Allman Brothers Band - Hot 'lanta

I think you've got to look at it as individual SPs, not locals and visitors. There are local SPs who never miss booked appointments and are of the utmost professionalism. However, there is certainly more incentive for a travelling SP to not miss an appointment as it can mean not being able to cover her costs, as opposed to a local SP for whom it may only mean a loss of income. I think that, especially when you are talking about smaller cities like Halifax, you are probably correct that most travelling SPs (or at least the ones who advertise on CERB) are going to be very organized because they have to plan the trip in advance and ensure that they can cover their expenses.

Donovan wants to take you on a journey to the mystical land of Atlantis. Using 95% fewer didgeridoos than Xavier Rudd. But probably using about the same amount of psychedelics. :D Donovan - Atlantis

Something about the Maritimes
AndyofHalifax replied to Jabba's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Glad to hear it, Jabba! What are you looking for recommendations of? Places to visit on the East Coast? Or companions to visit on the East Coast? Or both? Have you considered doing a Newfoundland trip? Driving up the West Coast of Newfoundland is pretty phenomenal and Gros Morne park is quite a treasure. The Nova Scotia Annapolis Valley and South Shore make for a nice loop as well, especially in early fall. St Andrews is a pretty nice spot to spend a few days in New Brunswick as well. -
This band did a lot of running for this video. OK Go - Here It Goes Again

Well then, that allows me to play this card Tito & Tarantula - After Dark This was featured during one of the sexiest scenes in all of cinema, Salma Hayek dancing on stage in From Dusk to Dawn, screenplay by Quentin Tarantino.
-
And another Tarantino song, from Death Proof The Coasters - Down in Mexico http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CraXMW9s06E Bonus is that the scene is a lap dance!

Here's another "Japanese" band that isn't Japanese in the least. Although I like them more than Old Dog's "Japanese" band Tokyo Police Club - Bambi

Well Sigur Ros went on hiatus in 2010 (dead) but are back touring in 2012 (alive!) Plus this song plays in the climax of one of my favourite films The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. During the scene Zissou (Bill Murray) and most of the cast are in a submarine deep in the ocean. Sigur Ros - Staralfur

Well that leaves me little choice but to post this song. Which is tipping over into the overplayed category for me, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Adele - Rolling in the Deep
