How to lose weight
HarveySpecter replied to Jabba's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
The only thing close to magic is Cardio, Cardio, Cardio. I have gone through a variety of them this past year and had my most fun with the upright bike. I just mount on it with my music on and keep going for an hour at an high intensity 3 to 4 days a week. But like someone said earlier, everyone is different. Try out various forms of cardio exercises or equipments and if rusty, that is fine as your endurance builds if you keep up with it. this helps keep a steadily high metabolism to burn off fat as long as your keep your carb intake low. I started off with just lasting 5 mins on the bike at the beginning of the last year but now im steady at 50 to 75 mins every other day. The food part is quite important too. Just try to avoid raw sugars and carbs and go with more fibrous stuff like brown rice, unsalted nuts, oats. As well high protein foods like salmon and chicken breast. -

Waht is your favorite takeout food?
HarveySpecter replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Mostly chinese for me. from Sweet and sour chicken balls to Shangai noodles and spare ribs with the honey garlic sauce. -
I certain watch the WWE. not as committed as before but i catch thru the pay-per-view events as most time they re-tell the story of how each fights got to happen. Favorite Diva for me is Lilian Garcia, the announcer. I know thats a cop out but she is pretty hot. as for the female wrestlers it would have to be kelly kelly and the twins and roll out with Broadus Clay at the moment. Randy orton has to be the one with some real talent at the moment. As well as the usual suspects like Cena, CM Punk and the Undertakers though we dont see him too often. All time favorites would be Bret Hart, British Bull Dog and Ultimate warrior too. Those got me started in watching it alot more. these days its all about the RAW shows as the Smackdown show i dont care much for especially since its on fridays.

Sons of Anarchy - stars Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal and Kim coates. really good drama show entering its 5th season this fall. Suits - a show in its 2nd season at the moment that ends this thursday. The Newsroom - an HBO show in its 1st season created by Aaron Sorkin and stars Jeff Daniels and Emily Mortimer. Really good show about newroom politics and the coverage of current affairs. It covers news events from about 2 yrs back but from the P.O.V of a newsroom. BOSS - A politically-inclining show that stars Kelsey Grammer as the Mayor of Chicago with some neurological disease and how he deals with that and his family. its 2nd season just started and its great too. Oh Yeaa and Breaking Bad- in its final season and a really great great show. Probably will get mentioned alot here.

What does it mean to have a 'home'?
HarveySpecter replied to Nathalie L's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Home, for me, is all about serenity and comfort. A place or my space that provides the calmness from a relaxing music playlist (like the track u posted and most tracks from Bon Iver) to decompress from busy day or get lost in a thought. And gives me that comfort to enjoy a good movie, tv show, soccer or podcast. -

What is your comfort food?
HarveySpecter replied to Nathalie L's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Im a sucker for the honey garlic wing in the loblaws freshly cooked food department. All sorts of juicy and explosiveness and goes with some baked sweet potatoes for my lazy evenings. Also bbq jerk chicken thighs and drums. -
