I got an overseas call last night around 3 a.m. from the wife (now widow) of a man who was the principal at an international school my son taught at a couple of years ago, they became friends, and the family visited Canada, Ottawa and Toronto specifically. The phone call was from a desperate distraught woman, who just lost her husband, along with eight students who were trying to flee Syria, who thought they were safe travelling in a Red Cross convoy. Not so much. Hezbolah, Syrian troops, Syrian Rebels, who knows who was responsible. Couldn't get back to sleep after the telephone call, so pulled out some of the old LP's, cd's and blasted songs protesting war in general. In the 60's it was Vietnam, then Grenada, African nations with oil, African nations without oil, the 'Stans, the Middle East. When will the killing of the innocents end? If you give a shit about such ramblings, let me know what your favourite anti-war songs are. Some of mine are: Edwin Starr: War Micheal Franti: Can bomb the world to pieces but you can't bomb the world to peace The Doors: Apocolypse Now- The End CCR: Fortunate Son Donovan: Universal Soldier Animals: We Got to Get Out of this Place Country Joe & the Fish: Vietnam Song Barry Maguire: Eve of Destruction

Good morning friends. Was thinking (yes, yes I know that is a rare occurrence and probably deserves it's own thread) about when hobbyists like myself see more than one mp and/or sp. As many of you know, I LOVE OUR CERB LADIES (& GURLS) and if possible would love to experience each and everyone of you. However reality being what it is, I can't; although I can give it the good ol' college try!!!!! There are SP's I see more often, and feel a strong connection to, both physically and mentally, many of which I consider friends and confidants. This group is getting smaller and smaller in number as I relish the time together for what it brings in all manner of things, including teasing and laughter. There are MP's I see more often than others, again because of the connection we have made, the fun we have together and the comfortable feeling we have together. Both groups fulfill obvious needs. However, as someone much more educated than I said, "variety is the spice of life". I do not wish to annoy or upset either group or any of the Ladies I see, but sometimes worry that maybe I should just focus on one or two. Comments please! And again, thank you to all the Ladies of Cerb! The Liquor

Greetings all and thanx for checking up on me and this travel! So the results are in from the operation in February: -good news: they took out chunks of bone from the shoulder, additional scrapings showed they got all the cancer!! YAY -bad news: they took out a two inch by two inch chunk of the deltoid muscle, additional tests showed ..... they did not take enough!! BOO So, going to continue with physio four times per week, get the strength back and some tone to the muscle system in the shoulder and especially in the arm (just think of all that up and down movement I must do now as part of my physio Yee Haa!) Saw the docs at Princess Margaret in Toronto on Friday, to get "the schedule", and they ended up giving me a chemo shot which left me feeling like a bag of hammers for the weekend. They will go back in and use the laser knife again in ?November or ?december to take out the rest. So in the meantime, will "play" as much as possible, enjoy the sun, the Ladies of Cerb and hopefully golf in August. In the meantime, offering golf lessons to the Ladies of Cerb (separate thread). Thanx again for all the continuing words of encouragement, it is really appreciated. The Liquor

Hi Ladies Since the shoulder will not let me play this year, thought I would offer my services(for free). For the last four years I have been a one handicap, when younger I went to university of New Mexico on a golf scholarship, and was an assistant pro for four years teaching in southern Ontario. So if you are just starting out, or someone who wants to hone their game, let me know! There should be a league for the Ladies to have some fun!

I love wearing "non-conservative" socks with dress slacks, jeans, and suits (although don't need to wear those very often any more). Bright colours, stripes, polka dots, paisley, whatever! The company out of Montreal has outstanding socks. Now that you have seen my conservative pants, I have socks, and sweaters and shirts to match each colour in the pattern!! I was going to order golf shoes to match, but thought that would be going overboard!!! Anyway, while surfing Cerb, as I am known to do, I have started to notice and enjoy the outstanding leggings some of our Cerb Ladies wear. HOT, HOT and HOT. Who doesn't love bright colours, hounds tooth patterns, stripes on naked, sexy ladies!!! Well, that is where my thought process is this morning. Ladies, if you have any hot pics, with stunning leg coverings, please post here for all to enjoy!!! Hugs and kisses and licks to all the Ladies of Cerb. TheLiquor

So much for all the noise on anti-bullying, the courts and the police hands are tied until the provinces and federal governments get off their collective asses. Senior abuse is in the same category. In 2010 I presented to Police Chiefs across Canada the latest stats and studies on elder abuse, after the death of my dad by my mother. Despite testimony against her, records of abuse by the family doctor, nothing was done prior to his death, nor post death. Wake up politicians! Condolences to the family.
