Well this certainly makes sense and I think I'll print it out. Being an SP for about 8 months you learn something new all the time. Everything you mentioned I do, and Ive only had less than a handful of no shows. I was just confused about the slowness. It kind of shook my confidence a little until it was somewhat explained to me. The thought of the negativeness was just something I was throwing out there. Thank you for taking the time and effort to create such a post. May I suggest you sticky it in the Newbie Section as it is very clear. :D

Im wondering if perhaps the tone of the board lately is indirectly the reason there have been an increase in no-shows and just plain slow days. Not thinking this is true...just a thought. :confused:

Yes, we can walk down the street and no one has a clue. Goodness you should see what I'm wearing right now....umm, no maybe not. :-) I am sorry I couldn't attend. My very best friend from the time I was 18 (and yes she knows Angela) was in from out of province. It would have been very difficult to explain where I/we were going. Exactly. I had a longtime pre booked evening planned with a gent tomorrow. He had to cancel and not only emailed me, he called as well, on Monday. This happens with this person periodically, but because I know what he does for a living, I know it is legitimate and that I will see him again soonest. :)

Ok lets put this into prospective with a trend toward any generic business: Business is slow at some times of the year but not in others. Customer service and satisfaction should be of the utmost importance. Staff get ill, have lives and family emergencies. Customers get ill, have lives and family emergencies. Some companies have better reputations than others. As a consumer you can always vote with your feet, and should do so if the business is not to your satisfaction. Any company still reserves the right to refuse service in this country. No customer should be harranged by staff. No staff should be harranged by customers. Some companies are final sale. How is this any different than this business?

I have cancelled due to illness or family issues, but far in advance. This is the "busness end" of things and should be respected by all. I have also been fortunate enough to have had few no shows and never book back to back. Ewwwww

Although a little further and much pricier, Zone Spa has one outside tub that you can adjust yourself. http://zonespa.com/eng/index.html I was there in April/May and WOW what a place. Hot tubs every where, saunas, a Nordic pool and cold water sluice, natural lake to choose from, fire places, a yurt for quiet. Everything. But then again, it is rather far. 8-)
