  1. Thank You So Much For Nominating Me September's Member Of The Month It Is Very Much Appreciated A Special Thank You Goes Out To Jessy Celeste Who Mentioned Me For September Member Of The Month ...Her Post And "Recommendation" Are Especially Appreciated A Humble But Appreciative Thank You To All (Bet You Thought I'd Say Rambling LOL) RG
  2. Yesterday watched a couple Murder On The Orient Express Buffaloed Beirut Tom
  3. October off to a strange start but hopefully this month will be good and I think it will be🤞 First off the strange, took the garbage out only to find three racoons in the bottom of the dumpster eating away. Super's been called, I don't have any animal traps here LOL but it kind of startled me to be honest. But things took a turn for the good. Got back inside my apartment (primarily for cup number 2) and slipped under the door a "Order Under Section 132 Residential Tenancies Act" Scary until I read it...we've been overcharged rent, and are getting rent reduced .086% and it's effective Dec 31 2018 so a bit (little bit LOL) of a cheque coming my way But better to get some money than have to dole it out. Next week on Fri Oct 9 after a LONG wait I finally get the MRI done on my knee. Hopefully that'll get the ball rolling on medical treatment (I think surgery) for the knee. Physiotherapy helps but it's more a band aid fix it, not a treatment. But the physio builds muscles, so my physiotherapist says which helps in recovery after surgery. And bonus, my physiotherapist is a woman and I agree with George Costanza there LOL... Finally a road trip in my future too...the type I like to take. This lady is nice (yes it's our very first date) from all dealings I've had with her on-line (including email) Hotel reserved. Dinner reservations made. The only thing I'll need is a COVID test as a precaution before I go That is how my October looks so far...and it looks good A rambling RG
  4. Kinda getting a hankering for a coffee right now🙂☕🙂 RG
  5. Went to Peterborough (where my doctor is) and after getting my routine bloodwork done picked up my prescription (glad I have a health plan) and then on the way home gassed up...wish I had a plan covering gas fill ups for my truck LOL Good combo...gas and drugs RG
  6. Took the truck in for servicing this morning (oil change, multi point vehicle inspection, tires rotated) All went well (I guess) except in my future (well my truck's future) new brakes will be needed. Fortunately they didn't try to make it seem like an immediate crisis for them to deal with now, so I'll save my pennies and take it in likely Jan or Feb. But after that I went home the long way home....why you may ask. From the garage the long way home takes me by the cheese factory. And yes I stopped for some cheese...10 year old cheddar, jalapeno&red chili cheese (not for children), mozzarella with onion and fresh from the factory itself, a big bag of fresh curd After that home A rambling Looking forward to dinner...a fresh bag of curd washed down with a Becks no alcohol beer RG
  7. Tonight...and likely the rest (or most of the week) ribs and sauerkraut. I've also tossed in a few bratwursts too. So a rib, brat and some kraut for dinner washed down with Becks no alcohol beer. Been busy today, laundry done and ribs and brats are in the slow cooker cooking away A rambling Now dishes RG
  8. The building excitement continues. I've just got a room booked at a hotel for my upcoming date. Although this is true of each and every date I've had, whether with a companion I see (saw) regularly or a new (for lack of a better word) companion, my heart is pounding and my knees (and not because of my bad knee LOL) are weak. I just hope I don't make a fool out of myself when I answer her knock on my door A happy excited rambling RG
  9. Damn guess if I was ice cream I'd be.....LOL Yes I'm vanilla, or in other words boring RG
  10. Is that a scarf or a COVID mask not being worn properly LOL RG 🙂
  11. Sorry Lydia LOL https://twitter.com/roamingguy1/status/1309247699603120128 RG
  12. Thank You Lydia for agreeing to be interviewed and "sharing" a bit of yourself with us. If this was like the old days of CERB/Lyla your interview would very likely get "Nominated" (Big Checkmark) and win "Topic Of The Fortnight" too I think it's safe to say we all like you as Mod Lydia, and the work you and the rest of the team do for us here. Even more impressive is it's your first run at being "Admin" on a board, from the way you've done things I thought you were seasoned experienced veteran. And I agree with the others who say you're a knock out...you're a knock out A rambling RG
  13. This a separate post and suggestion for a topic. How about screening/verification and paying deposits (well you get the idea) to companions by clients. There are still (or seems to be, based on what I read) some guys who protest being screened and paying deposits. But this could be a topic for the "education" of clients. BTW guess with this pic you can figure out my opinion on screening/verification RG
  14. Adding a couple more Is this the first board you've "Admined/Moded" or have you previous experience being a "Mod" Why did you keep the Lyla mantra "if you don't have something nice to say...." Was there any pressure to change to a review board like the _erb sites (BTW glad it's not a review board) Just a couple more questions I could come up with...maybe another coffee is needed RG
  15. Did something I haven't done in quite awhile...made semi final confirmations for a date. I've got a date all paid for (well except for gift and tip 😉 ) and after careful thought and taking precautions (testing etc) and the fact the lady told me she'd be available (I don't want to pressure a companion into a date if she didn't want to go) I'm taking a road trip (haven't done that in a long time) and have a six hour escape What's extra special, this is the first time I've met this lady...I haven't had a "first" date in a long long time Yes I'm excited about meeting her and my heart's pounding in anticipation...after all half the fun of a date is the building excitement...so I guess the fun of the date has started A Happy Rambling RG
  16. A panicked purchase today. I've been in 100% self isolation for the past few days (no nothing wrong...ok some may say that's debatable LOL) but my coffee intake increased (surprise) I realized I wouldn't have enough coffee till grocery shopping day so I went out to pick up a box of Keurig Starbucks Sumatra flavoured coffee☕ While at the grocery store I did a bad bad thing...picked up a bag of chips too I found out no matter how small your purchase will be you MUST use a shopping cart though...I could have carried everything in one hand and used my cane. But told it's also to keep separation between shoppers...found it funny big shopping cart, box of Keurig and bag of chips and that was it. I know, a rambling about not much at all LOL But I have coffee RG
  17. Thank You Jessy. Glad giving you my support and Really Appreciate you nominating me for Member Of The Month🙂 An Appreciative Rambling RG
  18. Just finished watching Season 1 "Away" Actually better than expected, looking forward to when Season 2 streams on Netflix RG
  19. My date when I tell her I'm close to seeing her LOL
  20. I thought I'd post this topic because I've noticed more than a few companions advertising (both here and Twitter...likely elsewhere too) they are back working and it follows there must be more than one or two clients seeing companions now. And I think I've mentioned that I've paid for three dates in full (17 hours in full paid for, yet to be consummated LOL) so there's a little, well more than a little personal interest too. Clients and Companions may have strong feelings one way or the other about dates during these times. This post isn't about whether you should see clients/companions or not, this is more about the safe(est) way to see a client/companion during these times (does that make sense) If you have strong feelings about seeing clients/companions please read lydiahardwood's post and thread first https://www.lyla.ch/topic/184797-no-judgement-during-the-pandemic-please/ Now after all that long winded rambling one of the ladies I pre paid for a date quite a few months ago contacted me on Monday (Labour Day) saying she would be in town (one of the towns I tour to, I'm a touring client LOL) at the end of October and would I like to finally meet her? I checked my calendar and other things and said "yes" OK more than a little personal interest I guess Now for what I'm doing precaution wise. Yes I'm aware of the serious risks and what I'm doing from my end to minimize the risks. First I'll be Covid tested (again) getting that damned swab shoved up my nose...and yes I'll cry (anyone not tested yet get tested, you'll understand why you cry) prior to the date to ensure I'm covid free. And if not obviously I'll cancel. Second and no change I'll be living 80% self isolated (I only go out for groceries and medical/physiotherapy) Only change upon return from the date I'll lock myself in my place and live 100% self isolated for a two week period. If symptoms show, I'll get tested...actually I'll get tested whether symptoms showing or not Third when out I'll wear a mask, keep six feet distance between myself and others, wash my hands (frequently) with disinfectant soap and followed with hand sanitizer The companion I'm going to see gets tested (covid tested that is) every two weeks so when we meet it'll be two covid free people meeting. And the drive home the next day no stops (I usually get a coffee for the road) This time straight home close and lock the door and out again in two weeks time. With all that posted, what are clients/companions doing to reduce risks if they are booking dates? Or if not booking dates but thinking about it what are they going to do to reduce risks. And it's not just information for me but for anyone who could benefit from the information. A long winded rambling RG
  21. While no personal experience with companions from Nova Scotia don't worry about being a new nervous person. I was nervous on my very first date some ten years ago and I still get nervous on dates (both with ladies I've met before and new ladies I'm about to meet) If seeing a companion doesn't get you excited, weak in the knees, heart pounding etc etc whats the point...that's half the fun of meeting a companion, whether for the first time, fifth time or whatever. Guess you could call me an experienced (but happy) nervous client. As for companions you got some great suggestions. I would also second waterat's post and that's to look in the NS recommendation section. Finally I'll leave you with this...this picture is me answering the door on my first date back in July 2010, and it'll be me answering the door on my next date in 2020 and all dates in between...explains the bruises on my body. That said, enjoy your date A long winded rambling RG
  22. She was member of the month in June and is one of the most positive people I have "met". . . (I put met in quotations because it is only through Twitter and Lyla I have met her, not in person) And that is an interview with Athena Lust. I'm so privileged as many are to get her daily positive shout outs (OK there's a personal side to this) just brightens my day and I'm sure she brightens many others' days. I think an interview with her would be both interesting. So I recommend an interview with Athena. If it goes like all her Tweets and post it'll brighten your, well everyone's day. And she is one lady if I go out west for a trip I'd like to make some time to meet her...she's someone special RG
  23. Finished watching "Designated Survivor" a 3 Season (all on Netflix) TV Show Took a little break from "DS" and watched Jaws...first time I saw that movie was in 1975 when it came out in theatres...yes flashbacks to when I was a kid Watched "Skyscraper" last night...sort of a cross between Towering Inferno and Die Hard with a healthy dose of bs...but entertaining LOL A Rambling RG
  24. Well not a purchase as such but this seems to be the best thread to post it. I decided to increase the number of hours I was seeing one companion from four to six and etransfered the remaining balance to her just now. Only thing is working out when we can schedule our date I have as of now booked seventeen hours between three ladies. Just waiting till we finally get to meet...well two I know and one it'll be our first date. Haven't had a first date in a long time it seems Better stop and catch my breath A happy rambling RG
