Well I thought of using the Eurythmics Sweet Dreams, but then I recall that they also did a little song Here Comes The Rain Again, which seems appropriate since a few songs back it was songs about rain and by me posting this song, well here comes the rain again LOL Here Comes The Rain Again-Eurythmics RG

Question about anonymity?
roamingguy replied to backrubman's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I know when I provide my verification information to a lady (and information I provide is my real name, board handle confirmed by pm, phone number, email and reference) I do expect that my verification information is going to be checked. That I don't view as being stalked, it is due diligence. I do view it as necessary because the ladies need to screen out the potentially bad clients and until we meet, both the lady and myself are strangers. It is also a good icebreaker, and goes a long way to establishing a trusting relationship between two people who are as of yet strangers, and when we do meet, as Gabriella says, have an awesome safe time! :-) RG -

I'm Roamingguy, and honestly, don't even remember how or why I came up with that handle. Some ladies know my real name, and any ladies I meet out there, I will be glad to share I work for the federal government, in one of the public safety departments (no I'm not a cop) but that is what I do for a job, not who I am. Looking forward to another five years, when I'm retired. I love my family, and have a close group of true friends I love the outdoors, especially fishing, as you all may have gathered. That is my hobby I love this lifestyle, and find the ladies I have met have enriched my life. And no, I can't bring myself to view this as a hobby. Fishing is a hobby. Stamp collecting is a hobby. Interpersonal and intimate encounters I can't and don't view as a hobby. For me, if I saw interpersonal encounters as a hobby that would cheapen the whole encounter. People aren't hobbies to me I'm a animal lover, especially to the little grey cat that I saved from being returned to the feral community, and who is peeking his head over the back of my computer while I'm posting. And I guess in a nutshell, people that know me would say I'm a nice guy, look at the glass as half full. But that said I don't like or tolerate bullies, whether against people, or animals. RG

Question about anonymity?
roamingguy replied to backrubman's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
When I first embarked on this lifestyle I was of the belief that encounters were anonymous between the client and the lady. She doesn't know you, you don't know her. But as I learned through CERB, and from some of the ladies, divulging personal information through the verification process is required. And I have discovered that when you provide the verification information, especially if volunteered, goes a long way to establishing a trusting relationship. Really, you don't have anything to risk. The ladies are discrete. They have nothing to gain by disclosing your personal information. They just use that information as part of their screening process to help ensure their safety and security. After all, the first time you meet, it is alone together intimately in a room. So if a lady that interests you requests personal information, as long as not outside your comfort zone (mine is my work number isn't given) provide it. The lady only wants it for verification, not to turn your personal life upside down A rambling, hope it answers your question RG -
Does anyone accept credit cards?
roamingguy replied to Xander MD's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Exactly, I only use disposable income for this, no borrowing (even cc) to see a lady. If I don't have the money, I don't see a lady It's a simple way to do the credit card thing but cash still king. But for me, it's still disposable income I use. And I find it strange that you hear guys being worried about discretion, and not wanting to give away private personal information, but then look at using credit cards RG -

I'd do the same thing Loopie, although it hasn't happened to me. Very much pass each other as though you are strangers, because in day to day life, you are I would probably, through a pm or email or text at a private time just contact the lady to say hi and let her know I wasn't being rude. And as Meg says, don't expect her to initiate any greeting. The ladies respect the gentlemen's private life just as much as the gentlemen respect, or should respect the ladies' private life RG -
Angela My boat is pretty new (2 years old) and pretty comfortable for a fishing day for two My truck is pretty old (11-12 years old) but happily, after last check in to shop, has a few years left in her But a little 4 cylinder car, easy on gas, makes trips to work, and Toronto and Ottawa a lot cheaper, plus saves wear and tear on truck RG

This is why you are best to compartmentalize your life, and I hope this makes sense. My family is in one compartment My friends and people in my real hobby (fishing) are in another compartment My work is in another compartment The ladies (and ladies who are friends) in this lifestyle are in another compartment, and roamingguy is used for that compartment Of all the compartments in my life, the only one that stands alone, no overlap to any other compartment, are the ladies in this compartment. And I'm single, pretty safe to me to be outed...but as has already been posted, the ladies have lives outside this lifestyle, and don't need this part of their lives creeping into other parts of their lives RG -

Thanks for the input everyone. Just got my truck back from the shop, told it has a fair bit of life in it...that's the good news To buy another truck...and for the boat I have I need a full size V8 pick up or SUV, well I can't buy cash outright, even newer used...been pricing. Could put a fair downpayment, but not pay cash for the whole thing An older truck, yes, but I'm trading one older truck for another...doesn't make sense But I can buy a newer used car cash outright, maybe even one with some warranty on it. And I drive about 50km/day to work, major savings for me in gas with a car Think once our contract is settled, I'll be buying a car, something 4 cylinder Thanks again RG
