What are you watching on Netflix these days?
roamingguy replied to MelissaCarter's topic in Fun Threads
Well a few more over the past few days. With the anniversary of 9/11 over there have been a few shows (yes some preceded the anniversary) "World Trade Center" Oliver Stone movie starring Nicholas Cage. OK, not great especially the 2 dimensional portrayl of the Marine. Give it a 6/10...jmo "Worth" starring Michael Keaton. About compensating the victims of 9/11. This in Siskel and Ebert terms ππ(that's 2 thumbs up π) "Turning Point 9/11 And The War On Terror" Documentary about 9/11 and the US governments response to it. This is also well worth watching. Enough of 9/11...??? "The Wolf Of Wall Street" starring Leonardo Diario and Margot Robbie Entertaining but long...almost 3 hrs "Kate" about an assassin who's been poisoned with a few hours to live "The Good Liar" starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen. One (or is it both) is a liar and con artist. Good movie A few recommendations for your viewing well "pleasure" considering topics covered in some movies A Rambling RG -
Slow Cooker Day Again Today Swedish Meatballs. Nothing fancy or special here. A box of frozen Swedish meatballs, added a chopped Spanish onion and fresh mushrooms put in the Crock Pot. Added a tin of consume (beef broth would work) and 1/2 cup white wine (alcohol cooks off by dinner time...5pm) Seasoned with Basil, Rosemary and black pepper. Near dinner time mix in small container of sour cream and serve over hot buttered noodles. Just used a beef stroganoff recipe I saw, instead of using sliced steak I substituted frozen Swedish meatballs and used the Crock Pot mostly so the the alcohol in the wine cooks off. Living in Smalltown Ontario with no companionship available here I have to travel to Toronto normally, sometimes Ottawa or Kingston to see ladies. If I lived in the Maritimes, not just Nova Scotia but NS, NB and/or PEI I'd be hopping in my truck taking alot of trips to Halifax π It sounds like it's a wonderful city with many lovely companions. In fact there's a few listed here I'd like to meet if I had the opportunity. Just A Rambling From A Guy From Ontario Who'd Appreciate Halifax If I Lived There π RG π

Talking about long movies l o n g I say π "Once Upon A Time In America" is playing on Netflix about mobsters in New York...saw it yesterday Be warned almost 4 hours long so strap in. Stars Robert De Niro and James Woods (plus a few others π) and with time era jumps gets a little confusing at times...well did for me π π So I'll psych myself up to watch again...and that's . it π But worth watching...especially if you're a fan of gangster movies like Godfather 1-3, Goodfellas etc. A bug eyed π Netflix movie recommendation π rambling RG -

I'd see family (brother and his family) and friends I would also travel to Newfoundland (then I've been to every province in Canada in my life) While in Nfld I'd take a sidetrip to Halifax to visit (sort of) family...more obligatory than anything π After seeing Newfoundland I would go to the territories (Yukon, NWT and Nunavut) Then I've hit all of Canada in my lifetime Of course I can see a couple trips likely to Toronto (to visit the CN Tower of course π π) and follow those visits with recommendations ( I hope) on Lyla That's what off the top of my head I'd do A Rambling RG
