Almost 3hrs long though so strap in π Wrath Of Man new Jason Statham thriller...entertaining And five minutes of my life lost today...I gave AP Bio a look...by five minutes in I wanted to crack the broken chair over teacher's head π five minutes was too much guess what I didn't watch the remaining 2 seasons...DONT WATCH!!! Agree GT...Its sad to say but that is the face of politics...and why I'm a card carrying "political Agnostic"...its not a case of picking the best, it's a case of picking the least bad of three bad choices Still do my civic duty though. But I have no delusions RG

Got to thinking (I know...dangerous π ) after a thread in Twitter about your teenage years vs now (I'm very poorly paraphrasing the topic) and also day to day in the news talk of politics so my thread combining the two...how many remember the first time they voted be it federal, provincial or municipal politics. My first election, when I was 18 years old was when Joe Clark PC ran against Trudeau Liberal (that's Pierre Elliot Trudeau, not Justin π ) and Joe Who won a minority government. Flora MacDonald (Kingston and the Islands, riding where I lived at the time) won as MP and became External Affairs Minister. Anyhow that's the first of many elections I voted in. I did my civic duty although did it affect any change...I doubt it π π₯ π Does anyone remember and care to share their first time voting A nostalgic political rambling and likely dumb post...well thread of the day RG

Confirmation received in the mail today (snail mail not email π) from Service Canada. My CPP application received, processed and approved (its about time) and they confirmed my first cheque...well direct deposit π comes on July 28th. Better yet their estimate of my monthly payment earlier was a little low I'm going to get $80.00 more a month π This is all posted with the caveat that CPP had botched up my pension application already...my first cheque should have come in April. So fingers π€ and I'll 100% believe it when I see π it A Hopeful Rambling RG

Got my second shot of Pfizer on July 5. From everything I've read it takes two weeks for the vaccine to build up in your body so you're immune. Today is the two week mark so (touch wood) now I'm immune No more masks π ...JUST KIDDING EVERYONE. I'm still practicing masking, social distancing, hand washed etc. The vaccine just one more "weapon" in the coronavirus fight...not to mention I'm sick enough π€£ A Fully Vaccinated Rambling RG

Three and a Half hours of my life gone...I'll never get them back π²(and at my age...60 I can't afford to throw away my time now π€£) Watched Ghost Rider and Cosmic Sin...just horrible. For a quiet day recouping from my second shot...granted I'm only a little stiff and sore...I accomplished alot 1) Contacted insurance company. They're going to mail my certificate (my phone and printer don't talk to one another lol) 2) Called the doctor to let him know I'm vaccinated. 3) Updated my Medic Alert information (in light of receiving covid vaccine) and a new card being mailed. 4) On the phone with Canada Pension. Mind you I was waiting 1hr 5min 50 sec before anyone picked up. But after talking to someone found out (finally) my CPP application (2nd one) approved...1st cheque July 28 yay!!! A Rambling RG

Got my second shot yesterday...appointment bumped up from Aug 24 to July 5 π. Talked to one of the nurses about boosters and they didn't know if any needed but if they will be it'll likely be a year down the road and they recommend talking to your family physician. I also contacted my doctor today so my file is updated. Apparently not all doctors are getting notified by Ministry Of Health when their patients are vaccinated. Finally updated my Medic Alert and getting a new card mailed to me. A Rambling In The Day Of A Vaccinated Life Of A Lyla Member RG

Yesterday watched two movies First a western..."Gone Are The Days" give it (generously I might add π) 5 stars out of 10. Wasn't great but some may enjoy it Second "Up In The Air" plain and simple IMO it sucked βΉ 1 star out of 10 π Called a romantic comedy maybe romantic comedy saw no comedy and no romantic happy ever after. Again JMO Don't watch So right now I'm cheering myself up by watching (again) "Flags Of Our Fathers" π A Rambling RG -

With this heat my beer consumption up...usually it's one a day and I bought a six pack Saturday. It's Tuesday, the day is young (translation 5 beers in 3 days none today...yet π πΊ π ) which meant buying more beer...2 6 packs. That should last me till Friday π π» π At least I'll be hydrated A Rambling πΊ RG

I remember those days...absolutely non available in the town I live in. I did a little road trip, the pharmacy I deal with was making their own for sale. I bought one bottle and ordered a six pack on Amazon. Then a grocery store had bigger bottles for sale so I bought two. Now I got more than enough to last me till the day I die π At least I can say I'm sanitized π A Covid Flashback Memory Rambling RG π
