Having a light lunch, surfing Lyla and watching a show recorded on my PVR last night RG -
Well that's not a selling point for living till 140...at least for me (I'm single, family is mother, brother/his wife and nephew) I'd take living to 80 with all the funds I need I'd connect and reconnect with ladies who are special to me even more than I do now And partake in my hobby (fishing) even more than I do now And not one to travel, but a few spots in Canada I'd like to see Besides, there is a difference between being alive and living. At 85 my mother is alive, but she is no longer living. I'd hate to spend my last sixty years (assuming 140 years old) in the same condition my mother is now, alive, but not living RG

I would add just one thing. Don't go seeing a companion with the expectation that it will turn into a friendship. Just go into an encounter with the expectation that you are paying for companionship for a set period of time (ie an hour or two) If a friendship develops that is mutually beneficial and has mutual respect that is a bonus RG

When I began this lifestyle I certainly didn't expect that a true friendship could happen with a companion. It was after all at it's core a business relationship right. Well I have met a few ladies that I have connected with, and one very special lady, who has become a valued friend. Yes, at it's core, there is a business relationship. But friendship and business relationship, why are they mutually exclusive. Two other friends in my life, I met through work. Does that mean they aren't real friends...because we met through work? BTW we're all retired and stay in touch, at least once a week This lady is in fact one of four close (close defined as trusted without reservation) friends in my life. Friendships can develop in this lifestyle. Both the companion and client need to have their heads on straight emotionally. There has to be mutual respect and the relationship, both friendship and business wise must be mutually beneficial. Friendship is it's own reward, and boundaries still respected. The gentleman shouldn't expect "extras", and the lady shouldn't try to manipulate the man to get more money. I guess when I see this lady, I view it as a date with a friend, a friend who just happens to be a professional companion. Anyhow, a rambling. Hope it makes sense RG

Well that's the shortcoming and fault of the glamour world and tabloids Last I checked, I'm a real man, not the glamour world or tabloid and I like and am kind to real women :-) Just saying, that's all RG

I have seen ladies from their mid twenties to fifties The majority of ladies I see are in their thirties and forties For those ladies dialing back their real age because they think younger is better, and I'm speaking just for myself here, well any lady below mid twenties, and teenager (eighteen/nineteen) I'm not attracted to Not said condescendingly but I'm attracted to women, not girls Said from a fifty three, almost fifty four year old (emphasis old LOL) man RG

Reading and replying to emails, now surfing Lyla While watching James Bond Man With The Golden Gun (I know from the Roger Moore years...yuck LOL) RG -
I'd go with tv only because nowadays with tv and cable technology you can get good sound from your tv, and cable features music stations too Screening Do you prefer using one of those screening agencies (such as P411,Date Check etc) or Have the lady you want to see screen you by providing your personal information to her RG

Question concerning sex addicts in the industry.
roamingguy replied to Caged's topic in Health & Wellness
Don't worry, never thought it was an attack. First, the assumption about sex daily...I would say if (keep in mind its sort of devils advocate argument, I really have yet to be sold on sex addiction) one is a sex addict, then that man or woman needs his/her sex fix at a higher than average frequency than one not addicted. What that frequency is I don't know but I would imagine if one argues that there is sex addiction, the addict has sex once daily at least. If only occasionally he/she has sex, how is that different from your average man/woman To your second point, yes it is true that there are addicts who habit outpaces their finances. It is also true, more often than not, those addicts commit crimes to finance their habit. This I base btw on 29 working in LE More often than not drug addicts were incarcerated not because of the addiction itself but the crimes committed to finance their habit One question that has yet to be answered. If we are going to proceed under the argument that there is sex addiction, and that people in the industry need to be warned about the dangers of sex addiction then who is responsible for warning the companion about the dangers and who warns the client about the dangers. After all, if an addiction, I believe that you would see both companions and clients addicted. Wouldn't we all be further ahead, if we thought we had sex addiction, to take personal responsibility. And book an appointment with our doctor. He/she could refer us to an appropriate therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist. That seems a better choice to me than me (assuming I'm a sex addict) expecting an companion to warn me of the dangers of sex addiction. And vice versa, a sex addicted companion expecting her clients to warn her of the dangers of sex addiction RG -
Question concerning sex addicts in the industry.
roamingguy replied to Caged's topic in Health & Wellness
First I'm not entirely sold on sex addiction as a diagnosis to begin with But I never claimed to be an expert. That said, how do you differentiate bad behaviour from sex addiction. Example a cheating (hate using moralizing terms, no judgement intended when using them) spouse caught having an affair saying "dear, it's not my fault, I'm a sex addict" Or worse, what if a serial rapist said I couldn't help it, I'm a sex addict. But as for sex addicts in the industry. A client, unless rich couldn't afford daily encounters with companions Now a companion, how would one ever know. Whether she is a companion because an addict or because she chooses to do so as her livelihood And doesn't throwing the sex addiction label put everyone, companion and client as a victim...that none of us are here as consenting adults, but to get our "fix" Finally, how can we even get accurate numbers. There aren't accurate numbers of sex workers across Canada, nor clients, so how can anyone then start saying there are a lot of sex workers in the lifestyle When someone provides stats first of clients/companions, and then from that cites how many are sex addicts then a discussion based on facts can take place. My opinions I admit are not based on any statistical facts, just my beliefs. But even if a bona fide diagnosis it doesn't absolve a individual from personal responsibility. And I can think of greater social responsibilities, like finding housing for the homeless, feeding the poor etc RG -
Well first, wifey #2 and I need to consummate our marriage...(but after the Social she may take one look at me and say I want a divorce LOL) But after that, if wifey#2 and you want time to do a tag team henpecking of hubby # 1 that could be in our futures :-) The year is not over RG aka Hubby
