I used to fly for the airlines and my name is indicative of this.

I will travel across the country to see someone that interests me. I will combine the visit to th lady with a trip to somewhere I want to visit however. Being retired and being able to fly my own plane across the country helps in this regard.

Oh getting stood up by an SP happens. I've had it happen with a reputable SP. She was apparently taken ill and had to go to the hospital. No biggie. These things happen. I saw her again at a later date. I have also been a stander-upper. I was taken ill the night before an appointment and spent a week in hospital. Had no chance to contact the SP. Did not have a phone with me and could not access a computer while in a hospital bed with tubes and wires hooked up to me. She ultimately forgave me and I had a wonderful session with her at a later date.

How important? On a scale of 1-10, 11.

Just watched Skyfall. One of the best Bond movies ever.

Now that I'm no longer flying for an airline I'm not exposed anymore to passengers who complain about en-route detours around weather that make the flight late. I can't count how many times deplaning passengers have complained directly to me about the "extra long flight" when the detour has been for their comfort and/or safety.

Recently saw for the very first time "Inside Man" with Clive Owen and Denzel Washington. Excellent bank robbery movie. The twist at the end was totally unexpected.

At 24,000 feet with unlimited visibility crossing the Rockies in my airplane. With the exception of the occasional communication with Air Traffic Control it feels like I've escaped the day-to-day bustle of life and the scenery is spectacular.

Most memorable vacation was a week on Lord Howe Island in Australia. It was a last minute decision destination with a (sadly no longer here) lady. The snorkelling and diving and beaches and food and company were just fabulous. Been back several times. Vancouver Island is a favourite camping/touring destination of mine. The beauty of the island is stunning.

Currently with Bell for phone, internet, TV. Very happy with phone and internet and somewhat happy with TV. Bell TV HD channels are just 720p. Recently subscribed to Fibe 25/10 for internet. Bell techs in my area this week have been setting up Fibe TV service. Should be available in a month or two. It's apparently a fair bit cheaper than satellite and much better picture quality. A whole-home Fibe PVR is going to be free forever when subscribing to Five TV/internet/phone. Supposedly my internet service will degrade from 25/10 to 15/10 when TV is being consumed. I jumped from Rogers over a decade ago due to billing issues and the blatant lies the techs were telling me in response to my complaint of poor TV signal.

Just once while deadheading on a ferry flight many years ago. The two of us were the only people on the main level of the 747.

Just signed the papers on a new airplane. Delivery three months from now.

Crossing the Rockies at 18000 feet with autopilot on on a cloudless day with Vivaldi's Four Seasons playing on playing on the noise canceling headset and air traffic control keeping transmissions to a minimum.
