Not sure how much success you will have with your question... if a lady has chosen to misrepresent her age (btw not something unique to this industry) then it is doubtful that she would out herself here so that everyone knows she is doing so. Had a great beef tenderloin topped with BBQ spiced pulled pork served with Dauphenois Potato with parmesan, wild berry reduction and lemon scented vegetables... for desert Newfoundland chocolate trifle... this was all at a Gala Dinner and Auction for John and Jane Crosbie... to raise money for Hope Air and Salvation Army homelessness initiative. Great event that had Rex Murphy, Brian Tobin, Joe Clark, Maureen Mcteer and Jean Chretian as speakers and is expected to raise about $250,000 for two great causes. People are referring to apps like "text now" and many others that for free or a very minimal amount provide people with a virtual phone number so they can text with the app and the other person sees the virtual number instead of their actual cell phone number. Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk

The impression that you and others have left is that the use of an App is an indication of hiding something and not being open and being dishonest... i am saying that while it is true' someone could use an app to hide and be dishonest it is not fair to suggest that or leave the impression that all who do are being any less open... i suggest you look at the full package a lady presents and then make your own decision. I agree that the use of the app may make someone decide to not book but so could a huge number of other factors... I fail to see how it less honest or open than working names... ads with no face pictures.. when we are talking about cell numbers and emails it's not like you can look them up in a directory... the text app is as open or honest as a burner phone purchased in a bogus name and address... in my opinion it's a red herring... look at the companions overall presence and reputation...A lady using an app does not make her dishonest and it's kinda insulting to the many reputable ladies who do to suggest that it does. Some ladies don't advertise a number at all but do use an app for texting after the initial contact.. are they dishonest... they don't hide the fact they are using an app? In my opinion there are many elements that go into a lady's reputation and to lady a lady as shady because they use a texting app is a bit much. I appreciate that there are other alternatives they could use (2 phones or dual sim phones) but who am I to tell them what is best for them. I suggest that people look at the big picture associated with the lady... do they have a web site, their advertising, their presence on sites like this and social media... what are their recommendations like... are they well know in the industry??? As I suggested on another similar thread there are lots of reasons for a lady to be cautious about what info ie phone number or email address they put out to the world so I can accept the usage of an ap as long as I can verify the lady's reputation in other ways. While I respect every ladies right to choose their own approach and understand that some clients might choose to not book with a lady who uses an Ap I think it is wrong to suggest that just because a lady does she must be "shady". It's actually a perfectly level playing field... clients can use an App and yes that might mean that some ladies will not accept booking requests but likewise a lady can use an App and some clients will not book with them. That said let's be realistic... for the client your exposure is only to the ladies you choose to make your number available too... so you totally control who has access to your number... if you do your research and stick to booking established ladies or ladies that can be verified that risk can be effectively managed so it is minimal... of course if you are less cautious you might increase your risk the choice is yours. In the case of a lady she is putting her number or email out to the world... she does not control who gets it and runs a huge risk that the person will harass her or bully her or try to out her so it's kind of reasonable that some ladies would use an app that is a cheap and easy way to have a number that they can use publicly and when their is a problem quickly discard. In reality the lady has to do what she needs to do to protect herself and I am ok with that. Just my Opinion Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk
