How come we were so stupid to elect Stephen Harper more than once? WTF!!!

This whole process is even more galling when you consider that every poll of Canadians that I have seen has the Canadian public supporting legalization.... so to change the narrative you spin the minority position while making it look like it is an open consultation process... this is typical Stephen Harper stuff.... Just my opinion

I hope you did not think I glazed over the young lady... this to me is where the government should be using their resources to support underrated sex workers (whether by choice or pressure).i I my opinion someone who is 15 has not had the life experiences necessary to make this type if life choice. I know people will talk about the age of consent and the various cultural issues... all I can say is that my opinion is it is too young. Just my opinion.

I previously posted to this thread indicating that I was happily married and loved my wife but am active in the hobby. In my opinion there are probably as many reasons why happily married men see SP'S as there are men who do it. I'm sure there is the getting something sexually that you can't get at home and the marriage going through a rough spot but there is also medical reasons, and people looking for companionship that is not complicated by all the things that come with long term relationships. I think we love the idea that the person we love and choose to be with should fulfill all our needs when I gave come to learn that is a pretty foolish and simplistic way to think. There are and always be gaps in what we want and need from each other... these gaps shrink and expand as we go through our life based on what us happening. I know from personal experience that grief can have a huge impact.... but the gaps do not define the relationship the and caring for the other person do. Just my opinion.

Taking a short work break to check out what's happening in CERB world.

No sign of Spring here in NL.... Snow day yesterday so spent best part of the day working a snowblower. my highlight.... it's not snowing right now.

I fully understand the need for the confidentiality of Sex workers and clients to be protected in any "In Person" consultations that might be undertaken what I fail to understand is why no sex rights workers or so few if any sex workers or clients were aware of the consultation process. Due process and fairness would suggest that the Government should have put in place a process that would gave made the industry aware of the consultation and sought expressions of interest from parties interested in appearing. If you secretly hold a meeting that you either don't invite people to or you hand pick the representatives don't go expecting a great airing of the issues in the industry. Just my opinion

Just got home... sitting down to watch the Juno's

Although I am from NL I have only just seen this show for the 1st time in the last week or so and think it is ok. For anyone who has never been to newfoundland the scenic shots will give you a good picture of what our rural coastline is like. I had heard some push back on the crude language and accents but to be honest what did people expect. The fishing industry us a male dominated industry and it should be no surprise that a bunch of guys at sea might use some rough language. As for the accents.... really do people from NL have Accents. In my opinion the show is well done for what it is.

Having a slow relaxing Sunday afternoon... watching TV... surfing CERB... playing games on my phone and waiting for Supper.

I have good news for everyone..... finally we can relax... as you know NL is a half-hour ahead of the rest of Canada so in the event of a Zombie Invasion we will be able to provide you with at least a half hour to prepare your defenses. There is no need to thank us now.... it is really the least I can do :) lol

Wow...really interesting topic thanks for posting it. I used to think I was pretty open minded... always said... to each their own but more recently I think I have come to see that perhaps I was not as open minded as I thought... i still think to each their own but the reality of that is more that I have tended to really only be around people who were very similar to me... lol it easy to be open minded to people you agree with. Since becoming involved in this hobby I have met a number of people who have shown me what it is like to truly be open minded they are people who approach life with a willingness to accept anyone who accepts them. They are less likely to judge someone because of how they look or talk or because they have a different sexual orientation.... i have to tell you it was unexpected but very refreshing. As a result of my interaction with these individual I find my self interested in learning more about things I previously thought were in the margins and am willing to try things that I never would have before. Now that said... i would suggest that while I am way more open than I was... i think I am still probably a product of my upbringing....so lots of room yet to grow. Just my opinion
