  1. The invasion of smart phones into our lives is I think inevitable we have come to rely on them so much they are seldom out of our hands for long. When I am with a wonderful lady be that my wife or another companion I would hope that our phones take a huge back seat to the attention would be paying to each other however I understand that sometimes it's just not possible to ignore them all together. I have been with ladies who operate with two phones a work phone and a personal phone and have been aware that they have turned off the ringer on the work phone and used it for background music but kept their personal phone on because they have family obligations that require it... that has never bothered me in the least. I respect the need to available in case the school calls or for emergencies and understand that they have lives outside of work. Ladies using their phone or checking texts during a booking has for me anyway never really been a problem because I have always found them to be very respectful of my time. That might just reflect the luck I have had to be with some exceptional people over the years. Just my Opinion
  2. I am not from Halifax but over the years have visited there fairly often. When it comes to meeting a lady in this lifestyle when I am traveling then I do tend to be somewhat concerned about the location of her incall. Generally I prefer downtown locations or well established areas especially when I was seeing someone for the first time. When I have previously met the lady or she is well established then I am generally pretty comfortable with relying on her to ensure that the location is appropriate. I would definitely agree that it is often the gentleman's loss when he is too restrictive in where he will go to meet a lady but you know that's his prerogative. On a few visits I have gone off the beaten track in Halifax to meet a lady and am very very happy that I did. Just my Opinion
  3. I don't know if it's too early or too late to be talking about the censorship rules but what I do know is that the application of these rules and the concern for bill C36 has had an unintended dramatic impact on this site both in terms of reduced participation and interaction of members and the general lack of discussion topics here on the site. We have seen many previously very active and engaged reputable members either just stop being involved or drastically revising their engagement because of the fear of breaching a rule and being suspended or banned so now they limit their interaction to posts in the escort or massage schedule threads and frankly we have lost a number of very reputable ladies to rule infractions that have resulted in them being suspended or banned.... in my opinion these unintended outcomes are a real concern for the site. Let's face it people come to this site because of sex and frankly to use the forum for clients and workers in the sex industry to connect... the new reality is that discussion of sex can get you in trouble with the rules and that is impacting participation by members. Just my Opinion
  4. I guess I am old enough to remember a time when very few ladies completely shaved so I am totally ok with either approach... what ever works for the woman works for me... I will say that you idea of growing it out for a month does make me think about an idea that I have always thought about but not yet done...actually shave a lady... maybe some ladies might offer a month end special where one lucky guy gets to come in and shave them hmmmmm On a side note I know that when I grow my mustache I find I am constantly running my tongue across the hair... I am hoping that same option is available if women decide to not shave this month ;) lol
  5. I think your on the right track... for me the gifts I appreciate I appreciate the most is the gift that clearly shows the connection between me and the person who gave it to me so if my children or SO want to get me something then if it involves them spending time with me doing things we enjoy then that is perfect. Over the years I have had some pretty wonderful gifts given to me that clearly showed that the gift giver knew me well... One was a unique picture of my family done in a significant way with a letter that explained it... just a wonderful give the second was a "star chart" of the night sky which when I first opened it I was kind of perplexed about until I realized it was the gift of having a star named after a member of my family who is not with me any more... these are the kinds of gifts that require someone to know what's important to you and to go out of they way to make that connection in the gift that they give.. Just my opinion
  6. Are you referring to Cleo Catra.... if so yes she is retired as far as I know.
  7. In the hope that Grass_Hopper will turn up in St. John's to help me remove them... my underwear is red briefs today. :)
  8. I certainly can't speak about most markets in Canada but what I have noticed in the last few years in St. John's is a dramatic increase in the number of visiting ladies... we always seemed to have a small regular group of very reputable ladies who would tour here and most still do and I think they generally do ok here but in my opinion there seems to be a lot more BP ads for visiting ladies with no website or presence on boards like this who appear and generally advertise for significantly lower rates than most of the well known ladies. In my experience this lower rate is not really a lower rate as the reality is that the service level is dramatically lower and everything is an extra charge once you are in the room. More recently I have seen lots of BP ads offering special rates of $80 or $100 and while I certainly love to save some money I don't see this as a good thing as it dramatically impacts the business of the extremely reputable ladies especially the wonderful local ladies here who are LYLA members. Now don't get me wrong I appreciate and respect the right of each and every lady to set her own rates so I am not saying there is something wrong with all these "new" people in the market just emphasizing that it is having an impact and making things slow for some wonderful ladies who live or visit here. I would also bet that some of the ladies who have worked in St. John's for many years would tell me that they have seen this before and that it is cylindrical business with lots of its ups and downs and no doubt they are right... but if you rely on the revenue and it's down I am pretty sure it still is difficult especially if moving on to a better market for a while is not an option. Just my Opinion
  9. Getting ready to head to the office and catching up on all the LYLA posts and emails...
  10. As I said before ladies select their clients for a lot of reasons but is that not also very similar to what us gentlemen do... we don't bring up BP and call the first lady that appears on the list... we check the lady out to see if she meets our requirements... are we looking for a BBW or a spinner or an Asian lady.... perhaps a lady with an amazing ass or a tall lady or a short lady... we CHOOSE who we wish to spend our time with based on our own specific criteria... so I wonder are we choosing or are we discriminating... or are you suggesting that the ladies in this lifestyle should not be allowed to choose who they spend time with just the clients. Just my Opinion
  11. Discrimination is a very harsh word... There are endless threads on here discussing the reasons why a lady might choose to restrict who she sees with the ugly connotations of discrimination being just one. My experience in this industry is that I have been struck by just how open to diversity this community is... it has amazed me. I have been active in this lifestyle for quite a few years and frankly when I have cold called a lady from her ad I don't think I can recall a lady specifically asking my age....so I am left to wonder if you are experiencing 50% or more who are concerned with age if it is your approach that raises the concern more then the specific age? Just my Opinion
  12. Its not illegal to pay a lady to spend time with you And I doubt that LE actually discussed any services.... but I agree if they booked a ladies time which is legalthey should pay... I doubt they did.
  13. Note to self... if I ever have the opportunity to provide capitalCforcougar a full body massage be certain to ensure it is FULL BODY... and I guess watch for appropriate ques to any parts requiring additional or repeat attention. :)
  14. Police in St. John's recently did a similar outreach project booking appointments with ladies who arrive to be met by police officers who ask lots of questions and offer assistance... no big issues except wasted time for the lady.
  15. Happy Birthday Halifaxman58 I hope you had a great day
  16. Happy Birthday Pete... I hope you had a great day.
  17. Neither of those options would work for me... those who have met me know I like lots of small talk and lots of foreplay... So of the two options presented I will have to go with lots of small talk... (it's already pretty obvious I can't actually shut up) Thanksgiving or Christmas?
  18. Happy Birthday Birdboy I hope you had a great day.
  19. She replies to your first message... says what hotel she is at.. and yet not a single post by anyone saying they have enjoyed her company... so what does that tell us... It tells me time to move on.
  20. It was an older movie but still good.. Sex, Lies and Video tape

  22. Red briefs today... but frankly it's late and they are about to go.
  23. Tonight I had a great meal of fresh Cod... it was amazing.
  24. The Conservatives just got their ass handed to them on a platter so if the government acted fast to repeal or amend the current law I think it would be extremely doubtful that the conservative senators would be willing to challenge the authority of a newly elected house of parliament over a prostitution law... maybe over a financial issue but not this law as there is no upside for them and let's face it the Senate wants to protect themselves. The problem as I see it is that it does not seem likely to me that this will be a high priority item for the new government... I hope it is but I am doubtful. Just m Opinion
  25. Health Canada last year said the following about who should get a Flu shot... "Recent literature reviews conducted by NACI have shown that healthy individuals aged 5 to 64 years benefit from influenza vaccination, in addition to the people for whom the vaccine has been indicated in the past. With evidence showing that influenza vaccine benefits people of all ages, NACI now recommends influenza vaccination for all individuals aged 6 months and older, with particular focus on people at high risk of influenza-related complications or hospitalization, people capable of transmitting influenza to those at high risk, and others as indicated in Table 5 (see section V.2 for details)." http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/naci-ccni/flu-grippe-eng.php
