Great post Bridgette... Just to emphasis your point... As noted in another thread on this site I was in Ottawa a few weeks ago and while my normal club would be Barb's (which I did visit) I was compelled head out to Playmates to see Raven Rain who I had chatted with on here. I had not been to playmates in number of years and it is sort of out of the way... well I got there had number of dances from several ladies and enjoyed myself... when I was ready to leave I realized I was missing my Wallet... I knew I had it when I got there as I used the bank machine but now it was gone and my first thought was F*** there can't be a worse place to lose a wallet... I retraced my steps in the bar...lol... checked several of the champagne room booths... spoke to the staff and dancers but ultimately left thinking cancel everything cause there was someone out there already trying to use the cards and id's... well guess what skip ahead a few days... I am home in St. John's and guess what arrives in the mail to me... my wallet with all its contents... yes I had already cancelled everything of course but getting it returned kinda reinforces my faith in the general goodness of people and certainly shows that we should not judge a book by its cover... lol.... we can be perverts at the strip club and still be good people. Just my Opinion

Well all I Can tell you is I was in Ottawa a couple weeks ago and went to Barb's and Playmate and did not notice any significant difference from when I used to go there regularly about 10 years ago...so I enjoyed my visits.

I think the OP was looking for information on a lady named Misty who is advertising on Backpage (BP) here in St. John's. There is not a lot of replies so that generally means that either the lady has not been seen by a LYLA Member who wants to comment or that no comment is being made because our rules don't allow for negative reviews. For me personally I have never met the lady so can't comment one way or the other.

Th last year for me personally has been kind of rough but I have to admit that at about this time ever year I start looking forward with anticipation to the Holiday season... for some reason it for me can make the worst of times seem better to just spend time with people you love and care about and to have a reason to reach out to others and share some good cheer... No I hear what you are saying... my tongue in cheek post was not directed at your comments more just a reflection that while I am delighted to see Harper gone I don't hold a great deal of Hope that the Liberals will be much better in the long run. I am old enough to remember the government's of Paul Martin, John Chretien, John Turner and The 1st Mr Trudeau and frankly they are not all great memories... I expect that it will not be long before we will be complaining about this government too. Political leadership is not easy.

The hopes and the dreams of a nation yearning for change coalesced into a massive wave of red bringing Justin Trudeau to the Prime Minister's Office.... we set lofty goals for him and had great expectations but here we are 12 hours into his leadership of this great country and what has he done... where is this change we so deeply yearned for... You are correct... what I was suggesting was that I don't think the new government will use political capital on this issue so there is little chance they will move to replace t law. If however the tone set by the justice department is that it is not encouraging enforcement except in the cases of trafficking then this would have some impact on law enforcement agencies. For the most part the enforcement of this law will be determined by provincial and municipal police forces but the law is a federal law ... Bottom line for me is we will have this law till it is challenged. Just my Opinion

It could be a combination of all of the above... lol While I am not from Ottawa I have visited many many times and I think it's fair to say that Ottawa is a fairly transient city with lots of people traveling through thereby creating what i think is a good market for this industry. Of course one, of the reasons Lyla is busy is that the larger cities (Montreal, toronto and Vancouver have there own similar yet perhaps rougher boards like LYLA (MERB, TERB, and PERB). Bottom line... Ottawa certainly is lucky to have so many wonderful ladies who are from Ottawa or tour there frequently. Just my Opinion

In my experience a day of meeting confirmation contact (phone / Text /email) would be the norm in this industry... don't think I would every leave to go to a booking unless I had that confirmation and I would expect that the majority of reputable ladies would include a requirement for that as part of their booking protocol. That said I can certainly appreciate how much it sucks to get all dressed up and have no place to go. Hope things go better next time. Just my Opinion

Thanks for the post... I will certainly have a look at the report before commenting too much but will say that based on the small quotes you provided the only concern I had was that the sex workers in question do not seem to be included... it would be nice to see their input.

Well I don't know Ashley and she might be a wonderful lady but I think if you are looking for a higher level of assurance that the lady you will meet is reputable then I would suggest you have a look around here on LYLA... check the Ottawa Area of the board and choose one of the amazing ladies from here who it is extremely easy to verify they are top notch. You are fortunate as I think Ottawa has more amazing Lyla ladies then probably any other area in the country. That said there are lots of wonderful ladies who are not yet (or no longer) Lyla members who advertise in venues like BP... when there is less information it does not mean it will be a bad encounter just some additional risk... sometimes I risk worth taking...so if you take the opportunity to see Ashley and it i good... come back and write a review and of course suggest to her that she become a member. Just my Opinion
