  4. Hell we tried that one Flyer!!! That was between the cheezies and the tuna casserole!
  5. It truly is amazing though... 40 years after they broke up, most people who speak English can still name more than 5 of their songs and many of us can still sing along with most of them....
  6. I think I figured it out!!!!!!!!! This is Nun of the Above...
  7. To put it in perspective.... 8. A friend just posted this.... "Look at your status, now back to mine, now back to yours, now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped posting other things and made this your status, yours could be like mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? You're on Facebook, reading the status your status could be like. I'm on a computer."
  9. Hell Scottie.... with my new commitment to Fat Bastards, my income has decreased significantly. I used to get $1000 an hour and now it's down to $20. Hmmmm... I wonder if OC transpo goes beyond Kanata or Orleans?
  10. As long as they also have a Bay City Rollers Tribute Band, I am in!!!!!!!
  11. This is a tough one... it changes history to "what if story"... Imagine that you could go back and make Hitler's dad pull out instead of completing the conception of little Adolph. Now fast forward 53 years. Instead of Adolph, there could have been another guy that is equally megalomaniacal but actually likes the Jews. You then have a World War Two Germany with one of the most incredible armed forces ever seen AND the ability to produce atomic weapons.... sometimes changing the smallest thing has huge implications. All that being said, if I could go back for 12 hours.... I think I would go back about 25 years and have a fantastic day with my grandfather... and let him know just how amazing he was... how much he meant to me. He has been gone for 15 years and I still don't go a day without thinking about him.
  12. Hmmmm.... muffin top. Do they make anything that could rid of an industrial sized bag of flour???
  13. Enjoy the day... there's a party in your honour tonight!
  14. Oh my misspent youth.... alas a lot of the really fun stuff has been accomplished!!!! but there is ALWAYS more.... 1. Win the lotto. When the boss comes over with work, politely stand up, turn off your computer and say, "No thank you. I am leaving for lunch now. I will be back, ummmmm, never." 2. With the lottery win, finance and produce GOOD movies. 3. Write a great novel or 7 and be published. 4. Have a wonderful 30some. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 5. Buy that place in Scotland and raise big hairy cows. 6. Get in the car and drive until I stop, taking roads that I have never taken and with no destination in mind. Repeat daily until I want to come home again. 7. Produce the coolest documentaries, ever. 8. Learn classical guitar. 9. Live everyday to the fullest!
  15. Ahhh Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods!!! "Billy don't be a hero" was also done by Paper Lace who also did.... "The Night Chicago Died." I could follow that with Pilot doing "Magic"... Jigsaw doing "Sky High"... Major Hooples Boarding House doing "I'm Running After you"... Pablo Cruise doing "Love Will Find a Way"... and Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds doing "Don't Pull your Love"... I was waffling between the Pacer and the Gremlin....
  16. a few more factoids.... at 18 I was contracted to work as a roadie for Led Zeppelin on their "Coda" tour... then John Bonham died and the tour was cancelled. So much for the dreams of a young man craving rock n' roll groupie castoffs.... I paid for my second year in university with poker winnings. I lasted 121 minutes in the century club before my bladder gave out. (for those unaware, the century club required you to consume 1 oz of beer, once a minute for 100 minutes without leaving the table.) I can still play "Claire de la Lune" on a recorder, other than that I have absolutely no musical talent. At the age of 4, I ran down a hill and tripped on a hidden, abandoned rabbit hole. I should say it was abandoned by rabbits. A voracious, evil satanic cult of yellowjackets had occupied it. I was stung 17 times in quick succession. If I had stayed home and watched "LiveAid" in July 1985, my life would have been a different story. Instead I got married that day. I really wish I had seen that concert. When my then three year old daughter asked me about the meaning of Easter, I gave her the historical story of crucifixion and resurrection (but in a cute kind of Sesame Street sort of way.) Her reply, "Jesus??? You mean Chuck E. Jesus??? Where a kid can be a kid??" Needless to say, we weren't a very religious family. more to come....
  17. Favourite movies??? Wow.... Foreign: Malena, Amelie, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Leon: The Professional, Talk to Her, Bread and Tulips, Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Legend of 1900, City of God, Comedies: Anything by Kevin Smith (Clerks I & II, Mallrats, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Zack & Miri Make a Porno), Stepbrothers, the Ghost and Mr Chicken, Death at a Funeral (the original not the new one), any and all of the Monty Pythons (Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Meaning of Life, And Now for Something Completely Different...), most Coen Bros... it isn`t really comedy but it is quirky, Harold & Kumar, The Party (Birdy Num Nums), Shaun of the Dead.....
