A rose by any other name.... frankly it is semantics. I think that the "performance" over the last number of years has evolved to being less "dance" and more a combination of gymnastics, titillation, and evocative movement rather than "dance" per se.... and that being said, it is not to denigrate what is being done on stage. In the pioneer days when I first went to strip clubs, there were always three dances, the first a "real" dance, the second a dance and peel and the third was the rug show (both literally and figuratively, it was the 70's!!) As to the original point... the schedule can be a nightmare. With so many clubs and so many shifts, someone may do the minimum at one club because of the client/performer ratio and move to another club on the same day to see if they can make their goal.

41. GPS would be more fun if the messages were more erratic and then the directions more frantic. 42. Do you ever wonder if Bruce Springsteen would have been as popular if his name was Irwin Springsteen? 43. The only thing better than saying the word "nipples" are nipples themselves. 44. I never understood why the term "MotherF&*ker" was bad. Isn't that just another word for "dad"?

Celebrity look-a-likes
Old Dog replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Jim... when I first read this I thought you said that the first SP you visited looked like Weird Al... if that was the case I wouldn't have blamed you for walking away scared. -
You know Meg if number 39 applied I wouldn't know whether to be digusted or honoured??? heheheh

34. Why are the sink counters in public restrooms at crotch height? 35. If I am a regular at strip clubs and love to see the dancers, can I pad my obituary with "patron of the arts?" 36. I went to the public library and picked up a book. Suddenly I had a horrible vision of a big hairy guy reading in his bathroom. I think that's why bookstores are so popular. 37. If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to see it, does it get up quickly and tell all the other trees that it was all part of the act? 38. I just watched the Stars Wars series. I am baffled by the fact that the Empire equipped their forces with all the coolest uniforms, the greatest ships, the best weapons and not a single one of them ever learned to fire a weapon with any accuracy. 39. Do atheists get disgusted when they hear their partners say, "Oh God" during an orgasm? 40. Who do hermits think of when they masturbate?

Spike... you and I both remember when hockey used to have the cup final in April and May... I too am "hockeyed" out. It was nice to see some of the old guys around at the arena during the series.... Bobby Hull was rather emotional last night and it was heart warming to see him with tears of joy in his eyes when the 49 year curse was lifted. A well deserved victory!

I have seen a few of these lists floating around... but this one is quite new and clever... heard a good one??? add it to the list! 1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die. 2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong. 3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. 4. There is great need for a sarcasm font. 5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet? 6. Was learning cursive really necessary? 7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood. 8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died. 9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired. 10. Bad decisions make good stories. 11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day. 12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again. 13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to. 14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this - ever. 15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away? 16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste. 17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call. 18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well. 19. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay. 21. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it. 22. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in. 23. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text. 24. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger. 25. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said? 26. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent an A-hole from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters! 27. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever. 28. Is it just me or do high school kids get dumber & dumber every year? 29. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far. 30. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists. 31. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is. 32. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about .6 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

Do you keep in touch?
Old Dog replied to Mister T's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Stripclubs & Dancers
As I mentioned in the other thread, I don't mind texts or emails; my circumstances at the present time allow me that freedom. That being said, I had a wonderful message on my blackberry today from my fave dancer... she missed me! Nothing breaks up a horrible Wednesday afternoon better than a friend letting you know that you are on their mind....ummm.... okay a friend that gets naked and rubs herself against you while letting you know that you are on her mind is better, but since they are one and the same it is a moot point! -
Cute video of dog and baby playing together
Old Dog replied to Carrie Moon's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
That was wonderful Carrie... much better than the "other" dog and baby story coming out of Quebec today. -
Yes ma'am... permission is implicit in my case unless otherwise stated. There is an old business adage, "Out of sight, out of mind." An innocent text may serve several purposes. She may indeed be contacting me wanting genuinely to find out how I am or what my plans are for the summer BUT in a far more subtle way she is saying, "remember me." On one level she is expressing innocent concerns and the stuff of friendship, but subliminally she is reminding me of the wonderful times we shared. Either way, I appreciate the contact. I can tell you that I have had far more graphic and awkward texts from ex GFs than I have ever had from an SP.

I think you are right Pete... either Cato has his computer set up with a "HOT PIC ALERT" siren... or he has SP ESP ... he just knows when something needs glorification. He may be like the guy behind the curtain in the "Wizard of Oz"... the great, the powerful, the all seeing CATO.... ohhhhh, we are not worthy. heheheheheheeh
-
Etasman... that is exactly what I wanted to say, except you said it more eloquently. Damn you!!!!! heheheheheheheh :)

Cato, my friend, let it be said that no grass will ever grow under your feet. Selena's pic was on for maybe 14 seconds before you posted it??? And they call me an old dog....

Now there is a caveat here... my situation allows me to be texted, emailed, phoned or messaged. Over the last couple of days I have had a couple of texts from an old reg and the current reg... and it was much as Annessa described, a "Hi, just wanted to see how you were doing.... yadda yadda yadda." I was happy to see the texts, but again it wasn't an outright plug. In my situation it was like a friend contacting a friend... and I know that it was also a subtle "I still think of you, do you want to get together," BUT... the texts were innocent enough to be discounted were they discovered by an SO. Given that I am currently unencumbered by an SO, the texts really brightened my day. That's the converse view. It wasn't a blatant "Go to the ATM, get my fee and come over," it was as has been said, "Hi, how are you doing... miss you!" So, I guess the bottom line is, if you are aware of the audience and have the confidence that it is okay, texting is fine... at least for some!

Playing the field vs. Repeating with an SP
Old Dog replied to Jim.Bean's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It's quite simple. In a great many "SO" situations, intimacy is used as leverage. When you have a regular SP, that intimacy is the purpose of the relationship. There is no peripheral baggage associated. I pay a set non-negotiable fee and in return I have a wonderful sensual time. There is an emotional bond, but it is of the nature that friends share... we enjoy each others company. I know what she likes, she knows what I like and when we are finished, we hug and kiss and say, "until we meet again." -

What's everyone reading these days?
Old Dog replied to VedaSloan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
For me, the question is what aren't you reading. I probably have about 9 books on the go right now, dependent on the mood. On my coffee table now is "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" ... the third in the Lisbeth Salander/Millenium series... Stieg Larsson Paradise Lost by Giles Milton - concerning the destruction of Smyrna in 1922... Generation X - Douglas Coupland If you are looking for a great summer read by a Canadian author... Try Alan Bradley's "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie" followed by "The Weed that Strings the Hangman's Bag"... both light and fun... like many of us that have read and secretly enjoyed the Harry Potters, Bradley introduces us to Flavia de Luce, a wonderfully precocious 11 year old girl with a passion for chemistry, crime solving and torturing her elder sisters. I know it sounds infantile, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! -

Meg I knew that!!!! It is a fantastic tale and an even better dish. In Ottawa, one of the best I have tried is at Tosca's (O'Connor between Laurier and Gloucester) ... so tasty and relatively good for you (if you can discount the pasta and the olive oil!!!) -
Playing the field vs. Repeating with an SP
Old Dog replied to Jim.Bean's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Ohhhh, I am a repeater. For many of the same reasons as mentioned above, I love the feeling of comfort and confidence you have with someone that you know. When it's a mutually wonderful experience, the kisses become more passionate, the play becomes more adventurous and the intimacy is far more sensual. I think too (at least for me) that when you maintain that relationship, that excitement you have is channeled away from nervousness and into something more tangible. You actually get to enjoy your time together on far more than just a physical level. Variety is the spice of life... but there is no place like home. Balance that and you can't lose! -
I am soooo glad we put that to rest Cindy!!!! Cuz I would feel really awkward in staring at your picture and feeling the way I do if you were a man!!!!! Hair colour??? I used to have a blondes only policy. It always caught my eye when I was younger... and historically, my checkered relationship trail is full of fallen blondes. Now it isn't as much about colour as it is texture and suitability. My hands are drawn to hair like a magnet to steel... I have to be with someone that has amazing "playable" hair. So dye it whatever you want... just leave it soft, silky and wonderful and I will be on it like a fat kid on a smartie!

Happy International Whores Day

Spaghetti alla puttanesca (Italian: literally, "whore's spaghetti") is a spicy, tangy, somewhat salty Italian pasta dish that culinary experts regard as modern. The ingredients are typical of Mediterranean cuisine. Ingredients 8 ounces dried vermicelli 1 tablespoon olive oil 3 cloves garlic, pressed or minced 1 can (2 oz.) anchovies, drained and minced 1 1/2 pounds Roma tomatoes, cored and cut into 1/2-inch cubes 1 can (2 1/4 oz.) sliced ripe olives, drained 3 tablespoons drained capers 3/4 to 1 teaspoon hot chili flakes (optional) Grated parmesan cheese Salt and pepper Preparation 1. In a 5- to 6-quart pan over high heat, cook vermicelli in about 3 quarts boiling water just until barely tender to bite, about 7 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, in a 10- to 12-inch frying pan, combine oil and garlic. Stir over medium-high heat until garlic is soft but not brown, about 1 minute. Mix in anchovies. 3. Turn heat to high. Add tomatoes, olives, capers, and hot chili flakes to pan and stir until tomatoes are hot, about 3 minutes. 4. Drain pasta and pour into a large bowl. Spoon tomato sauce over pasta and mix. Add cheese, salt, and pepper to taste. It is a delicious dish... easy to make... and infinitely variable. I add chopped onions to mine, throw them in with the garlic to start it off! -

Handjob Sales Tax?
Old Dog replied to Carrie Moon's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Yup... Homer is being taxed... but consider the whole big story. Homer is being taxed, but so are ham sandwiches. Ham, as we know comes from a pig. A pig also produces bacon... and we all know that bacon is God's greatest gift to humankind, ever. So your association with Homer makes you closer to God, you are kinda like a modern messiah... sorta. Consider other similarities. You like SPs. The last messiah also liked an SP. Coincidence??? Nooooo. You call yourself Antlerman. Break down the word. Antler. Hmm. What has antlers? Why yes, yes you are right, reindeer. And who do the reindeer hang out with?? That's right, Santa. And when does Santa come around?? That's right, on the day we celebrate the messiah's birthday. Another coincidence??? We think not. Now the man part... well we know that some of us "men" consider ourselves God's gift. Who are we to argue??? Another messiah coincidence... can't be. Noooooo. So Homer being taxed?? It's all good.
