I am with the rest of the guys on this one... find a pleasant spin and let them know. It's bad enough waiting for your chance, but it's even worse when you have no idea that chance will never come again. I wouldn't necessarily sugar coat it... but a pleasant and professional "I think our time has run its natural course and I think it best that we not see each other," will suffice. Who knows, it might be better for both of you!

Tips on choosing a divorce lawyer
Old Dog replied to ulixestrojan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
No lawyers here in Ottawa that I know... someone else will have to help with that. Just remember... be fair... not just to the future ex, but to yourself as well. So many of us will do ANYTHING to get out of a toxic relationship, much of the time to our own detriment. Step back, assess and then make a decision. Best of luck. -
Regardless of Wednesday's outcome... the Habs have done their best to make us all believe....

Adam Electronics Ltd Phone: (613) 749-3030 456 Av Mcarthur, Ottawa ON K1K 4B5 He said he would love to work on older stuff... he was salivating when I told him that I had a 1949 Philco Porthole TV for him to get working again....

This is not fair... I make up my mind for the first, and then the second, and then a third comes into mind and I change the order, but then a fourth comes up and I have to mix it up cuz now I am thinking of two duos... and then I think hell, why just a duo, why not a menage a cinq???? But Nooooooo.... eleven more come to mind ... and I know that I will need a bigger suite and frankly I don't think I could handle 15 beautiful women at one time. Soooo, I decide that I should invite another guy for another room (cuz I really don't wanna see his stuff) ... but who to choose... and while that is all happening I think of seventeen more women to invite. So now we have 16 duos, me and another naked guy in the other room. I can't decide. Thank goodness you guys and gals are here to help.

Cato.... gotta agree on the tan lines... of course, I do like bums without tan lines too.

Had my choice on an upgrade a few months ago... chose a 240Mhz refresh rate on a 55" LCD. It is so crisp it makes old movies look like live TV. Keep an eye on the super slim LEDs as well... they practically hug the wall and the picture is amazing. Just a couple of suggestions...

Treats and gifts for an SP on the first visit
Old Dog replied to RobX's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
So essentially what you are saying is that I no longer need to train those parrots to sing "Love to love you baby"... I thought that they would be unique and appreciated as gifts. I guess I will cancel the order for the breeding dolphins as well..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1ArZEFwRsY Additional Comments: one more thing... they dance on the perch just like in the video.... -
Having just got off the phone with mine, I would like to extend the same warmth, love and compassion that I give to my own to all of you and yours. Like Soleil and Piper said... we don't really need a day to appreciate all that they have done for us... but it is nice to have a day dedicated to those moms who can no longer be with us physically, but will always remain in spirit.

I am shocked... there was no mention of "cat" related incidents. I know I was not the first, nor will I be the last to be interrupted in the throes of passion by a curious kitty taking a swipe at a couple of dangling... ummm... well you get the picture.

CERB - most accepting community around?
Old Dog replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have been a member on a great many boards, many of them totally unrelated to the community established here. Typically they are established with the best of intentions but in the end fail because of a number of members who feel it is in their own best interest to demean all others to inflate their own sense of self importance. The difference with CERB? We have, whether we will readily admit it or not, a number of online AMBASSADORS that will address any and all issues with a sense of dignity, interest and humour. I am not just speaking of the MOD here (but kudos to the MOD for maintaining peace.) There are members that weigh in on issues daily. You may not completely agree with what is said, but you know merely by their presence that a concern/issue/topic will be addressed. There are people here that I adore, even though we have never met. Whether it is through a thoughtful comment on a board or a meaningful PM, you grow fond of some of the characters here. It is a caring community. One last thing... can someone throw a bucket of cold water on Mikeyboy??? This group hug is good, but I think he is humping my leg... -
Happy Birthday Evacharms

Happpppppppppppy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!! xo -
A couple of things that need to be noted. First and foremost, text cannot convey emotion. So one person in receipt of an email stating "He is mad" can't tell whether the person is angry, insane or just a little kooky. Choose words wisely. Calculate the audience. Oh yeah. Never use the F bomb on the workplace server. They tend to frown upon emotion.

Okay... I have conferred with my male friends, and we have decided we can still be very straight and still have a man crush on Halak.

Does language matters?
Old Dog replied to Royalfun's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Whether it matters??? Meh. I wouldn't specifically choose one experience over another based solely on linguistic ability. That's not to say that some languages and some accents aren't incredible to hear and could potentially add to the whole sensory experience. The sound of the voice, whether in English, French, Italian, Spanish or whatever is probably more important. I dated a couple of English (UK) girls a few years back (separately, not simultaneously) and the lilt of their accent sent shivers up my spine. An Italian ex whispering "ti amo" was almost a showstopper... but I digress... she could have whispered "your pasta is al dente" and I still would have near exploded. -
Good for you hun!!! And if you think about it, if you put your scraps in the "unacceptable" biodegradable bag and trash it, you know that it will break down and become worm food anyhow... so no harm no foul.

Ladies - why not London?
Old Dog replied to ArmitageShanks's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Armitage... Love this town. It does get cold from time to time but have you seen what we have to keep us warm??? OUTSTANDING. Another thing about London... believe me I love that city, but as far as any other metropolitan area it is an island in the middle of farm country. KW at least has the GTA/Hamilton within 30-45 minutes; London is a big league drive from the next big city. I may live in the capital... but I am a southwestern Ontario boy at heart... -
