1000 Awesome things (CERB version)
Old Dog posted a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
A new book came out about a month ago called the Book of Awesome. It is the natural extension of a blogger's project to list 1000 awesome things... not stuff like the Sistine Chapel ceiling (which I must admit is awesome) or the Grand Canyon (also awesome.) He started the blog and book when things were going downhill in his life and needed to see simple things that made him smile. This list has stuff like "popping bubble wrap," "the cold side of the pillow," "the smell of air in a bakery." Simple stuff that makes you smile... sooooo... let's try this out.... Here goes: 1. The feel of twirling soft hair between my fingers 2. A seductive whisper 3. A kiss with a sweet aftertaste. 4. A unexpected smile from a stranger. 5. Something so funny it makes you pee (just a little bit) 6. A steak cooked to perfection. 7. A great hair day 8. The first time she says, "I love you." (that was sappy but how can you argue with it?) 9. An ice cold beer on a hot day 10. An obscure song that just takes you back to that perfect day. your turn!!!!- 90 replies

Gotta LOVE the overnighter. There is nothing better than waking up next to a sleepy little face with a smile. No clock watching, no rushing... that IMHO is heaven.

Old Dog replied to Antoine's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Maybe the guys just wanted to see if the whole boobquake thing would work! Let's face it, the only thing better than boobs is jiggling boobs! -
Conversation During Appointments
Old Dog replied to Andee's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
For me, the difference between a single visit and becoming a regular is conversation. It's that simple. Talk to me, make me laugh, make me comfortable and I am yours. You might as well get a copy of my ATM card and my PIN.... I will come back. -
Teacher lap-dancing in the gym????????

Sad in a way. Less than a minute of poor judgment and two careers are gone. All that education thrown away like it was for nothing.... -
Girls and guys.....
Old Dog replied to TracieGold's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Okay... this will date me. I am an old guy. But... neener neener neener... I saw Queen live 3 times in the late 70's and early 80's. Do you think it should have dawned on any of us that Freddie was gay and the band is called Queen??? I saw the News of the World Tour (we were absolutely dumbfounded when we heard "We are the Champions" live for the first time.) I saw the Jazz tour and then the Game. They were absolutely incredible in concert and the ticket stubs are still locked away somewhere as a treasure. A recommendation? If you have a blu-ray player and a decent TV get the "Queen Live in Montreal" dvd/bluray. I still get shivers when I watch that... -
The Time In-Between
Old Dog replied to Winnipegcub's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Thank you for this thread. My regular and I often communicate in the "time between." It is hard to label that connection you get when you have that relationship - there is no doubt that it is a bond. I enjoy her company regardless of the physical benefits and I think once you have established that rapport, the heart does follow to an extent. I do genuinely care for her. There are a few souvenirs that each of us has of the other; I know that when I see something that reminds me of her it makes me smile. Thanks again! -
Waking up with a hard on...question
Old Dog replied to Emma Alexandra's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
My ex used to get upset when she found out that I woke up breathing, let alone having morning wood. Meh. -
Question for the ladies: DATY
Old Dog replied to RobX's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Not a lady BUT... Cat and Harmony nailed this. Let's face it, this sort of relationship can be the most honest and frank between a man and a woman. That being said, it is the perfect venue to ask what is working and what isn't. I know that my regular SP loves DATY and knows that it is one of my personal faves; we have fun together with it. I am fortunate to know her well enough to judge her body rhythms, reactions and movements in order to maximize on our efforts and if I make a bad call, she will gently let me know what was working and what wasn't. Because of the nature of the relationship, it is only ever taken as a constructive critique. That's my two cents worth... carry on.
