So here is my 2 cents, CERB is amazing, but as a provider if I were to have solely relied on CERB I would have not be able to move ahead and be booking as much as I do. CL has a purpose, I am newish to the whole 'industry' thingy and don't think that CL distracts from the quality that is found on CERB, CL is an easy market, we dont necessarily get the implusive window shopper on CERB, you get the conscious, well researched - take your time to review 100 times shopper (which hey for quality is awesome, and THANK GOD for the handsome sexy hobbiests on CERB), now we all know CL has its ups and downs with respect to quality (me thinks Cowboy Kenny should have a section for the crappy customer... not just the bait and switch losers out there), however, it provides us with a means for quantity, and sometimes, for those that are just starting out, or even those that have been around for a long time just looking to add to their clientel, we need a means to hit that implusive window shopper to increase our numbers for the week... I mean, regardless of paying for advertising or not having the means to pay for it... our numbers have to support our individual lifestyles... Now I refer to myself as a provider, and I most definitely am, but I am more a hobbiest provider, I do massage because I love it, provides me with a means to meet amazing people, increase my rediculous shoe, purse and clothing collections... I know my schedule is limited, but I kind of like that... keeps me real and honest! :butt:

I have to admit I am one of those independants that magically turns 60 minutes, into 70, I just get lost in enjoying the company of a wonderful client... last week, I was actually very embarrassed, for the first time in 6 months I ran a late for a client, and asked him to give me 5 minutes so I could finish lighting candles, fixing my make up and setting the room for us, I NEVER run late, but just you know, one of those moments, so... because i was feeling so terrible asking him to wait, the lucky man ... was rewarded for his patience with 20 minutes to his benefit.... my bad, I never like to keep anyone waiting for me.... xxx what do you think - would a clock be helpful... lol Sophie http://sophiemassage.spaces.live.com

I proudly can say that I have never cancelled or rescheduled an appointment in the 6 months I have been taking appointments in Ottawa, I am always on-time and prepared for my appointments, as I book appointments with lots of time between them to allow my clients to not be rushed out the door, and to respect both their discretion, and mine. I once had a client arrive 30 minutes early for his appointment and surprised me by not ringing in and just coming to the studio and knocking on the door while I was just finishing up a session... again, was not impressed... I also ask that clients arrive on-time... not early, not late... it is only respectful. I have had a few no-shows, which I find to be incredibly rude, you found a way to make an appointment with me - find a way to let me know you are not going to come, I usually require a confirmation email/phone call/text 2 hours prior to your appointment, you, the client, should respect our time and cancel if you are not going to make it. I only work Wed and Thursday evenings, with the odd Friday afternoon, so my time is very precious and love to ensure that I can meet with only serious hobbiests, I would say that now that my screening process is better and information on my blog has helped to reduce the number of no shows, and increase the number of exceptional clients. I just wanted to chime in a bit here... I just turned 40 in March, and OH BOY... if someone would have warned me that I would become obsessed with personal pleasure... you could have knocked me over with a feather. Slappy, You are correct, I dont normally take many clients, I like each of my sessions to have 100% of my senuality in them. I am currently only working Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and on Saturdays during the day into the early evening. I am booking a maximum of 3 clients per evening, and 5 on Saturdays.
