Reply I got was very short. Simply a "Thanks, my rates are xxx/hr." Not sure what I think about that... -

Your perfect storm
TheSanityAssassin replied to Jabba's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I grew up deep in the country in Eastern Ontario, and there was a big farm field on the other side of the river we lived on. We had a big picture window facing the river, and I used to love hearing the first rumble of thunder. I'd run to the window and watch the sheets of rain and spikes of lighting cross the field towards the water and our house. It would push the pressure ahead of the storm front and this wave of mugginess, heat and unnatural calm would descend about 10 minutes before the rain hit. I'd run out and get nice and hot and sticky, and then just as the first rain drops started falling and cooling me down and run back inside while the cool air passed over the house and gave this awesome release when the rain started pattering off the house, rising up to a fever pitch that just drowned out all other sound in the house. Ever since I've moved into the city it's been one of the things I miss most. I still just lay awake in bed if a storm is coming to absorb the energy of it. I'm not exactly Wiccan, given that I don't have any proper instruction (though I hope to get some from a close friend who is), but I'm strongly attached to nature and identify myself as Pagan. Malika says it wonderfully though Silence and Violence....the life energy is just so wild and free, it's great. I don't much like Florida storms though....I find the onset is much to rapid, and they burn themselves out very quickly....nature almost feels tortured by them at times. The sun showers are nice at times, but the really heavy white-out storms just leave me feeling unbalanced. -

Tanqueray 10 and Ginger Ale for me, though if I'm feeling fancy I'll do: 2 Oz Orange Juice 2 Oz Cranberry Juice 2 Oz Sprite 2 Oz Gin Either that or some kind of nice IPA. I'm usually a Guiness or Fuller's drinker, but they just don't cut it as patio drinks. On the plus side, my deck is finally done!

The Price of Democracy
TheSanityAssassin replied to Lowdark's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'm largely in agreement with that. Years upon years of Minority governments will not move this country forward in any sense. Though I did not vote Conservative, I have in the past, and I honestly think they will put our economy in a better place over the next 4 years. So long as they don't try to shoehorn in morality laws, I think we'll do OK. The Conservative Majority will also give Canada the chance to see what a Right Wing majority means....by the time the next election rolls around, there's a good chance we'll see the government swing back left, or possibly even result in a Liberal resurgence. -

My wife is VERY fair, and she basically has to let herself burn and then stay inside for 3 or 4 days with some lotion on her skin. Then a base will come through and she'll pretty much stay tanned. That said she's 85% Irish, 15% Native, so that blood might do something odd to her tanning. -

Hard times!

I'm on Ontario Disability right now, so I'm not exactly making a ton of money. That said, I always have 50 or 100 bucks a month that's just to screw around with. Usually that goes to fueling my worst habit (mini war gaming haha), but I can afford to stash it away for 3 or 4 months to make a visit. Usually a chunk of cash just comes from selling something I have that I'm not using in order to do something I want to. I'm turning into a big buy and sell freak! -

Hope you had a great birthday Cleo! Though I'm sure there's no question of that! PS: My kitty is in my Avatar. Makes up for me not being able to figure out how to post a picture to the wall! -
I'm 26 myself and I tend to look for girls around that are within 5 or 6 years of me either way. I can do 21 or 32, but much younger than that and I feel like they are just too young, and older than that and I feel out of touch. Connection is important. But then again it goes for the kind of experience you want. Wanting a true GFE you are probably looking closer to your own age.
