If you are a competitor and you place a comment on someone's advertising thread that would be considered HIJACKING a thread.... and if you advertised yourself on someone else's advertising thread I am sure you will not make any friends. Unless I get valid complaints about such things I will continue to allow that. If you were doing this to "Help" your friend out by bumping her ad to the top others will complain. If you read the rule properly, it states you are in violation if you put the subject OFF TOPIC. The topic states agencies, his original post asked a question, "What other agencies in Ottawa do ins that are reliable?" My answer, though not word for word was this: I don't know any other agency BUT I know several indies, including myself, that would provide that service to you. If I read the hijacking rule correctly I didn't change the topic, simply answered his question. Just wanted to publicly represent my understanding of the rule, and yes I have read it. As I said if I misread the rule then I will take my punishment.

Hi PK, If you read closely I am not advertising my services, I am simply saying that we, indies, are available short notice as well and there are alternatives. If you believe I am hijacking a thread then I am sorry that you feel this way. I believe this is an open forum and that everyone is entitled to make a opinion. The guy asked for agencies, if he only wants agencies, great that's fine. Maybe he's had bad experiences with indies and that's why he's sticking with agencies. As for hijacking a thread if the thread was started by agencies I would have stayed my nose out of it. I was started by a hobbyist stating that he wanted to know if there were other agencies that offered ins that were reliable. I simply asked him a question, gave him some facts and didn't limit myself to myself but to us indies in general. If you feel offended by my remarks I will take my punches and take my suspension. In return if I did manage to inform the hobbyist to other venues for him to have someone cater to him by simply stating facts, not advertising, since it clearly states a general fact about an alternative to agencies, which do have their place then so be it. Hi everyone! I'm curious about 1 thing. Is there a reason why you would only limit yourself to agencies. There are many SPs out there, myself included that offer quality service, at reasonable rates. Independents actually on some occasions offer the same services, on short notice for equal or lesser cost than an agency since they don't have overhead. If you're looking for short notice bookings I'm sure many of us independents, including myself, would gladly oblige. Just my thoughts. Agencies have their place but we independents do too.

Most of these young guys are "rough around the edges" and think we are "barbie dolls" that can bend in anyway possible. Hi everyone: The more I'm reading this thread the more I see, at the very top of my window the title for this site "Canadian Escort Recommendation Board". Unless what I learned in school is not worth the paper I wrote my notes on "A recommendation is: Someone telling someone else that a product or service is worth while". We have been debating for days now, myself included, the pros and cons of advertising on CL versus here or EC. Also how the industry is going backwards or that free ads are "ruining" our business. Then it occurred to me! This is a recommendation board, not an ad board therefore if we follow the true meaning of the title this is where, just like in the arts and entertainment pages of a newspaper, people review SPs. If we follow this logic further, this is where people come to get others opinion on the various SPs advertised on any ad page. I see this board as the "Roper and Ebert" of the Escort world. The fact that there are forums an ad section and other unrelated subjects on here are just bonuses if we follow the title of this page. The main appeal of this board is that it is moderated. Which eliminates a lot if not all of the spammers, scammers, rift-raft that would be found elsewhere. Try as they may they seem to not last long on this site. But I think in the end, in my humble opinion, we are starting to miss the true essence of this page, if we follow the title. This is where people should come to get feedback on the various SPs that are advertising on the NET or in news print and should not be affiliated or biased for or against any of the advertising mediums used, but used strictly as a tool for reference on the SP they chose. I have however a better understanding that this is a "sister" site from EC and therefore biased towards that particular ad site. The discussion board is a great tool that ads to this recommendation aspect as we can debate our views on certain SPs or relate information and discuss it. I enjoy coming on here and reading others comments and seeing that we can differ and still come to an understanding on various subject. In closing, I hope this site remains open so that hobbyist and SPs alike have a venue to use to help each other make wise or wiser decisions when choosing one another. Have a good night everyone!

In response to the MOD: Just to clarify I am not, and it was not my intention, promoting CL or any other forum for that matter. Everyone is their own person and can choose which medium they use I was simply stating that not all are bad apples, and in a sense I was promoting verifying credentials before you make a decisions. Which means if you see someone you like on CL, cross reference with here, EC or any other medium at your disposal. One of our member here dedicates a lot of time and effort fishing out the scammers bait/switch, etc on his site. He does it for free (and you have the option of paying him "beers"). Yet another tool to see the scammers and avoid them. This said, no i did not purchase a banner from CERB, nor do I have an ad on EC, I was not told this was a requirement and yes I am prevailing myself of the FREE services that are offered. I do appreciate the fact that this forum is MODERATED, and i'm sorry that I didn't think of buying a banner to support this site. I will make a point of doing this as soon as possible. In closing, I tend to disagree with the MOD with respect to his comment regarding FREE ad sites. I believe everything in every day purchases from purchasing from your big box store to online purchases is a BUYER BEWARE market. This said, any good salesman can sell you a "lemon" if you don't do your homework and decide to buy on his/her word, you'll buy the "lemon", it will break down, rip you off, etc... however is it the salesperson's fault? Yes and No -- YES he could have told you the CONS regarding this particular product, but would have lost income, NO because it's really his job to SELL the product, no turn you away from it. As a consumer, it's your JOB to do research, and be aware of what you're buying. This particular individual, and the reason for this post, saw a product (the escort ad), got sold on it and bought a "lemon". He learned from his mistake I'm sure, may never shop again at the big box online discount store that is CL, but in the end if he would have done his homework, fished out the scam using CERB, EC or any other medium free or not, he would have seen the "lemon" said no thanks and moved on. Are we going backwards or ruining our industry by using these mediums? I don't agree. Are we opening the door to scammers, etc, my answer is that no matter what we do, there are people out there just waiting to scam you, if not on CL than they will use other ways. CL actually allows sites like CERB to flourish since it is just like a big box store and offers almost all you need in one location. How many of us walk in to a big box store for 1 item and walk out with another and spend twice as much as originally budgetted? I would think most of us. The same is true for CL, I'm sure a portion of the audience go on there looking for something and end up just browsing our section, and if the timing is right, the ad attractive enough, well you get yourself a client. CERB on the other hand is like your lingerie store at your local mall. Unless your specifically looking for lingerie, you won't go in there. Therefore both are needed to grab as much of a clientele and maximize your marketing. When I post somewhere, one of my first thought and what I like to find out is a) are there people that visit on here, if so how many? b) is spending time updating, maintaining and monitoring this particular marketing tool going to bring back a good ROE. So far I have found that CERB is a very good ROE, thank you MOD for you fantastic work in making it all possible! CL is the other medium that gives me a good ROE. I am advertised on other sites which don't give me such good ROE, therefore I just monitor them very, very infrequently. As for EC, I'm not a fan of the layout and I do know some SPs that advertise there and they say it doesn't bring them much in way of business hense the reason I am not advertised on there. Now that I am done ranting and raving, expect to see a CERB banner on my site in the very near future! :)...

Hello Everyone, I would have to say that I'm sorry you had a bad experience with an SP from CL. But being an advertiser (everyday) on CL and also a member of CERB, not all adverstisers on CL are of ill repute or offer a not so good service. My advice to you is to look at all the resources available before making your choice, but not put all the CL advertisers in the same boat (which I'm sure you weren't) I wish you luck in your next venture and hope you will have a much better experience next time sweetie.

Hi everyone, I just want to mention that Angela of Ottawa is absolutely right, I am not saying all of them are bad or want to think they can get freebies/discounts/my heart because they are 21 and fit/good looking/better than the old guys I'm used to seeing all day/etc... I was simply saying at that time that it seemed most of them were trying this. I enjoy reading all the post on here, and all comments are welcomed, I haven't seen "tween" bashing in any form. However, it seems some of you are taking it personal. Moto about taking it personal: The only thing that can be personal is something that affects you because you are doing it, have done it, or plan on doing it! If you're are not doing any of those things than it's just a comment and it's nothing personal. Therefore don't take it that way!

From time to time I have people that like to say my service wasn't up to their standards, which I can understand that I cannot please everyone. And FYI I wouldn't think you were thread jacking... this is an open forum and therefore all thoughts and what comes of them are welcomed on any thread I post... if most answer to you then great! Anyhow, I wouldn't go as far as to say that they are dumb, just should maybe not think of themselves as a saviour, better than the old farts you see all day, etc... I met my love while being a stripper in a strip joint. He was the DJ, so therefore he knew what kind of life being in the adult entertainment is. (he's been in the business well over 10 years). Most of these young guys and most guys for that matter that go into a strip joint or take advantage of services offered by SPs just don't know the "behind the scenes" life involved with this world. Alot of the clients I have dealt with in both my stripper life and this SP life, when they became regulars, offered to give me a better life, clothes, cars, houses, etc. Even though I appreciate all the gestures, they are just not aware that I do this because I enjoy doing this. No one forces me to do it, no one is pimping me, I do it almost for fun. Which for you clients is a bonus since I truly enjoy doing what I do. So as speedstick I just said a bunch of things that don't matter so I'm going to say I hope this was entertaining and speedstick no worries I enjoyed reading your thread.
