It might be a little early for this thread, but here goes....As a typical male, I have been known to....DESPISE shopping! I've heard through the rumor mill (haha), that women enjoy shopping? Me thinks many a man on here could use the ladies advice when it comes to Christmas gifts for our SO's and for our SP's. Any ideas for a gift under....lets say...$300, that shows thought and caring, but doesn't require a lot of work on our part? (just bein honest). Maybe even a map to make it real easy for us?...lol.. Seriously though, i think this would help us 'shopping challenged individuals'

something i do that drives myself craaaazy is...... constantly play with and adjust my glasses.. they irritate my nose and ears and everyone comments on me messing around with them... its not just these glasses its any and all glassez in general... as far as procrastination goes... i've had a bag full of movies and an 'arent we naughty ' bag sitting on the floor next to the tv for 3 weeks now.... it drives me nuts seeing them there when i watch tv, but i still havent moved them ...lol

I live in an apt. as well and occasionally i have heard a loud bang coming from my closet door. I'm sure it was the wood expanding and contracting as well... it was a loud bang or 2, but not really a knocking... the supt. replaced the bedroom closet doors because they kept falling off the rollers, and ever since i havent heard any noises... As far as ghosts go, i've never experienced it, but my my mom did. She saw my dead grandmother in a hallway, when my dad was in hospital for months in serious condition, and my grandmother told her "he'd be fine and she was doing a great job taking care of me"... As well she saw an Angel/ ghost who told her that my 37yr old. sister in-law was going to have kids after she had been told she couldnt.(and had tried to conceive for 15yrs).. A month after my mom told my sister-in-law this , she was pregnant with the 1st of 3 kids. that was spooky, cause i came home from school and my mom was in what i'd call a trance-like state and told me to call my sister-in-law... freaked us all out!

I just started dating an older woman who hadn't been with a man in 4 yrs, because her last 6 yr relationship was filled with domestic violence and verbal abuse. I feel like i have to treat her delicately. Unfortunately, many women i've dated in the last 2 years have been abuse victims. It's so sad, and i really don't understand how men can do this. I understand stress, frustration, depression, we've all been through it in our lives, but to take it out on your spouse or SO, i just dont get it. I'd rather hurt myself than someone I care about.. All i can say is that there are way too many a.....oles in this world, and I wish you ladies came with a built in radar to detect it... Even though she hasnt seen him in 2 yrs, the fear is still very evident... I just find it so sad.

I can relate as well, but i too agree that including psychological abuse in the title or starting another thread would open up a lot more mens stories. I can't pretend to know what a woman feels when being physically abused, it must be horrible. I know as a man when ive experienced it, i know im big and strong and can get a handle on the situation..ie/the punching, slapping, breaking things and being physically attacked will end, but as a woman being overpowered physically it must be torture physically and mentally not knowing when its going to end or when its going to start again... My only long rel ended when her physical attacking of me became too much. She had serious mental problems and i stayed for too long, trying to take care of her, being the soft-hearted guy i am, but in the end i left for my own health and sanity. As has been mentioned on here already by others, i've definitely developed trust issues and kind of lost the ability to allow myself to get close to someone. I also hate to see some of you wonderful ladies arguing about this. This is obviously an intensely personal topic as i'm sure many of the ladies on here have suffered at the hands of abusers.
