That's what she said.

For those casually following the Petraeus - General Allen - Jill Kelly thing, there is an interesting detail that comes up. Petraeus resigned after admitting to having an affair. The FBI appears to have known about the affair for quite some time and did not mention it to anyone. They are getting some flak for this "omission". Actually, Petraeus was not required to resign. He did so out of a sense of honour and a realization that once the affair became public, his credibility was shot. The FBI's lack of notification to the President, the head of the Intelligence Committee or anyone else was because they were following protocol. They were required to determine if any classified material was at risk. Finding none, they had fulfilled their requirement. Additionally, the FBI is still sensitive about their past history when J. Edgar Hoover was keeping personal files on everyone. General Allen's case is different. If investigation determines that he actually had an affair with Kelly or anyone else, his actions would be an offense under the Military Code of Conduct in which case he would be forced to resign and could be subject to military sanction. At this point, all that has been made public is that Allen and Kelly were playing some kind of electronic footsie which, while silly, is not illegal. So the difference between CIA Director and General is adultery, while stupid, is not illegal for the CIA Director but is both stupid and illegal for the General. I just love the way society twists itself into weird knots when it comes to matters sexual/

I share the sentiments of the previous posters. Because my gig today did not end until about 3 am, I know there is no way I can be down-town for today's observance. If you happened to be driving by the War Memorial at 2:45 am and saw a white stretch limousine stopped by the side of the road, that was me. I took my poppy, laid it on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and observed two minutes of silence in the cold gentle rain. I thought it was God crying.

Oh yeah, as just mentioned, there are studded snow tires. An amazing experience if you've never driven with them. In your area studded tires are legal from now to the end of April. They are illegal for Southern Ontario residents - $1000 fine!

Cristy, my general advice is that I have had good experience with Bridgestone and Goodyear. Both companies are having sales right now so this is a good time to be looking. For a more specific answer, there needs to be more detail such as what make and model car, is it high performance, is a quiet ride important, how long to do you intend to keep the tires. Winter versus All-Season? If you are going to do a lot of snow driving, Winter is lovely unless you don't mind having to push your car occasionally. As noted, however, you need to swap them for All-Seasons when the weather warms up. All-Seasons are generally sufficient for urban driving year round. This is a good primer on how to pick tires. The major manufacturers have tire selector tools on their websites to help you determine which tire is best for you. Generally, lower priced tires are a bit noisier and don't last as long. Bridgestone's selector is here. Goodyear's is here. Hope this helps and happy shopping!

Survey done. Been a while since I was buying these.

Spent 10 minutes last night being terribly proud of my country. And not for what one might take to be the obvious reason.

Oh, good lord folks. If you're going to be early, drive by, note the time, and drive to the nearest Tim Horton's or whatever. Note the time. If you can do simple math, you should be able to figure out how long you are going to sit there with a coffee doing the 1000-yard stare like everyone else sitting there. At the appropriate time, get up and get going. Life is simple. Unless you complicate it.

Newcomer Questions/Concerns
bcguy42 replied to Hmushman's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
Yes, it is possible to keep sex and romance separated. The question is this - in your worldview, are these two things, sex and romance, very much entwined or are they two separate things? If they are very strongly linked, my prediction is that you will find you have issues as you hobby. You will have a fantastic sexual experience with someone who you find charming to be around and who seems very interested in you. If you are conditioned to see this as the beginning of a romance, this will be a problem. If you can keep a clear understanding that this was great sex with a wonderful person who sees you as a client, maybe as a friend eventually, but always as a client, you'll do fine. My suggestion is that this is something that needs to be sorted out before you jump into the deep end. Just keep in mind that you are looking at something that ultimately effects three people - you, your SO, and your provider. Welcome aboard and, if your decision is such, happy "pooning"! :) -
Tags are something you add to a new posted message. When you post a new message, you will see a box down below the text that says you can add up to five tags. If you would like some suggestions, click on "Search" in the menu bar at the top, then click on "Tag search". That will give you an idea of what tags are being used. Pick one out the cloud at random and you will see a message using that tag. Hope that helps.

New to all of this... a few questions.
bcguy42 replied to JayDC's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
I second everything Kechara just said. Probably the most important thing is that you read the provider's website or personal page here on CERB. From there, you will know who prefers text messages, PMs, or email. As a newbie, I found it easier to make my initial approach via PMs as the lady could not tell how nervous I was. :) Regarding the age and reference, be up front with your contact. Age-wise, unless explicitly stated otherwise on her website, I think you will find many of the fine ladies will be happy to give you a chance. The reference thing is a lot like the "finding your first job" circle. Just like finding that first job, don't be afraid to ask. Clearly, all of the gentlemen in play here found someone who would take them without references for their first experience! Ask and ye shall receive. Oh, and welcome aboard. We're glad to have you here. -
Answer to the age old question
bcguy42 replied to NotchJohnson's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Ya know, this question never occurred to me before. And now that you bring it up, I would have tended towards the baby as being the correct answer. But now that you mention it, I have absolutely no desire to ever be kicked in the nuts again. Case closed. I bow to your wisdom. Or I will bow as soon as I pull myself up off the floor from laughing! Well done... -
If you have taken the time to read through Meg's extensive record of recommendations, be advised that every word of it is true except for the guy who said she was homely so he could keep her to himself. Can't say I blame him. From the moment when she peeked around the door to the much-too-soon goodbye kiss we had a perfect encounter. Everything Meg does she does well. She is as beautiful as a person would ever want. Playful smile, lovely curves, charming, oh-so-sexy everything. I won't go through the entire details of our visit. Let it suffice to say I had a wonderful, satisfying time and will most certainly find my way out to Orleans again.

If you read the page using Chrome, it will translate it for you. Or you can copy/paste into Google's translation function. The very short-form of the document is that a municipal court found some activity taking place in strip clubs to be prostitution and therefore a whole slew of people were guilty of being in a bawdy house and a few other things. The Court of Appeal threw out the judgement holding that the acts were not prostitution and therefore all the charges that flowed from those acts were set aside. There was no further appeal by the Crown.

They (the Vets) are at the Ottawa Airport. Because we spend the day sliding in and out of cars, our seat-belts cause us to go through a whole lot of Poppies. (No, the trick of using a small flag pin to hold it in place doesn't help.) But we drivers don't mind buying as many as we can go through between now and the 11th.

Because of all the cancelled flights, yesterday was a "snow" day (as in s'no work). Then I was asked last night if I would do a run to Toronto to get some folks down there who'd had their flight cancelled. So do I want to drive 10 hours round-trip into 60 - 100 km winds and rain? Hell yeah! :) Other than the car wanting to abruptly change lanes occasionally, it was a fun run. Passenger in the back, on arrival in TO, said she'd expected it to be much worse, that the drive down was so easy. I resisted the temptation to tell her she should have been up front. But that's what we do... make it look easy.

Illogical? Not surprising when you consider that Confederation Square in Ottawa is actually a triangle. If Canadians can mess that up, they can mess up anything! :)

anyone having trouble using the site with a bb?
bcguy42 replied to IsaMassage's topic in Tech corner
95% of Blackberry issues can be resolved by pulling the battery, then waiting 30 seconds before you put it back together. Stuff that I never though would be resolved this way got fixed by doing that. -
I am going to make an educated guess that there are not two blond women in Rockland who are "in the business" and advertise themselves as "Rockland Blond". Rockland isn't big enough for that coincidence. But I could be (and usually am) wrong.

How to post a lukewarm review
bcguy42 replied to stand on guard's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I find it funny to read this thread on the significance of recommendations versus no recommendations in that I just finished a reply to a new member telling him not to be scared off from someone just because there were no recommendations. I hope he reads through this whole thread as it explains how the greatest of ladies can have no recommendations or only a few. Personally, I take the recommendations as just part of the whole process in deciding who to contact. -
Welcome to CERB, Valth. If I understood your query correctly, #1: you're at that point where you want to choose a lady for your first date. #2: You want to know how to go about it. And #3: you wonder if you should stick with the recommended members or go with someone new. Taking your points in reverse order, #3: recommended or not? With recommended providers, you get a fairly clear sense of how things went for that author. If you are totally nervous, that gives you an idea of what to expect. Don't discount any of the ladies just because she doesn't yet have a recommendation. If one of these folks tickles your fancy based on her posts, albums, and / or website, go for it! Feel free to write a recommendation afterwards. Doesn't have to be fancy. Can be as simple as "I met with {insert name here} and it was fantastic." #2: How to go about it? Send her a PM or an email or call / text whatever is her preferred contact method and say something simple and truthful like "I'd like to see you but don't know how to go about doing this." She will take it from there. Trust me, you'll be in good hands. Finally, #1: How to decide. Just go with your gut (or some other organ in that region). Right now, who on your list seems most like who you would like to visit? Contact her. If for some reason that doesn't work out, who else? In other words, dive in! Its not going to happen until you do. And the odds are ever in your favour that you will have a wonderful experience. Good luck!

A ladies location: info to never be shared
bcguy42 replied to Cleo Catra's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
Seriously? Do folks have to be reminded that this, sharing other CERB-ites information, is a bad idea? To my mind, this applies equally to both genders though the distaff side is in more danger when this happens. In my simple mind, something like this should be self-evident. That being said, my days and nights are sometimes a continuous string of people either not recognizing the patently obvious or thinking it does not apply to them. This is simple. When an arrangement has been made and people get together, all concerned should afterwards develop instant amnesia regarding locations and phone numbers. When you want to revisit the occasion, you can gather the necessary information again. That's what I would say if I were asked.
