Q - Sex addiction episode.
bcguy42 replied to oldblueeyez's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I wasn't able to catch the show but this was the first tease I heard about the segment. "Sex addiction. Real or overblown?" Maybe I just have a dirty mind but I found that to be hilarious. And before anyone starts, I'm not minimizing sex addiction, just poking fun at Jian's writers. -
YMMV - A client's guide to a passionately wonderful time
bcguy42 replied to a topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I'm with Erin and the others on this one. To me YMMV has always meant exactly that. My experience will differ from your's for the simple reason that we are different people. Speaking only for myself I find the premise of the OP a bit off-putting in that I read the post as "what can I do to get you (the lady) to do more?" I guess I have this response because the answer is partly self-evident and the rest should be divined by experience. The OP indicated that he's not new to the craft so I suspect he already knows this and the question is one of those "just curious about" ones that could have been worded differently. But then, I'm old enough to remember that YMMV comes from '70s automotive commercials when they were first touting the better gas mileage of this car over others during the Oil Crisis. -
Unusual/Unfortunate Names
bcguy42 replied to Jabba's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Any discussion about unfortunate names will eventually get around to Fonda Dicks. She was a star high school girls basketball player from Moravia, Iowa, in the early '70s. She and I attended the same university at the same time. So facts: There is/was a Fonda Dicks. There is a person so named on LinkedIn. She married Randy Peters. Read about her, Nick Dicks and Muffy Cox here: Road Tips: Fonda Dicks -
Southern US accent. Georgia, to narrow it down. South-central Georgia to be more specific. Georgia Peaches... so good they're featured on their licence plates!

Ah, Janis... a large part of my worldview was shaped by her music. She was a major influence. Until yesterday. Or was it day after tomorrow? I still define a woman singer who is trying to tear her whole soul out on stage by how closely she resembles Janis. The loss of Janis capped off a pretty crappy two week period in the Fall of 1970. Jimi Hendrix, Blind Owl Wilson, and Janis all joined the 27 Club then. She's mostly remembered for "Piece of My Heart" but I liked her on "Summertime" because it was so close to where she started. why do hobbyists prefer asian girls
bcguy42 replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'm loving some of the comments in this thread. My first wife was half Asian (Japanese) and half German so that whole "submissive delicate flower catering to her man's needs" thing is a notion of which I was disabused early on. Lovely lady. Married to her for 12 years. Still friends with her. Because of her and other women of colour with whom I've had great relations, ethnicity is an item of interest equal to all the other facets that make up a person. There's my two bits. -
This is pretty much your standard attempt at discussing escorts vis a vis sex workers. What makes it interesting are the comments. They manage to get into trafficked children, blood diamonds and a wee holy war between two Muslim sects. Amazing how the mind works! http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2011/10/escort_services_are_they_always_prostitution_rings_or_are_there_.html

I wear a poppy. In fact, I go through about a dozen every year. Getting in and out of vehicles and seat belts cause me to lose them and I always buy more and I always thank the seller. For some time we worked a shuttle that involved the military. I don't know how it started but there was a tradition that when someone shipped out, they would stick one of those velcro-backed Canada flags to the fabric on the ceiling of the van. When they came back, they collected their flag. I have two of those flags that were not collected. They mean a lot to me. I know what they cost. "Theirs is not to reason why, theirs is to do ... " -
Go beyond the cover
bcguy42 replied to Malika Fantasy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Awesome video. I'm impressed with his ink. He clearly has something to say and has dedicated himself to getting there. I'm also fascinated to see that there is a cover available for those who want their art but occasionally have to cover it for whatever reason. Thanks, Malika. I can sleep comfortably tonight. Every day you learn a new thing is a day well spent! -
I was redirected by another thread to a John Prine song which reminded me that most of my life happens in one or the other of his songs. None of which has to do with these collected words of wisdom: 1 * Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue! 2 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. 3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it. 4 * Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker.. 5 * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague 6 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.. 7 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. 8 * Never buy a car you can't push. 9 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on. 10 * Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. 11 * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late. 12 * The second mouse gets the cheese. 13 * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. 14 * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live. 15 * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person. 16 * Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once. 17 * We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box. 18 * A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour. 19 * Save the earth..... It's the only planet with chocolate!*

Recommendations from SP's
bcguy42 replied to smitty_McFlung's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I had occasion a while back to ask an SP for a referral. I had just been in a session with a new (to me) SP that left me with a bad feeling. I contacted my favourite regular to have a good experience to supplant the last one. Unfortunately she was not available but offered that another specific SP would be good for me. I booked. I went. She was fantastic. I believe that because my regular SP knows me well she knew exactly what I needed. So SP referrals can be a wonderful thing. Posted via Mobile Device -

Was I wrong to think...
bcguy42 replied to JuliasUndies's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
When I read the start of this thread my eyebrows almost flipped off my head. He did what?? Unbelievable. Some people's children! I tend to agree with the position that the guy just volunteered to be an ex-client. Unless you want to discuss it with him. And then comes the perfect solution from Phaedrus - stopping the "process" just at the critical moment. I laughed out loud. I love it. -
Perfume on Service Providers
bcguy42 replied to Victoria Banks's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Handy tip: a quarter-sized dollop of hand sanitizer rubbed on your coat will get rid of odours. Same if you apply a bit like you would after-shave. We use this when we need to not smell like smoke. Sent from my BlackBerry 9780 which is well rested from it's vacation. -
Does anyone else's work life revolve around a Blackberry? My BB service died sometime between 11 pm and midnight last night. Therefore, no work for me today. I could go in and hang around on the off chance something comes up but I'm not in the mood today for that. The "official" Blackberry Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/#!/BlackBerry) consists of hourly postings on the order of "Crap, still down. Working on it" (my translation). The two best things I've read on the topic to date are: So nice of Research In Motion to honor Steve Jobs' passing with three days of silence. and What did one Blackberry say to the other? Nothing. So if any SPs, MAs, or clients are wondering why their BB has turned into a brick and haven't watched the news or gone to the web, that's what's (not) happening. Additional Comments: Have an #iPhone? Fancy turning it into a #Blackberry? Settings > Airplane Mode > On.

Have you ever had your balls shaven
bcguy42 replied to dirtnapkid's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
The first time my scrotum was shaved was by a nurse prepping me for my vasectomy. Nothing erotic about that but each time she told me to do something I did it in a hurry. Nothing focuses your attention more than a stranger with a blade in one hand and your balls in the other. The next shaving was done in an erotic environment and the shaving was followed by a very sensual bj. After a while, when I decided to let it grow out again, I learned that it is best to be one or the other - shaven or unshaven. That period of regrowth was quite a pain. Short hairs getting caught in fabric either causing an itch or actual pain. I am giving thought to going back to an unshaven state. Who knows. With a little encouragement I just might do that. :) . -
National Deppression Screening Day

Okay, I've learned something today I'd never heard of Cyclothymia. I took a look at it and I wish you well. If sex helps you get through it, great! One more good thing about sex! Regarding offending people here, I'm not sure what you are getting at but I have one good piece of advice to anyone. Before you click Submit for that PM or Enter in Chat, wait a few seconds, reread what you wrote, and if it is still all good, send it. Sent from my BlackBerry 9780 using Tapatalk -
How do you feel about babies?
bcguy42 replied to Megan'sTouch's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
No, you're not an evil person. You seem pretty normal to me. I've been through 4 babies of my own and now my babies are having babies - two boys, two girls and a third one to arrive in a week or so You are right about them when they first get here. Someone once described an absolute newborn as looking like a rat dipped in transmission fluid. I won't quibble with that. And for a seemingly interminable period of time, they are pretty much fluid machines. You put fluids in and you get fluids out. And yes, new parents are fascinated with every burp, belch, and squirt little Junior makes and are convinced that everyone else, including total strangers, are equally taken by all of this. If you are not, you are pretty normal. If you hang around new parents, be prepared for this. Learn to smile and say "mmph" a lot. None of this has anything to do with your personal maternal instincts. Everyone is wired differently. You may not be wired to want kids. You may be wired to want them - but not just now. You may think you're not the kid type but when a tiny version of Winston Churchill is placed in your arms after 26 hours of labor, you might decide this is the most beautiful person you've ever seen. If ever there was a scenario that was designed for this phrase, this is it. YMMV. And if you ever become a grandparent, there is one huge advantage. When the kid starts to leak anything, you get to had him/her back and say "Here. This is yours." -
Dr Phil: "You really are going to spend time telling me you do this for gifts? What, like a blender?" First answer that went through my mind: "But Dr Phil, it's a really GOOD blender - one of those Dijjon blenders!" Second thought: Dr Phil - gotta call sexist on this one. Really? The first gift you think of for a woman is a blender? Not a table saw, not an investment portfolio, not a bar fridge but a blender? Seriously? And not to prejudge (but I will anyway) but I'm gonna guess the good Doc never does get that perjoratively spoken term "prostitute" separated from "escort". His audience won't get it either and will applaud every bundle of wood he throws on the fire where he figuratively burns her at the stake. Let me know how it comes out. Posted via Mobile Device

National Deppression Screening Day
bcguy42 posted a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Today, October 6, is National Depression Screening Day. If you want to screen yourself go to http://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2011/10/06/national-depression-screening-day-is-today/ and take their 8- or 16-question test. Some thoughts: Depression is part of my day to day life. It has been since my early teens. It was "manageable", if you consider turning your back on it and pretending it didn't exist a management technique, until the mid-1990s. About that time the black dogs moved in and almost took over my life. I had the good fortune at that time to have a GP who was paying attention. He referred me to a kind, compassionate shrink. Together, we came up with a way for me to continue. The black dogs are still there. They sit beside me most days. But most of the time, most days, I can see past them to a brighter place. So go take the test. If you come up with something, talk to someone. Don't let the dark dogs win. Posted via Mobile Device
