Since BP imposed the limitations, choices are limited. As for what information we would like to see, it varies wildly according to what anyone of us is looking for. With the limited space allowed, I expect the text to give the basic information and although it is not ideal, I also look to the pics to hopefully find more details. Unfortunately we have to make due with the options available. Looks like BP is also imposing the publication of a link. I keep seeing these links to facebook , instagram, tweeter etc where most of them go to nowhere land. I don't know the details, but is might be an opportunity. Either way, when shit changes that is beyond our control we need to adapt and conquer. Sheers

There are some really great replies here. This post is a good read. I'd like to add that as a SP you are a public figure and thus open to criticism it being fair or not. Doesn't make it right, but it's a fact of life. The unfortunate reality is that although some will have unpleasant comments or have unsatisfactory encounters with you, many will be very satisfied and pleased but won't necessarily comment. You are who you are and diversity is what makes us human. For every man that prefers a tall woman, one prefers a sort one, or a thin one, or a big one... Stay proud of who you are as the only person that is worth listening to is yourself. All women are beautiful just the way they are.

I own a garage and I have been offered barter for my services. But the thing is that it makes the accounting tricky when there are parts involved. Further more, it is very difficult to be fair for both parties. The way I would do it is to simply bill the work and deduct or cover the difference with the rate of time spent. I thinks that is the only way I would feel good about it. I hate having a feeling of being short changed and I would not feel good if the other party feels that way.

After reading this thread, can I assume that the law includes private (via email, phone, etc) communications between 2 people ? Does the government need a court order to "spy" on this type of communication ? I was under the impression the law was for public methods only. Interesting...

Please note that I did not intend to judge or influence the MOD. I was just curious. This is a discution board after all, right :) I chose the word "monotone" to describe the feel right now as every one is very narrow in their posts as to respects the rules. As people get more familiar with the new environment the posts will get more colorful. I believe it starting to already. Personally, I'm more of a rebel, so I would go for defying the law. I don't feel that conforming to laws that are meant to help get votes that don't make sense or help the people it is targeted to should be followed. I do support the mod's decision even if it's not the choice I would have made and I raise my hat to all the work he has done... My 2 cents

Seams that several entities are defying the new prostitution bill. I think the new bill is bad and ever since CERB or LYLA has had the new rules, it has been pretty monotone. There are already provinces that won't prosecute basically killing the new law before it begins. If everyone defied the law then LYLA would not be in danger. You think it is a risk worth taking ? What are your thoughts people...

It's sometimes hard not to fall for them. We are genetically programmed to. But our reality is that we should not. So confusing at times to say the least. It takes time and effort, but your sentiments will stabilize with time and you shall never forget her. I keep my experience as some of my favorite memories and fantasies. Good Luck.

I totally understand both sides of the issue. I think that was is misunderstood is that time spent with an SP that you feel is not satisfactory can be the best time of an other hobbyist's life. So how can you say that a certain SP is not up to par ? Who's par ? Some people like it hot, some people like it not :P I know some people would prefer to be able to give negative feedback anonymously, but in not doing so it keeps things civil for the most part. If the SP was a B&S or a scam, there is a section for that, the rest is just a question of chemistry and personal tasts IMHO

I agree with you Ace Drivers and that's why I posted the question here. The replies I got are priceless and I'm very grateful for all the positive feedback. My last attempt at hobbying many years ago did not turn out right and this time I want the experience to be pleasurable for all concerned. Also I though this allot more appropriate discussed here rather than at an appointment. I guess if you don't have some disappointments you can't appreciate the better moment in life as much :D

It's been a while when the paper was the only option. The interesting part is the trust that has evolved on this board. I wasn't sure if I had done the right thing when I first became a member here, new I know I made the right choice :) My only problem right now is the get the business running good enough to allow me a good desert ;)

I assumed pretty close what would be the SP's point of vue, but still got some aspects I did not expect. But what really supprised me is the response from the hobbyist. This board make a huge difference for trusting each other (to some extent) and gives confidence to participate. There has been several SP here I would even thought twice about giving the donation up front. Not the same for D L or the news paper adds. Thank you all for your replies. I'm not paranoid, rather inquisitive as I have read that is has been an issue for both sides. I did get burned my self, but as in the post I referred to I truly believe that want goes around comes around. So I don't worry to much about these things. There was some very interesting comments though I like the views brought up so far.

This is an issue that has been discussed before but mostly from the SP's point of view (http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=41215) First off, an asshole is an asshole no matter there gender, race or creed. My peeve is that as a hobbyist by giving the donation up front I open my self to be ripped off and leaving the donation for the end opens the SP to be ripped off. Would showing the donation at the beginning but transfer the donation at the end would be a acceptable compromise ? What are your thoughts ?

I have clients that do that to me all the time and I'm a mechanic. It is anoying, but in the end, the choice is yours to respect your limits and your rates as you see fit and if the customer is not happy he can go else where, otherwise you end up resenting your profession. Can't win then all ;)

Although loosing a few posts can be a little annoying, as you mentioned that the automatic backups was corrupted it is what needed to happen to prevent a major loss off the site. Wow, This thread is very educating to say the least. One thing that does scare me is the YMMV as I guess I'm worried about judgment more so than simple hygiene and respectfulness.
