3. 7-suicide? Panu Horsmalahti Involuntary celibacy as a gender equality problem Males want sex more, in the earlier part of the relationship and with more partners than women. As women have higher supply and men higher demand, a power structure is created for women. The difference in libido caused by biological (and perhaps cultural) factors creates major implications. As the difference is at least partly biological, the problem cannot be fixed without changing the human nature itself. The average woman can get sex with a 70% probability by asking a total stranger out of the blue. For males the percentage is 0. In dating sites women do not have to initiate contact, they just have to sit and wait and pick the preferred male. There's usually 3-5 men for each women in a dating website. In a bar context, the women can simply wait to be approached for casual sex. The difference in libido causes a significant problem for males. A small number of high quality men (alpha males) can satisfy a number of women. That leaves out a portion of males outside the relationship/sex market(s). Polygamy is in fact polygyny. It's useful for the women, but detrimental for men. Men living in involuntary celibacy are called omega males. Sex is a basic need and a right for humans. In Denmark the state can pay for a disabled person's prostitute visit, since without it the person would suffer from chronic lack of sex. The state can pay for omega males to go visiting prostitutes in the United Kingdom. It's a cheap solution to psychological distress, as therapy is expensive (whores do not need a higher education). It would be unethical to claim disabled persons have a right to sex, but "normal" people don't. I'd say involuntary celibacy is a medical problem which should be treated with taxpayers money just like any other problem. Lack of sex is a major cause of distress for males. One cause of suicide is lack of sex partners. It's not suprising that men commit 78% of suicides, as women do not have to suffer from lack of sex as much as men. As this is a social problem which affects one gender more than the other, it can be viewed as an issue in gender equality. The solutions to the problem I know of are not easy or that effective. The problem should be studied more and possible solutions researched. However, there's some solutions that can be impletented immediately: 1) Increase prostitution by legalising it and bordels. Prostition should be supported as a honorable and an important work. The negative stigma should be abolished with education. Doctors should be given the possibility to order a prostitution visit to males in need of sex as a part of comprehensive sex therapy. On the other hand, the state might give out a one time sex-service coupon of about 200 euros to every young person. 2) Sex substitutes should be also supported. The availability of porn and sex toys should be high. Currently sex dolls are advancing at a high rate. These substitutes do not solve the problem completely, but can make the life of involuntary celibate as bearable. As unemployement often leads to a lack of relationship, these products should be affordable also to the poor. 3) The social stigma of loneliness, involuntary celibacy and virginity should be removed with education. The worst diss a man can receive is being called a virgin. Even though involuntary celibacy is bad as it is, it gets even worse if the community starts to denounce the person. 4) Women's sexuality should be increased in schools and through education/propaganda. The more women have sex the more equal the society becomes. Schools should study that sex is acceptable, fun and safe. The stigma of "whoring" should also be removed, since it limits the amount of sex women may have. Women should be taught to make more initiation, so men with social anxiety get approached too. Of course, most of this increased sex is used up by alpha males, but at least it diminishes the problem a bit. 8-homicides? A great book and research masterpiece! Violence against women By Claire M. 9. Before a search engine can tell you where a file or document is, it must be found. To find information on the hundreds of millions of Web pages that exist, a search engine employs special software robots, called spiders, to build lists of the words found on Web sites. When a spider is building its lists, the process is called Web crawling. (There are some disadvantages to calling part of the Internet the World Wide Web -- a large set of arachnid-centric names for tools is one of them.) In order to build and maintain a useful list of words, a search engine's spiders have to look at a lot of pages. How does any spider start its travels over the Web? The usual starting points are lists of heavily used servers and very popular pages. The spider will begin with a popular site, indexing the words on its pages and following every link found within the site. In this way, the spidering system quickly begins to travel, spreading out across the most widely used portions of the Web. "Spiders" take a Web page's content and create key search words that enable online users to find pages they're looking for. Google began as an academic search engine. In the paper that describes how the system was built, Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page give an example of how quickly their spiders can work. They built their initial system to use multiple spiders, usually three at one time. Each spider could keep about 300 connections to Web pages open at a time. At its peak performance, using four spiders, their system could crawl over 100 pages per second, generating around 600 kilobytes of data each second. Keeping everything running quickly meant building a system to feed necessary information to the spiders. The early Google system had a server dedicated to providing URLs to the spiders. Rather than depending on an Internet service provider for the domain name server (DNS) that translates a server's name into an address, Google had its own DNS, in order to keep delays to a minimum. When the Google spider looked at an HTML page, it took note of two things: * The words within the page * Where the words were found Words occurring in the title, subtitles, meta tags and other positions of relative importance were noted for special consideration during a subsequent user search. The Google spider was built to index every significant word on a page, leaving out the articles "a," "an" and "the." Other spiders take different approaches. These different approaches usually attempt to make the spider operate faster, allow users to search more efficiently, or both. For example, some spiders will keep track of the words in the title, sub-headings and links, along with the 100 most frequently used words on the page and each word in the first 20 lines of text. Lycos is said to use this approach to spidering the Web. Other systems, such as AltaVista, go in the other direction, indexing every single word on a page, including "a," "an," "the" and other "insignificant" words. The push to completeness in this approach is matched by other systems in the attention given to the unseen portion of the Web page, the meta tags.

12. Can Watermelon Boost Your Sex Life? A new study has shown that watermelon contains ingredients that act in the body like Viagra. By Anastasia Mott Austin Watermelon, the new Viagra? Maybe, according to a new study released this week by Texas A&M University and published in Science Daily magazine. A& M?s aptly named Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center has been studying a compound found in watermelon called citrulline. Dr. Bhimu Patil, director of the Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center, and his team have found higher levels of citrulline in the watermelon flesh than they previously thought. "The more we study watermelons, the more we realize just how amazing a fruit it is in providing natural enhancers to the human body," said Patil. I guess so, especially if they actually act like Viagra. Citrulline is converted to the body into arginine, which boosts nitrous oxide, an ingredient known to relax blood vessels in a similar way that Viagra does. "Watermelon may not be as organ specific as Viagra," said Patil to reporters. "But it?s a great way to relax blood vessels without any drug side-effects." Just how much watermelon would someone need to consume to create an effect similar to taking a tab of Viagra? A lot, say scientists. At least six cups would need to be consumed to get even a noticeable relaxation of blood vessels, and like Dr. Patil noted, this would not be "organ specific," so who knows how much one would need to eat to get that specific result. With six or more cups of watermelon, you?re going to get some unpleasant side effects as well, such as more frequent bathroom trips, maybe a touch of diarrhea, and a blood sugar rise that may be temporarily pleasant but lead to a crash later. Some experts are quick to poo-poo the watermelon-as-Viagra idea. Dr. Irwin Goldstein, editor of The Journal of Sexual Medicine, told reporters at CBS News that the idea of people being able to get a?er, boost, from eating watermelon is greatly exaggerated. He elaborated: "[That] would be the equivalent of someone dropping a beer bottle in Minneapolis, where the Mississippi River starts, and hoping to see it make an impact on someone in New Orleans." Dr. Roger Clemens (no, not that Roger Clemens), professor of pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Southern California agreed. Dr. Clemens said (with no apparent irony) that thinking watermelon will act as a Viagra-like stimulant is "clearly premature." Well okay, then, maybe watermelon sales will not ah, rise sharply. But Dr. Patil says that there are other benefits to the tasty fruit. Watermelon is high in lycopene, a heart-healthy antioxidant, as well as potassium, a natural diuretic. So it?s still a good idea to eat a delicious slice or two of juicy watermelon this Fourth of July; just don?t expect it to add any fireworks to your bedroom.
13. I mean attraction in general rather than "sexual attraction ONLY". Speaking for myself, I get a turn on when I see a man looking well groomed....a clean and fresh "out of the shower look"; if he has :masculine hands, a great smile (natural or not), and can hold my gaze for a bit...he has me melting already..... I have been asking my clients and more or less I got the same answers from all of them -excluding the breasts and long legs who all of them adored- here are their answers: Clean fresh looks; tidy appearance; clear smile; bright eye contact; feminine hands and , surprisingly to me, most of them prefered short trimmed nails than plastic ones...confidence, good posture....and eye contact for all of them. Perfumes were a turn off, as well as thick make up.... I found this article and if you want to contribute to the thread it will be great...we are all different, but somethings are liked by all of us! What do you find attractive? by Harmony Stalter ? "What we find attractive about a person is completely up to the standards we set for ourselves and what we believe we deserve. But, there are some things that other people find attractive in one another that are just weird. ? Imperfect Teeth Normally, someone would be attracted to another person?s smile. But, the attraction is to a smile with the perfect straight teeth you see in the toothpaste commercials. There are those people that think imperfect teeth are cute or sexy. There are some actresses and musicians that have this quality, such as Kirsten Dunst, Patricia Arquette and Jewel. Vegetarianism If the person looking for the date is a vegetarian, then they will only date someone that has the same trait as them. They will find this an attractive quality to have in their potential mate. To them a omnivore, which is what most people are, will not be the person for them no matter how attractive looking they may be. Accents For some people this is a very attractive quality. If someone is from a country other than your own, then you may find it attractive. Whether it is a British, Australian, Italian, French or an American accent it can be a turn on for some people. Submissiveness This trait is normally attractive to the more dominant personality. They think that a person who will submit to their every whim is attractive to them. They can tell if the person they find physically attractive is submissive by their body language. They will then pursue that person for their own personal needs. Faith Can someone?s devout faith really bring two people together? To some people it can. There are people that go to church looking for love and they will find it. Sometimes, having a little faith can bring you the love that you are looking for. Education Some people find the intelligence of a well educated person attractive. Sometimes, the higher the degree the more attractive you become. The brain can be very attractive to the right person. Feet The feet are not something that you would normally find attractive, but to some people they are. If a person has nice feet, then they will find them attractive. If a girl wears open toed shoes and she has nicely manicured toes, there are guys that find that extremely attractive. Quirky/Uniqueness If you are different from the "normal" people in the world then you can find love too. Everyone has a quirk or something unique about them. That little thing that is different from everyone else can be very attractive to another person. It can be considered cute or have an endearing quality to it that makes you who you are. Sarcasm A witty banter between two lovers can be attractive. If you can find someone with the same sense of sarcastic humor as you have, then they can be attractive to you. "Busting chops" all in good fun can be a form of foreplay for the two people involved. Hair Whether it is body hair or the hair on your head, it can all be attractive to someone else. You can have a gorgeous head of hair and can be attractive to the other person. You can have a little or a lot of body hair and that can be attractive to another person." ?
14. Canadian Tourist Accuses Mexican Police of Raping Her Jan 18th 2011 ? 6:53AM CBC News A Canadian woman alleges that Mexican police gang-raped her in jail after she and her fiancé were arrested while on vacation in Mexico for New Year's Eve. Rebecca Rutland, 41, says police in the Mexican resort town of Playa del Carmen took the Ontario couple into custody in the late hours of Dec. 31 following a confrontation between officers and her fiancé. Once in jail, Rutland, a social worker doing her thesis in Thunder Bay, Ont., says two police officers took turns raping her. Rutland and her fiancé, Richard Coleman, 51, of Toronto, also allege officers robbed them of hundreds of dollars and other valuables. Mexican authorities deny that Rutland was sexually assaulted and dispute the couple's version of events, saying the two were very intoxicated and quarrelled with police in an exchange witnessed by several people. After several rum-and-cola drinks, Rutland and Coleman say they stopped at a restaurant to use the washroom on their way back to their nearby resort when a man tried to pick up Rutland. Coleman and the man began to argue on the street packed with partygoers and four police officers intervened, the couple says. Coleman says he had a heated exchange with the officers when the police wanted to search him for drugs. Coleman, a six-foot-tall man with long hair tied in a ponytail and gold hoop earrings, says he believes police targeted him due to his looks. "I don't think anything I could've said or not said in that moment in time would have really changed it," said Coleman. "But I believe when dealing with a police officer that is overstepping his authority. I believe it is incumbent on me to point it out to them, even if it means I am going to have to deal with some charges afterwards." Police threw Coleman to the ground, allegedly causing a gash on his forehead, and handcuffed him. They also arrested Rutland. On the way to the police station, Rutland said a female officer stole one of her rings. Coleman claims an officer also stole more than $700 cash, his BlackBerry and jewelry. He says he later discovered the word "deceased" posted as his BlackBerry Messenger status, as well as Facebook updates via BlackBerry stating he beat his wife. Allegations of repeated rape At the police station, a large city block-sized facility, the couple were brought to separate areas, they say. Coleman says he was placed with another foreigner in a cell that reeked of urine. Rutland says she was taken to a room where an officer conducted a frontal body search, touching her breasts and undoing her jeans. She alleges the officer then made her kneel and forced her to perform oral sex on him. Two police officers, she alleges, then took turns raping her. She says she didn't put up much resistance because she feared for her life. "I did try sort of push him away but I had four officers standing there in Kevlar with machine-guns and my feeling was if I tried to resist it was going to make things a whole lot worse for me," said Rutland. "And I just wanted to get out as intact as possible, which is not really all that intact actually." Rutland said the police officers beat her and also bit her during the ordeal, once below her lip and another time on her right arm leaving a gash and bruise. At one point, Rutland said she saw the night supervisor at the door. "I remember looking up and thinking and seeing him and thinking, 'Thank God, somebody is going to stop this.' [Then] he turned around and walked away," said Rutland. Coleman said he learned about Rutland's alleged rape from fellow inmates cleaning and then tried to kill himself, hoping the act would draw attention to his partner's plight. "I was completely losing it and getting completely depressed and was thinking there's a good chance that neither of us are going to get out of here," said Coleman. Both say they feared the officers would kill them. "I arrived at some bizarre logical process that the only way we were going to get out of here alive is if one of us could ... if I could kill myself so they would have to bring in authorities, at least then Rebecca would have a chance," he said. Coleman said officers found him trying to commit suicide by hanging himself with a shirt, then beat him and recuffed him. Mexican police investigate Eighteen hours passed before the two were released from jail after paying a 1,600-peso, or $130 Cdn, fine, they say. The two have filed complaints with the judicial police who investigate local police in Mexico and also the Canadian consular agency in Playa del Carmen, which is about 60 kilometres south of Cancun. "We are very concerned about these allegations," said Department of Foreign Affairs spokesman Alain Cacchione from Ottawa. Mexican authorities say they are investigating the allegations and co-operating with Canadian officials based at the consulate. "At the request of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Parliamentary Secretary [Deepak] Obhrai has spoken with Mexico's ambassador to Canada to discuss the case," said Cacchione. "We welcome the Government of Mexico's investigation into these allegations, and we expect a thorough and transparent investigation and a timely resolution to this case." Rutland says she hoped a video camera in the room where the alleged sexual assault took place would prove her allegations. But Rutland says she was told the camera, apparently screened by officers at another station, has been broken since Dec. 28, days before the alleged attack. Quintana Roo State Attorney General Francisco Alor Quezada said a rape kit test on Rutland came back negative. A sexual assault expert from Toronto's Women's College Hospital, however, says a negative finding on the kit doesn't mean a sex assault didn't happen.

19. Erotic Hypnosis??? By Barney Clyde Also known as hypnofetishism or hypnophilia, erotic has had a very long and colorful history, going back to as far as the ancient civilizations. Many cultures around the world, including Western civilization, has a history filled with myths of seduction - myths such as those of the witches from the middle ages. Erotic hypnosis has emerged from people's imaginations over the past half century. Numerous books have been written about the subject as well. Before going into erotic hypnosis, it is best to define what hypnosis is. Hypnosis is an altered state of one's consciousness often achieved through combinations of suggestions. What is erotic hypnosis? Erotic hypnosis is a type of hypnosis that involves the connection of hypnosis to sexuality. It can involve suggestions to enhance one's sexual experiences through the removal of inhibitions, enhancing the senses and increasing sexual responses. Erotic hypnosis is used by individuals who want to intensify their feelings relating to arousal. No one really knows for sure how hypnosis works; however, this type of trance can be applied to almost anyone. Everyone can be hypnotized. People experience one or two self-induced trances everyday, the difference lies in the person's response to the different techniques of erotic hypnosis and the suggestions that are provided. There are people who respond to physical and direct suggestions while some people respond to emotional suggestions. Most people would be hesitant to try erotic hypnosis as this isn't a subject that comes up often. Some would also have reservations as to the effectiveness of erotic hypnosis. This type of hypnosis can be effective; however, everyone's experience is unique. People respond differently to hypnosis - some say it feels like a being in a lucid daydream, some described the experience as similar to that of floating in air, saying it is thrilling and extremely erotic. Some individuals may have only a limited response to their first experience and have their responses build up over time. If you are one of these people, all you need to do to have a deeper trance is to practice. Enter trance frequently, this way, you can train your mind to enter deeper trances. Erotic hypnosis may be used to enrich your sexual experiences. This type of hypnosis may be used by individuals to overcome their problems relating to sex such as feeling agitated or due to sexual dissatisfaction or being frustrated and tense after a not so satisfying sexual experience. Some of the latest methods and tools used in erotic hypnosis may be applied to overcome these common problems. Different relaxation methods are available and you may be able to have a session targeted to 'cure' these problems through suggestions that are especially made to take out any negative thoughts relating to your sexual experiences. The neutralization of these negative feelings can bring about a better and more satisfying sex life for you.
