  1. VPNs are certainly an important part of this, but they don't come close to being the whole story. You'd also have to have completely separate browsers for FB and for other use, at the very least, to avoid tracking via cookies and other methods (these don't rely on the IP address you're using). And you might need more than that (separate machines, VMs, or things like Tails) to avoid things like LSOs that are stored on the machine as a whole Another issue: AFAIK VPNs are much harder to use from a phone, and accessing everything from your phone is a primary source of the kind of tracking that we're talking about here. Even if you use one, a VPN doesn't help if your phone is tracking your location at all times (and most people have location tracking turned on and don't think about it). If all that sounds complicated... you're right, it is! That's why most people don't do anything about it, and companies like Facebook and Google continue to know everything about everyone. Also: there are much better sources of information for this stuff than random Chinese websites (that's where topvpn100 is probably based, from the whois data, and it's clearly written by someone who has English as a second language).
  2. I've never met either Brody or this lady, but they definitely don't look the same to me...
  3. In general: hands only. No oral, no FS. Many MAs are fine with you giving as well as receiving when it comes to hands, but not all, so ask if in doubt.
  4. I'd noticed Farrah on Twitter, and been intrigued by some of her posts. It took me a while to actually go and see her... but I finally made it. I found she's very open and easy to chat to, and we talked about various things while she gave me a massage and I admired the view in the big mirrors that they have installed at Paradise. After a while the massage became... not so much a massage as prolonged and exquisite teasing, and... ohhhhh, she's good at the teasing! By the time she asked me to turn over I was more than ready for... exactly what I didn't get, because Farrah continued to slowly dial up the levels of anticipation. Eventually, yes, things came to an inevitable conclusion, with enough time for us both to jump in the shower and clean up before it was time to leave. Already looking forward to seeing her again, and I think it won't be long before I do!
  5. So, the problem is... go to his profile (or anyone's) and under the reputation score there's a little "See reputation activity" link. Click that, and you get to a mostly blank page. There's some totals on the left for reactions given/received, but the main body of the page is empty. It looks like it ought to be a log of those reactions like the activity log, but without things like posts, quotes, etc, I'd guess? Yours is empty too. Mine has one entry in it from when someone liked a post I made on their profile, but there's nothing from the forums anywhere and I suspect there probably should be. I've just put a test post on your profile - could you hit the like button on it (or something) so we can see if that shows up in the reputation activity on your profile and/or mine? Edit: Thanks! That shows up in the reputation activity on both our profiles...
  6. Sort of. Some of it is discussion of how things used to work. The real problem is that nobody quite knows how it works now :) On "reputation activity"... on the left you can see all the totals of stuff you've given and received. The main bit of the page... I have one entry, and it's for something that I posted on someone else's profile, so it may well be that the software that generates that list isn't looking at the forums for activity... which sounds like a bug to me. I'll drop Cerbmod a PM about it and maybe it'll get fixed someday... although this kind of thing may not be all that urgent :)
  7. Interesting article on an issue that's of concern to many of us. https://gizmodo.com/how-facebook-outs-sex-workers-1818861596 Question is... how do you avoid this? I suspect a lot of it is because everyone has FB on their phones, and when two phones are together for a while... their owners must be too, right? This stuff is very hard to avoid, but I'd suggest a few things. Having separate phones for your normal and Lyla-related lives is a sensible precaution, even if you don't have a SO to hide it from. Don't access your more illicit accounts (here, Twitter, email, etc) from your real-life phone, and vice versa. If you can, turn your civvie phone off when you're meeting someone for shenanigans (preferably a bit before you get there, and leave it off until you're well away afterwards). If you can't do that, at least turn off the location services, and wireless/data too if possible. That means FB doesn't know quite where you are and can't find out. Removing all FB apps from your phone is probably best of all, but that might not be a viable option for a lot of people. And finally, if you ever do get an inappropriate suggestion for someone you may know on FB... at the very least, ignore it. And better yet, block them so it doesn't happen again.
  8. +1 on this. There used to be a link from someone's profile to find all the posts that person had made (I think it just redirected to a suitable search). It was generally very useful. I quite often used it to find a recent ad from a provider who didn't post all that much. I believe the ladies also sometimes used it when screening people...
  9. I think lots of people have. She has a reco thread, I'm sure...
  10. To be honest, I doubt anyone really knows about the historical numbers. The ways that you can get reputation and give it to other people have changed several times over the years. The amount of reputation you got from those methods has also changed over the years (and has been variable for some of them). There has been at least one wholesale revamp of the system. And I'd be surprised if anyone remembers the details As for differences between people with similar membership timespans and numbers of posts - I'd guess it's probably down to when each of them was active, and how active they were at particular times, and how easy reputation was to get when they were active. But the really important word in that last sentence is "guess" :)
  11. There are quite a few people around who will do massage and DFK. If you want oral, go see an escort, or someone who advertises as a "hybrid MA".
  12. The negative rep points used to exist - so you aren't hallucinating, RG - but they were removed years ago. One reason some people have a huge number of points is that the way they get handed out has changed several times over the years and so people who were around back when they were a lot easier to accumulate have... more. That probably isn't entirely fair on newer members, but I'm not sure how you'd do any sort of conversion or adjustment without screwing someone somewhere.
  13. A word of warning: Cerbmod and his team are experimenting with new things on the layout, so it may move again in the future :)
  14. I had the pleasure of meeting Eva a couple of weeks ago (yes, I'm way behind on writing recommendations...) She appeared at CMJ this summer, and I had a feeling she looked familiar... and yes, it turns out that she has returned to Ottawa after a couple of years away. I'd never managed to meet her before, but I'm glad I did this time! This was my first visit to CMJ East in quite some time, so there was a brief oh-shit-shich-door-is-it? moment before I finally made it to the right place. All very much worthwhile after that, though... first impressions were good, and subsequent impressions were even better as we made our way to the shower to get to know each other a little better. And then to the massage table... "I work better on top," she told me, and then proceeded to get to work on the numerous knots in my back while I admired the view in the mirror, while we chatted about her travels and various other things. There was less conversation once the bodyslides began (they are *so* distracting...) and after that... thing progressed to a fantastic conclusion. And then - too soon, as always - it's time to clean up and head out. But I had a great time, so one day it'll be time to head back and see her again...
  15. Before the board moved to new software it went up every time one of your posts was thanked, nominated, etc. I don't know the mechanics of it now, but I assume things like likes, thanks, etc on your posts still make it go up. Edit: yup. I just liked your post and now you have one more reputation point than previously :)
  16. I suppose it could be traced back to you if LE felt inclined to do it. I suspect that's highly unlikely; despite C36 making it technically illegal, LE really aren't interested in what consenting adults do in private. They tend to focus on the street workers (they're visible, so people complain), and underage and/or trafficked providers. And, of course, the clients who see them. if you stick to reputable spas/agencies/independents, I don't think LE's out to get you. It also depends to come extent what you have to lose. If you're single and retired... well, what does it matter if you get found out, really? If you're married and work for a highly sensitive part of the government and are a high-value blackmail target... well, it might be more of an issue. I use a burner phone, but my big reason for doing that is to prevent the likes of Google, Facebook, etc harvesting the phone numbers and emails I get in touch with for activities relating to this board, and then using those to sell me things or suggest friends for me. Best that our corporate overlords never know.
  17. True. The problem is that most people don't understand the price they're paying for "free" stuff.
  18. If you want to get in touch with her - or any other provider, for that matter - I'd recommend looking at a recent ad, visiting her website, and contacting her in the manner which she specifies there.
  19. The fact that they can check these things doesn't mean they will. I've never been asked about my weed-consumption habits when I've been to the US and I don't know anyone else who has either. So... I don't know how much of a problem this will be in practice. But I agree, it's all getting rather silly, and avoiding the US might be a good idea for the moment (I've been going less than previously). Hopefully the US will get its act together and engage with reality at some point, but I suspect it'll take a few years.
  20. Katia arrived at CMJ earlier this summer (I think). I'd heard good things about her, and so a couple of weeks ago I decided to see if they're true. TLDR: they are. I was impressed when she walked into the room, and even more so once the clothes came off. She's blessed with some fantastic curves (especially in the vicinity of her ribcage, for those of you who think that's important :) and so we headed to the shower for a closer assessment. I could have stayed in there all day... but if I'd done that, I'd have missed out on the really good massage she gave me, which was definitely needed. And that was accompanied by some interesting conversation... right up until the massage turned into bodyslides, at which point I always find it gets rather hard to concentrate! Well, the bodyslides led into a lot more fun stuff... but you'll have to use your imaginations for that! Finally, time for another shower to clean up the oil that managed to get absolutely everywhere, and unfortunately that's all. Until next time.
  21. As far as I'm concerned... it's not governments I'm worried about - it's the relentless hoovering up of everything that Google, Facebook etc do all the time. This is how you end up with providers' real-life FB profiles in your 'suggested friends' list.
  22. +1 on this. I really dislike having to put the provider's ethnicity in there. Fortunately you can skip it if you're adding to an existing reco thread.
  23. The 'recent ads' thing is good. I like that you've added the 'only one post visible at a time' banner to the chatbox because some folks were double-posting on occasion. I'm not sure about moving the chatbox off the front page. IIRC the original intent of it was to provide a place where people could say, "Hey! I'm available right now!"... and that was sort-of what it actually got used for :) Moving it to a less visible spot will decrease its effectiveness, and probably mean it gets used less.
  24. You can, but some providers screen on this basis. Unfortunately texting apps are used by timewasters.
