  1. Good question. I'd have thought that provided the ladies in question are still active and providing the same level of service it'd be OK. Probably worth mentioning in the reco that it's from a meeting a while ago when you weren't on the board, though.
  2. Agree with the previous posters. Dropping in unannounced leaves you in the lap of the gods depending on who's available at the time. To be honest, I've found that seeing someone just because she looks hot is also... prone to unpredictable results. I've had good results when I've done my homework and gone to see someone either because I've had some communication and connected with them, or they have established a good reputation. And the best ones... you almost certainly won't get them as a walk-in because they're very often booked up in advance.
  3. Is this new, or something I'd just completely failed to notice previously? Everyone: to save you making the same mistake I did, cerbmod's talking about the main Lyla page, just under the chatbox... not the general discussions forum page.
  4. It was a lot of fun! Big thanks to everyone who organized it!
  5. I'd also met Cleo at an OIC social (and that alone makes them worthwhile). I've been a bit out of the loop over the summer, but I finally got around to paying her a visit recently. Booking was quick and easy. Waiting for the day to arrive was... less easy, but it was all worthwhile when she opened the door and let me in. We took a few moments to catch up on various things we'd been up to since we last spoke. Before too long we were discarding clothes and... well, what happened next is a bit of a blur, to be honest, but trust me when I tell you that it was a LOT of fun! Once that was done there was time to lie around and chat for a while and I could simply take pleasure in being with her... Cleo would be an excellent person to hang out with even if there was nothing on the agenda other than conversation, and having the time for that sort of thing is a great benefit to longer appointments. There are other benefits to longer appointments, too... Eventually it was time for a shower to clean up, and time to go... but I'm looking forward to seeing her again sometime!
  6. The digital land-grab rewards the people that get to the platform in question first, and there isn't much anyone can do about it. As for sharing names - please rest assured that any client who's been around for a while is well aware that people change names, and that names clash, and that the same names come up over and over again attached to different people. I don't think it'll cause all that much confusion. On the subject of Kittens... is either one of you the Kitten that used to dance at Barb's?
  7. Because if they jumped through all the hoops that every random person on the Internet wanted them to jump through they'd have no time for anything except being performing seals. You'll have to accept that they're humans with their own priorities, and you aren't one of those priorities. They owe you nothing.
  8. I had the same problem right after the switchover. Is this the first time you've been in since the cutover? I think they lost (or didn't transfer) all the details of when every user last looked at each thread on the board, which is fair enough - it must be a huge amount of data - but that means that on your first visit everything is unread (or read... I forget which). I found that on subsequent visits this stuff worked as expected. There's a star or a dot to the left of threads with new posts, and if you click that you'll get to the first unread post. What I haven't yet figured out is the logic behind whether it's a star or a dot...
  9. Best comment I saw on this: they should put FitBits on the dolls and see how many 'steps' they manage in a day :)
  10. Gone. You can follow people now, which is somewhat different but the closest we have.
  11. I see there are some posts speculating about exact locations. Just a reminder to everyone... this is an industry that relies on discretion and outing the exact location of anything is a bad idea. Providers and businesses can and will advertise their own location if they choose to do so. The rest of us should learn to be a little more discreet. Same goes for phone numbers, for that matter. Even when details are openly advertised it's better to link to an ad or website rather than posting details directly - that way the provider/business maintains more control over what's out there and if things change there's less out of date information flying around.
  12. It's OK for me now. But I remember it being wrong when I first read this, so looks like whatever was broken is now fixed.
  13. You're probably better off dropping Cerbmod a PM about that.
  14. Innkeepers and escorts have had a mutually beneficial business relationship since time immemorial, and the fact that part of it may have been/is illegal at various times and in various places is very little impediment to it continuing. As long as nobody is disturbed by overly loud shenanigans, who cares? (Apart from our self-appointed moral guardians, of course...)
  15. And if you can't find it... https://www.lyla.ch/topic/170123-xeena/ FWIW I *think* you can post to existing recommendation threads while your account is still in moderation - you just can't kick off a new one.
  16. You're absolutely right, DrLove. Conflating sex work with trafficking is absolutely standard for anyone who wishes to regulate or abolish sex work, but it doesn't stand up to any sort of analysis or reasoning. It's funny how trafficked people in agriculture or domestic services never get this level of attention. Laws like C36 hurt trafficked people because they make it far less likely that clients will raise the alarm about someone who may need help (they'd be admitting to a crime, after all) and are far more resistant to a lot of screening procedures, which makes everyone less safe. But the people who push these laws either don't care about the safety of sex workers, or view this as a good thing as they think the increased danger might drive women out of the industry. As to your original question: IANAL, but I'd have thought that the courts will only make decisions on the case that's brought before them, so if this one only challenges certain parts of C36 then the rest of it will be unafffected.
  17. So, yeah. That bit in bold is the problem. Sounds like the OP was just trying to say he's a bit uncomfortable with it, and the provider took it as a refusal/cancellation. He could have been clearer, and she could have asked for clarification before bailing. Now, let's all stop being pissy, learn a small lesson about clear communication, and move along, shall we? Except for people who *really* want the last word, who won't.
  18. I'm sure she has reco threads in other cities too. She travels a lot. She's definitely worth seeing... but don't mess her around, because she doesn't tolerate bullshit :)
  19. I PM'd Cerbmod about this. It sounds like Notes won't be coming back in their previous form, but they'll be replaced by something else (I don't know what). And we'll get the content of our old notes (not sure how) so we won't lose stuff.
  20. You might do better asking in the Ottawa section. https://www.lyla.ch/forum/61-ottawa-ontario/
  21. No idea, personally. You might want to say where you're going - AFAIK a lot of places have boards that are particularly useful, just like here.
  22. Jackie Gilcrest does this, and advertises here now and again.
  23. Haha. Still on my old burner flip-phone. I guess it means there's little chance of me pissing anyone off with too many messages :) It's also the main reason I'll use any contact method over text if at all possible...
