An excellent reason to avoid it like the plague, IMO. There are some things the Chocolate Factory doesn't need to know. +1 on that. I have FF set up to purge history, cookies, cache, LSOs, etc when I shut it down. And Flash configured not to allow LSOs in the first place. And a FF plugin to block them. Also, note that a completely clean browser history may in itself cause suspicion, if noticed...

I have done (well, MAs rather than SPs, but the principle is the same). But there has to be some reason for me to want to see someone; if not pics, then recos, or posts here that have interested me (although I think most people in that last category are also in at least one of the first two). But someone with no pics and no recos and no posts probably isn't on my radar at all. It's hard to visit someone when you don't know they're there.

Yep. okay, some of it was pretty cool, but the three things I took away from it were: - a house with kids in will be spotless. - people will be too clueless to do their daily commute without a GPS - corporations will be able to target ads specifically at you, which means they'll know everything about your life. We're well on the way to the last two already, and neither fills me with joy. The first is clearly just silly.

I have no experience with them either. But I have to day, there seem to be plenty of reco threads for their ladies... which presumably wouldn't exist if there were an issue with the agencies themselves, no?

I always struggle with that one. I'm never really sure what will come across as enthusiasm and what will come across as shilling... and if people get the idea that someone's shilling for a lady that probably won't help her. One thing that's very noticeable is that ladies tend to get a lot of reviews early on, as people see them for the first time... and then fewer and fewer, which is presumably just because people aren't writing recos for subsequent visits. That's not a problem with recos (provided it's because of newer genuine recos being written for other ladies, rather than threads being bumped); it's a problem with people who can't be bothered to do their research. There's limits to how much we can spoon-feed people.

I must admit, I don't like this. Last time it happened I almost didn't write a reco (I did in the end, but I'd have been far happier about it if the lady in question hadn't asked). I just don't like being put on the spot. I suppose I could always lie if necessary, but I don't like that either. But then, if people need to be pushed slightly to actually write recos, maybe it's a good thing that you ask. I'm kinda torn on this. That was useful, wasn't it? Not. :)

Maybe I should try this twitter thingy... but Mod, if you're reading - it'd be really nice if the feed could put the most recent tweets at the top rather than pushing them down so you can't read them as more load... :)
