Gwen at Brass Club is very good. Alison (indy) is also good. I'm not sure who else... I'd also be interested in other suggestions, especially for MAs who are regularly available during the evening.

Anyone here using Switter?

To follow up on my previous post - they seem to have fixed whatever was previously broken... -
What's your opinion?

Coming a bit late to this, but... FWIW I get the feeling that this sort of thing is not uncommon. I've seen SWs announce rate increases and explicitly say that existing clients will be grandfathered in at the old rate. Quite a few providers are happy not to watch the clock too much provided they enjoy spending time with you, although I'm sure those same providers won't hesitate to kick you out as soon as they can if you're an asshole :) The point here is that she may be absolutely fine with things as they are - from what I've heard, good clients seem to be far less common in this industry than they ought to be. On the other hand, it's possible she just hasn't mentioned it because the thinks it'd be too awkward. I'd suggest either quietly upping the donation, or asking her about it sometime. I wouldn't worry about the past, though. -

I've set up an account (@[email protected], if anyone feels like saying hi). Unfortunately all attempts to do anything on the platform fail with http permissions issues, so things seem pretty broken at present - at least, if you're using TOR. Perhaps they'll fix it. It's no use to me until/unless they do. -
GFE is one of those things whose definition is... variable, to say the least.

I'm with the EFF on this. It will be an utter disaster. It hasn't even been signed into law yet... but already we've seen some significant changes. TER has removed its ads for US cities. Cityvibe (another US board) has shut down entirely. Reddit has removed some subreddits related to sex work for fear that some posts in them might be interpreted as ads. Craigslist has completely removed its entire personals section in the US. People south of the border are clearly anticipating one hell of a crackdown. Given that we have Jeff Sessions as AG, I suspect they're probably right.

safe bj + safe full service

Usually the same one, unless there's reason to change it. -
You don't have to cruise Backpage, Luxe. Bobbi provided three separate links to Shawna's ads. All you have to do is click on one. In any case, your diligent refusal to answer the question has probably given most readers all the answers they need. Additional Comments: I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm inclined to agree with WhereIRoam: pics of someone else are false advertising. Personally, I'd rather have no pics at all. Still, the industry is rife with stolen images, so I can only assume that it isn't a deal-breaker for everyone :) Ultimately it's up to every client to decide what they care about, and every provider to decide what information they want to put out there. I don't see that knowing someone's pics aren't of them is a bad thing if it helps the people who care about this make well-informed decisions.

Adult Breast Feeding, Lactation in Ottawa

Lany at Paradise/Angels and Jasmine at Body Basics are both advertizing this at the moment. -
I'm not in a position to recommend any particular VPN (I use TOR for anonymity when I want it). There's plenty of reviews out there. A couple of things you may want to look at, depending on what you want the VPN for: Exit nodes: where are they? Is it easy to move to another exit node in another country when you're working around geographic content restrictions? Logging: what does the VPN service log? Do they log traffic? Sites visited? If they do log things, how long do they keep the logs for? Speed: do they guarantee a certain level of service? Remember (one of) the golden rule of the Internet: if you aren't paying for it, then you're the product being sold. Free VPNs are often slow and will collect traffic data to sell on to third parties.

Why should you not ask your provider for bb
Phaedrus replied to Lany's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Massage
With all of this sort of stuff, we need to accept that different people will probably have different ideas of the risks they're willing to take on in a given situation, and if everyone's going to have a good time then we need to respect other people whose risk tolerance is lower than our own. This applies whether you're talking about bb services or deciding whether or not BASE jumping is a good idea for a first date.- 1 reply

Brass Club is probably your best bet as it's likely to be within walking distance of either work or your hotel if you're here on business. If you prefer someone independent, Mia is in Centretown (a slightly longer walk, or a short taxi/uber ride). There are probably others too.

There have been a couple of threads about this in the last couple of months. If you'd read them - as most of the folks who replied here have - you wouldn't be surprised at all.
-
Links to things like social media accounts, your own website, etc are generally OK. Links to other boards generally aren't because people often use them to get around the rules this site has on negative posts. Even if you link to a thread elsewhere that's positive for now, it can still turn into a shitshow later on.

BJ is lower risk than FS, but not risk-free. CBJ is, of course, safer than uncovered. I'd have thought that pretty much all escorts would be OK with a hand release, and I'm sure they do it far more often than clients care to talk about :) Escorts are looking for a client who respects them and their limits and doesn't mess them around, not porn-star levels of performance.

PM... email notification
Phaedrus replied to IsaMassage's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Mod made an announcement about it - I'm sure they'll be turned back on once the current issues are sorted out. -
I'm in the same boat - I have a job with normal-ish hours and I'm not paid to go and have fun, unfortunately. I can do it now and again... but not too often, and that has to compete with all the other reasons one might need to be out of the office for a bit during the day. And so for me it's mostly weekday evenings, as weekends tend to be busy too.

One thought on this: Without knowing the details... is the first option replacing something regularly? If so, bear in mind that that'll be using today's technology, and technology tends to improve :) Even if you are doomed to surgery every ten years, that sounds a lot better to me than option 2. But that's just my take on it, obviously. Hope it all goes well!

It's not up to you to make an offer. Ask for what you want, and she's OK with it then she'll tell you what it'll cost you. At that point, you can take it or leave it. And - don't ask to "take a few pics and stuff". Be precise about what you want; it'll save time.
-
Some may allow it, and may or may not charge extra for the service... but I suspect most would refuse. You can always ask, but don't try to argue or haggle if the answer is no.

New Sex Ad Bills Before Congress
Phaedrus replied to cat's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I don't think that would happen. First, escorts have far better ethics that politicians. Second, a lot of politicians already support and vote for policies that are immensely harmful to sex workers of all kinds, and they haven't been blackmailed as a result yet. Finally, any escort who blackmails a client is done with the industry if it gets out, and I suspect most of them aren't in a position to give up their livelihoods no matter now morally repugnant their clients may be. Money is no object when you're giving it to your wealthy friends or making life miserable for people you disagree with. Or so it seems. Sex work is not an industry that the general public regards particularly fondly or knows much about. There's a huge amount of misinformation out there. They'll dress this up as anti-trafficking, and they'll be aided in this by the folks who insist that all sex workers are being coerced, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. We've got a long way to go before this sort of thing becomes a serious electoral issue that actually swings votes, I think. -
It could be pinned. Get in touch with Mod and he can do it if he agrees. There are indeed some fantastic posts here... but the problem with this thread is that it started on another topic. The title is irrelevant to much of the discussion, the good stuff is a thread-hijack, and then you've got the mess caused by complaints about the hijack and people getting confused about which posts were in response to what because there were multiple conversations going on at once. All that serves to dilute the impact of it, and it's a crying shame because some of these posts really deserve to be given prominence. For future reference, everyone... follow Cat's example and kick off a new thread if need be. She knows how this stuff works.

New Sex Ad Bills Before Congress
Phaedrus replied to cat's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Of course he won't use it against his colleagues. He'll use it against companies he wants to shut down, and people who don't have the resources to fight back. There's a lot of those.
