The former, I think. The only real effect of the new law that I can see is that we have to be more careful about what's discussed and what isn't (hence the censorship you may have seen), and ladies - and especially agencies - have to be careful about what they advertize. Lyla seems to be taking a rather more play-it-safe approach to this than some other places. The official myth is that nobody here is offering sec for money... when we spend time with the ladies we... well, I don't know what we do, but it's definitely not sex, okay? ;) But apart from that, I don't think there's been much impact on who does what with whom. I've also heard that there's a lot of folks out there who don't know the law changed at all! Additional Comments: I disagree. The zealots will always complain that not enough heretics are being rounded up and burned at the stake; nobody else cares about quotas. Occasional bust on the streets, yes - this is far and away the most visible sector of the industry, and therefore the one that the public tends to complain about. Posing as incall escorts? I was originally concerned about this possibility too, but so far it doesn't seem to be happening and I recall having one conversation with one of our lovely ladies where she gave me some good reasons why it'd be very unlikely. Unfortunately, I can't remember what they were :( The same way as the old laws were: by demonstrating that the restrictions imposed make things more dangerous for sex workers. The fact that LE don't bother enforcing the law much isn't actually relevant; what matters is that the law exists.

Something else you could do - use different browsers for Christy's stuff and your real-life stuff. It may help with this sort of thing.

Well, that makes you the first person I've ever heard of who likes chili beer :) I love hot food, and I love beer, but... some things just don't play well together... -
RIP Internet Explorer: Web reacts to browser's demise

They should go back to calling it Mosaic :) -
I think it varies quite a bit, depending on what age the lady is (really) and what kind of clients she's after. Full disclosure: the following is nothing more than my own impressions of the industry and may well be absolute crap. First, there seems to be a significant chunk of the market where the demand is for younger ladies. Not for anything illegal, but... young. FortunateOne mentioned earlier that 22 was the magic age that agencies had discovered, and so I think you get a lot of people between 18 and mid- to late-20s advertizing themselves as being in or around this bracket. After that, you get the clients who are more interested in the whole person than just a perky pair of tits, and who tend to go for older ladies, and once they're advertizing to this market I don't think there's much for the ladies to gain or lose by tweaking the age they claim to be. Of course, I'm grossly generalizing here, and there are plenty of exceptions.

Discouraged Canadian
Phaedrus replied to mrrnice2's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
The prevalence of fear and authoritarianism is quite depressing. Unfortunately, it's by no means unique to Canada; all over the world, governments are realizing that they can use technology to dredge up unheard-of quantities of information on the population they control, and if they talk enough about terrorists or whatever the bogeyman du jour happens to be then nobody will object. Or not enough people, anyway. The thing is, I have no clue what to do about it. No politicians that we might reasonably expect to elect will roll back any of the power they've inherited from their predecessors, and all of them will be rapidly purchased by wealthy corporations and individuals who will ensure that their own interests are served. Perhaps it's time to get the pitchforks out... -
Today in awesome pics... a photographer who pours honey over his models. The results are pretty cool. More at http://sfglobe.com/2015/03/16/preservation-by-blake-little/

Well, it's an interesting question. I think it's great if they do, but I don't think they have an obligation to do so in the same way that, say, parents and schools do. This is absolutely true. Fortunately, I think it's changing, slowly, as these days when stuff comes out the coaches find themselves looking for a new job (at an absolute minimum) if they knew about it and did nothing.

I may or may not have had it. Who makes the one you're talking about? -
I have. AFAIK the spa puts limits on what's supposed to happen in the tub itself, for obvious reasons relating to hygiene... and my recollection is that they're pretty zealous about putting in the chemicals, just in case those limits aren't respected ;) As for the extra door fee... well, I'm not a huge fan of hot tubs in general, so I probably wouldn't do it again even if there was no extra door fee, so I'm almost certainly not the right person to ask. It almost certainly depends at least as much on whether the MA you're seeing likes being there :)

Penis transplant successfully performed in South Africa A South African university said Friday that it had performed a successful penis transplant. The transplant was done in a nine-hour operation last December by specialists from the faculty of medicine and health services at the University of Stellenbosch. The patient had his penis amputated three years ago following complications from a circumcision performed in his late teens, the university said. The 21-year-old patient, whose name was not released, "has made a full recovery and has regained all function in the newly transplanted organ," the university near Cape Town in southwestern South Africa said. It was at least the second time the procedure had been attempted. The university did not give any details of the organ donor, but said "finding a donor was one of the major challenges." A man in China received a penis transplant in 2005. That operation also appeared to be successful, but doctors said the man asked them to remove his new penis two weeks later because of psychological problems experienced by him and his wife. Rapid recovery Prof. Andre van der Merwe, head of Stellenbosch University's urology department and leader of the South African surgical team, said they had predicted that their patient would have full use of his transplanted organ in about two years. "We are very surprised by his rapid recovery," van der Merwe said in comments released by the university. Circumcisions are performed on boys and young men as a rite of passage to adulthood in some rural parts of South Africa. Stellenbosch University said experts had estimated that there could be as many as 250 penis amputations a year in the country because of botched circumcisions.

I haven't met many drinks I didn't like. I tend to bring wine if I'm meeting one of our lovely Lyla ladies, but I'm currently checking out the various microbreweries that have popped up around Ottawa over the last couple of years... -
Well, having one does no harm, but I've never met an escort who doesn't provide them herself, and AFAIK most of them prefer it that way. It means they know they're using one that's been properly stored and isn't past its best-before date, and they also know that it hasn't been tampered with (yes, there are some guys who do that, for whatever reason). If you have any particular requests (bigger ones, non-latex, particular favourite brand) then I think most ladies will be happy to oblige if you give them a little bit of notice.

Good job on fixing it, Mod. But yeah, it may take some time to resolve. A lot of spam detection works by assigning a reputation score to other mail servers; if a server starts sending spam, its reputation goes down, and when it gets low enough everything from that server gets blocked. Once the server stops spamming then its reputation will begin to recover, but it may take some time before it rises high enough that mail from that server gets through again, and different mail services may have different thresholds.

recommendation and advice for a young man (22)
Phaedrus replied to Mitch06's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I think most of the ladies have at least a reasonable amount of experience with folks who are new to seeing escorts. As for what you're after... I'm sure there are many who could help you out ;) If nobody contacts you, I'd suggest looking around the site, reading a few ads and recos, and contact someone who you like the sound of. Do remember to read ads/websites thoroughly - some ladies do have minimum age restrictions that might mean they're not available to you. Good luck! -
Breast play, do any Ladies really enjoy it?
Phaedrus replied to a topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I'm sure the ladies can and will answer for themselves, but... I get the feeling that this, like many things, is something that varies a lot between individuals. Some seem to love it, some don't seem at all bothered. -
I have no doubt that many - perhaps even most - of them have experience with this sort of thing :) Just book an appointment that will be long enough, and let your chosen lady know in advance that you'd prefer to take your time rather than rush things, and I'm sure you'll have a great time. Just remember to not outstay your welcome...

I've never heard of any rule that says you have to post if you have an account. Pretty much all online forums have way more read-only folks than active posters, and this one is no exception. Glad you've taken the plunge, jobe130 - looking forward to many more! Okay, end of hijack. Back to the matter at hand... I've seen it advertized occasionally, but not often. You may simply have to be patient.
-
AFAIK, posts that break the rules are quite often deleted by Mod - especially negative stuff or things that he considers likely to trigger an argument. That may be what happened here. http://www.lyla.com/censortext.txt. It was originally in this thread. Yes, it's a shame, but since things changed it has just been a case of playing it safe. My feeling is that the longer we go without anyone in LE really seeming to give a damn about persecuting consenting adults enjoying themselves in private (which is sensible), the more things will gradually return to where they were previously.

"Piece of meat"? Seriously? You've probably just blacklisted yourself with half the ladies on this site...

Important stuff doesn't go viral. The Internet doesn't work that way :) Snark aside, I've read some pretty interesting stuff about how we see things in the various attempts to explain why different people see completely different colours in the original image, so it hasn't been completely pointless from my perspective.
