1 and 2 are sensible. I don't think 3 matters much. You'll also be fine with someone you haven't met before but who has a good track record (some recos/reviews, has been around for a while). Absolutely! If all you've done is arranged to meet someone for an hour (or whatever) then you've done nothing remotely illegal. Where you found her phone number or email address is irrelevant. I carry cash all the time, although admittedly it's not normally in an envelope :) I'd have thought that any form of electronic payment is far riskier, because it's traceable after the fact (if someone really wants to bother). Cash is fundamentally untraceable. Before you walk into the room, nobody can prove what you intended to do with it. After you leave, no-one can prove where she got it from. If LE raids the room while you're in it, just disavow all knowledge of anything, but... ...what you describe isn't really a sting, IMHO, it's a raid (assuming you're seeing a genuine person rather than an undercover cop). It's highly unlikely to happen; the police have a million better things to do than go breaking down the door to catch consenting adults having fun. They generally won't do this without good reason, and that usually means they have a good reason to suspect trafficking, someone acting against their will, or someone being under-age. What I'd call a sting is when a cop puts an ad somewhere, or hangs out on a street corner, and anyone who shows enough interest gets arrested. This is easy to avoid; don't look for a good time on the street, and avoid the brand new girl on BP or wherever. Sticking with people you already know and not discussing specifics in advance will eliminate pretty much all of it, I think.

Unfortunately, anyone answering this question in a public forum will probably fall foul of the new rules on the site that have been made necessary by the new laws. You'd be better off asking the ladies directly... which would mean another trip to Barefax, but I'm sure that's not too much of a hardship :)

Resurrecting an old reco thread because... Malibu is back at CMJ! I saw her a long time ago... and then she vanished, which was a great disappointment, so I was very happy to see her appear on the CMJ website. Seeing her pics brought back some wonderful memories, but I was very new to everything then, so I was a little anxious. Would she still be as good as she was then? Yes. Yes, she was! Just as good to talk to, as hot as ever, and just as much fun to play with. The shower was a great way to renew our acquaintance, and everything else was... a lot of fun! I left very happy, and I'll definitely be back soon.

Honestly, I have no idea. Anyone looking to advertize anything out-of-the-ordinary is going to find it tough to reach her target market with the new rules. Perhaps other advertizing venues will be happy to push the rules further, and places like Twitter probably don't care at all...

Short version: you can't advertize the exchange of any kind of sex for money. Advertizing will therefore have to focus on what a fantastic person you are, rather than the specific things you'll do with people. There are other rules too, but those have been around for a long time, are in the FAQ, and haven't changed.

I recently had the pleasure of renewing my acquaintance with Kathryn. It's been much too long since I last saw her, and really I have no clue *why* it was so long. It just was. She answered the door looking just as awesome as I remembered, and we spent a little time catching up on things - a lot has happened since we last met. I love Kathryn's passion for making the world a better place, and that definitely comes out in conversation. However, delightful as the conversation was, it was time to do other things... so we did :) I've never been one for details, and so I'll just say that Kathryn is very responsive, and very talented, and I had a fantastic time. And there was even time to chat for a little at the end of our meeting before it was time to go. So, that's it. Just happy memories remain, but I'll have to go back and top them up before too long!

Minor thread-hijack... it's because that particular name is often associated with people who are very young, and sometimes *too* young, and occasionally used by people who are looking for that sort of thing. Mod is being very cautious about what's discussed here and what isn't at the moment, with the recent change in the law, and so that's one of the words on the banned list. OK, that's enough administrivia. Back to the dancers!

Thanks for that, bcguy. I know that people often have a generally bad opinion of the police, and that occasionally it's deserved, but most of them are decent people doing a hard job. They *know* which laws actually matter and need to be enforced, and which don't; they know that two consenting adults having fun with an envelope on the table are absolutely no threat to the fabric of society. They have a lot of discretion over which laws they actually police and which they don't. Don't underestimate the power of passive resistance to nullify stupid laws. Of course, the police are still answerable to the public, and must therefore respond to public concern... and that's why we'll still see periodic sweeps and stings aimed at street workers and their clients - they're the most obvious facet of the industry. Everyone else: carry on!

None taken. There are people who get offended by having their opinions challenged; I don't consider myself one of them, and I hope I live up to that. Obviously we're all speculating at this point, but I actually think you're right - LE may come under some political pressure, and there will probably be zealots within LE who won't need external pressure. However, LE can resist political pressure if need be; when LE and politicians get into a fight, it tends to be the politicians who back down. The police are more respected by the general population, and the politicians know it. I think what will happen will be pretty much what happens now: LE will respond primarily to public concerns, and when they do they'll tend to go after the low-hanging fruit. And as I said elsewhere, this will involve putting a cop on a street corner or an ad on BP, and arresting the guys who take the bait. It requires relatively little effort, gives them some arrests that they can parade as evidence that they're "doing something". It also hits the most visible section of the sex-work community: the street workers, who are also the ones who arouse public ire simply because of their visibility. But I maintain what I said elsewhere: if you don't look for street workers, and you aren't on the lookout for the new arrival on BP, your chances of getting caught are vanishingly small. This is good advice. I actually think the ladies are going to see an increase in repeat visitors, in the short term...

I'm in the second camp... but I'm pretty sure I'm right, to the extent that I intend to continue putting my money where my mouth is :) Every encounter I've had up to this point has been illegal because it took place in a bawdy house - I go to visit the ladies, rather than having them over to see me, and I'm pretty sure that I haven't been the only visitor to anyone's incall. Every encounter after this point will be illegal because there's an envelope on the table. What's changed, precisely? As far as I can see... not a lot. Thank you for your comment. Look at some of the people who supported this bill. They hands are in the rescue industry. And they're now fighting over who gets the $$$ from the government as a reward for having supported the legislation. Irony, much?

Yes. 30 days after it gets Assent it becomes law. It will remain law until/unless a court puts a stay on it or strikes it down, or it's repealed or changed by a subsequent law. But as I've said elsewhere, that doesn't mean we have to worry about it much :) The fact that a law exists doesn't mean anyone will bother enforcing it; the fact that people want to enforce a law doesn't mean you'll get caught. I'm sure nobody here ever breaks the speed limit or smokes weed, right? Right? Just smile and nod. Good. Well done. Carry on, everyone!

Best advice I can give you is to read, read, and read some more. There's a wealth of good advice on this site on pretty much everything you can think of, and a whole bunch of stuff you probably haven't :) And, of course, enjoy yourself here!

I can't speak for anyone else, but I plan to treat C36 with the contempt it deserves and carry on as I do now. As far as the guys are concerned, I suspect that provided you can avoid the cops who are posing as SPs either on the street or on BP, etc then your chances of getting caught are vanishingly small.

LOL. Irrespective of the disclaimer, illegal stuff is exactly what they're most useful for. Silk Road (a website dedicated largely to commerce in illegal drugs) had something like $1.2 billion in total revenue before the FBI shut it down.... all in bitcoins. Whatever the legality of this industry in Canada, it's a lot more legal than dealing heroin :)

Honestly, I have no idea how common it is. There are a very few providers who put restrictions in their ads; there are a larger number who explicitly state that they don't discriminate based on race. As RG said, all providers have the same right as anyone else to reject anyone they don't want to get it on with, no matter how good or bad their reasons may be. But clients decide who to see or not see for all sorts of reasons, and there are probably quite a lot of us who find overt racism to be rather distasteful...

If you don't agree with those in power, you go to a re-education camp until you see the error of your ways. This is not a new idea, although I don't recall it happening in Canada before.

So, to go back to the original question... maybe a little creative writing is required? Perhaps you could write a few sentences on why a BJ is so much more awesome to give when condoms aren't involved, or maybe write something on why safety is important even for oral. Maybe you could describe that time you had buttsex with someone and it was the best thing ever, or perhaps that time someone thought he could slip it in your ass and you wouldn't mind... yeah, right. Perhaps link to something on Pornhub or wherever and casually mention that you totally get off on stuff like whatever you linked to. Or mention the guy who tried thought you wouldn't notice that he whipped the condom off and then couldn't sit down for a week 'cos you kicked his ass so hard. Scatter stuff like that around your website, and people will get the idea... if they're paying attention. Those who don't may or may not learn. And none of it is a direct offer to provide any particular service. Oh no. Definitely not :) I'm not sure how to communicate something like "Greek is $50 extra", but I'm sure someone will come up with something cunning... even if it's only making it all-inclusive and putting up your rates by $50.

The great advantage of bitcoin is the anonymity and untraceability of it, and the fact that payments can be made remotely. The downside (for now) is the instability of the currency. The thing is, cash is equally anonymous and untraceable, and the remote thing isn't really an issue when we're discussing a service that fundamentally requires the provider and the client to be in the same room. It might be useful for things like deposits, or for services like cam-shows, but I can't see it replacing cash for day-to-day getting your rocks off.
