Does anyone know if this IOS 9 Time travel app actually works or not? -
Beer. Anybody who's now thinking, "And what?" clearly doesn't understand the awesomeness of beer. Okay... and pistachios. Are you happy now, solid-food-lovers?

An interesting vid on the London International Tattoo Convention. There's some seriously cool stuff.

FYI: there were three books... I'm sure the suits will find a way to repackage DVD box sets until hell freezes over. I wouldn't worry about them. But yes, knowing whether, when and how to finish is a fine art. Very few people ever get it right. Hijack: here's someone else who knew.

No more blogs thread :( I rather liked it...

Mens body wash
Phaedrus replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It should probably be said that any guy who REALLY cares about this should seriously consider bringing his own. I can't imagine the ladies would object to something that decreases the chances of adverse consequences from an encounter. For general use, I'd have thought that less scent is better. Or maybe just get a variety of things - it's not like they have a best-before date on them... -
Why ask me if I am a cop?
Phaedrus replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
Short answer: no, but it's like driving at 101 on the highway. Nobody cares provided you don't disturb the neighbors. And, unlike driving at 101 on the highway, we're all waiting on a Supreme Court ruling which will make it completely legal if it goes the right way, and until that happens the chances of anyone getting prosecuted are even more remote than previously. -
Here we go again... I can't help but feel I've heard all this before. And trust me, if even I've heard it before then the ladies are probably sick to death of it.

Waking up screaming because your legs completely cramped up. Hurts like hell, and undignified as well...

Funny, 'cos it's true...

China's 'love hunters' seek brides for picky billionaires

...a new adventure in high-maintenance, that is. It sounds like there's some real pieces of work out there! -
The survey found support for legal prostitution was higher among all Canadians over the age of 35 â?? much higher than the 18- to 34-year-olds.
But, annoyingly, no attempt to explain why this might be. Perhaps the author just has no clue? I can't help but think that sex work is perhaps a more remote issue to many younger folks... I know I didn't think about it very much when I was in my twenties, for a variety of reasons. FWIW, I'd be interested to see the breakdown by sex AND age.

Alas, it probably wont' happen in the US, because having this on your phone would probably be construed as proof that you were a SP and get to royally screwed over. Sigh.

It'll do whatever you configure it to do (sleep/hibernate/restart/shutdown). It's kinda hard to work around the OS :) I suppose you could install you favourite Linux distro, if you prefer... And realistically, buggy software will always be with us, and we just have to deal with it on occasion.

I'm slightly discombobulated by the fact that this is a CBC link. From the headline, I was expecting it to be a story at The Onion... Oh, 'Merkins...

Happy Birthday Isabella Gia!

Happy birthday, Isabella! -
It just said, "an agency". It didn't say PK specifically for this, even though they were mentioned by name in another context. And the logs could well have come from the phone company - in fact, it's more likely that this was the case if the agency was actually being investigated for something. If this bothers you, then go the cloak-and-dagger route: get a burner cellphone, pay cash for both the phone and the top-up cards, make sure your real name and address aren't associated with it anywhere, and take the battery out whenever you're not using it. If you can actually be bothered with all that :)

Well, it's that time of year. Summer's over, shorter evenings are upon us... and there's an excuse to drink beer! Well, never let it be said that the denizens of FB-BBM Towers need asking twice! We actually started planning for this way back in the spring. I had a really good plan for getting lots of cheap beer this year... What could possibly go wrong? It was absolutely certain to work out better than Old Dog's attempts at being classy while entertaining the ladies... Well, my vegetable garden didn't bear fruit as I'd hoped. I'd assumed I'd be able to steal Lee's beer if needs be, but unfortunately he's developed a certain low cunning in his old age so it wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. Actually, he's not that cunning... I think I found where he keeps it! Well, anyway. We finally got ourselves slightly organized, and found a quality supplier for our needs - only the finest ingredients used, apparently, although I'm not inquiring to closely as to what those might be. And, most crucially of all, we got someone in to help! Someone who can bring beer even faster than Lee and Old Dog (and I) can drink it... at let me tell you, that's not easy. And so - after many shenanigans - to bed. "Don't worry, I'm fine!" said Lee. "I can get there on my own!" Good try, Lee. Good try.
