Lee, I'd rather have beer hanging off my boobies that your latest stunt. Really. Have you no shame? So, you might ask... why do we put up with him? Well, believe it or not, Lee does have his uses. He's been redecorating the place over the summer. He started off small... ...but rapidly progressed to more ambitious projects... Romantic, isn't it? I'm sure you ladies are going to just LOVE the unique ambiance we have at FB-BBM lodge these days (and no, I'm not talking about OD's aftershave for once). Mind you, I'm not sure what all Lee's contraptions do. I mean, what the hell is this? I'm not complaining because it appears to have beer in it, but I'd sleep better if I had any confidence that it wasn't about to explode. Well, I'm staying outside, just to be on the safe side. After Lee destroyed our last pool (see previous posts), I built another one - very classy, I'm sure you'll agree! We've also been trying to set ourselves up as a photo agency and get some of our visitors to pose for pics. We think this will make us more sophisticated. Here's a sample... ladies, are you tempted by our unique staging? We've got a car and everything!

What does "Open Minded" mean to you
Phaedrus replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'd always thought "open-minded" meant "Greek is on the menu". Not so much in Canada, perhaps, since advertizing online isn't illegal, but far more so in the US where it's much more important to use euphemisms for everything, lest LE take you down... But I could well be wrong. -
Is it wise to invite a SP to you home?
Phaedrus replied to toklat77's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I'm sure the SP has the driver's number. While you're putting together the extra donation, she can drop him a text to tell him she'll be there for a bit longer. Well, I've never actually done an outcall, so I don't actually know what I'm talking about, but.... some ladies address this on their websites and make a point of saying they'll be dressed in casual or business attire when they show up. They can always change once they arrive. If not, I don't think it'd be at all unreasonable to ask someone to show up dressed appropriately for the time of day and the neighborhood. It'd be nice to think that this would never be necessary, but it appears that's not the case. -
I'd be very surprised if Mod read PMs by default. He's got more than enough on his plate already without worrying about that. But there is a "report" button on PMs (same as for posts) and I'm sure that if something's reported it'll be looked into.

The Reason HuffPost Is Ending Anonymous Accounts
Phaedrus replied to Sweet Emily J's topic in In the news
I don't think that's the future of the Internet. I think it's the present. The recent NSA-related disclosures have revealed that maintaining true anonymity, or even a pseudonym that can't be linked to your real-world self, is very hard if certain organizations decide to go after you, or if you just get caught in their dragnet. And the maintenance of privacy will become ever harder as we live more and more of our lives online; it'll become easier and easier for a random person who knows what they're doing to track you down. However, there are a great many situations where people use pseudonyms, for whatever reason, and pseudonymous identities vary greatly in how easy they are to relate to an actual person (which I assume is what you were getting at). Consider this board, for example: I doubt many of us are using the names on our driving licenses. However, some of the accounts here would be easier than others to associate with a real person; it'd depend on what kind of pics were posted (for the ladies), how you access the board, and what sort of things you say in your posts. But nevertheless, we care about the pseudonyms that we've constructed; we won't see someone we don't like, irrespective of the fact that we may not know their name. The same applies elsewhere; despite the fact that a pseudonym is a front for a real person, it nevertheless acquires a reputation within a community that its owner will wish to maintain. Absolutely true, but the need to use pseudonyms (and things like VPNs and proxies and other things of that nature) is very real. Many people should not entrust the preservation of their anonymity to a third party (such as a corporation that runs a website or other service). Alas, most people seem to have little or no comprehension of how big a data trail they leave in their online lives. -
Trouble booking travelling SPs? How much notice to give?
Phaedrus replied to a topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
True, but this will only really happen once she's decided to visit. I was talking more about the "Hey, I think you're really hot, will you visit my city" mails/PMs/whatever, which I'm sure have a fairly low conversion rate into actual bookings. -
Ott. Sept. Social !! Mark your calendar!
Phaedrus replied to Mister T's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Well, you've got the link for the next social already. One other thing: Quite a few ladies have a social rate for this kind of thing (although it may be more aimed at going out than staying in), and if someone you'd like to see doesn't have a published social rate, you can always ask her if she does. If you're looking to hang out off the clock... if she asks to hang out with you, then that's great, and you'll probably have an awesome time. But if you ask her, then bear in mind that in her eyes you've probably just become yet another cheap-ass guy looking for free stuff, and she's probably got enough of those already. Once you get to know someone well it may be different, and close relationships do arise between SPs and clients... but if you try and force it then it almost certainly won't happen. I hate to be a downer on this, but it's probably wise to set your expectations realistically. -
Trouble booking travelling SPs? How much notice to give?
Phaedrus replied to a topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
You can't do much about this. If your willpower is up to it, you can try to keep an "emergency" fund available for such situations, so that at least it's then just a question of finding time, rather than having to worry about the $$$ too. I would have thought that SPs who don't advertize far in advance will also be fine with short-range bookings. For the ladies that announce visits well in advance, I'd say it's never too soon. If she's announced an intent to visit your city then she'll probably be taking bookings; indeed, if she doesn't get enough advance bookings she may well decide that it's not worth coming. She needs to cover her costs and then make a profit, after all. Every firm booking she has lessens the chance of this happening. I've never had an issue booking as far in advance as I've tried, and I've found the ladies that advertize in advance also tend to be very good about replying. Of course, this assumes you follow their instructions for initial contact... not everyone does :) Definitely worthwhile, when available. Another thing I'd say is that some traveling SPs are on Twitter and announce visits there, so it's worth following the ones you're interested in. This is true, and worthwhile, but don't expect miracles. There's a huge difference between an expression of interest from a potential client and a solid booking (and an appointment happening, for that matter; unfortunately Ottawa seems to have a bad reputation for no-shows), and the ladies know this. -

We should never meet. It can only end badly :) Seriously, I'm the exact opposite. My life is absolute chaos to the casual observer. But the thing is... I know where everything is, because it's where I left it. The one thing I cannot stand is anyone coming along and "tidying up", because that means that things are no longer where I left them and I'll never, ever find them again. If you move something to the other side of the room - or even the other side of the desk - you might as well have sent it to another planet as far as I'm concerned. Psychologists call this the volcano filing system; apparently it works well because any item's immediate importance is directly related to it's position relative to the center of the "volcano", and it will also tend to be in proximity to related items. And apparently it's also quite a good correlation to how our own memories work, insomuch as we actually understand this.

Sweet Sami Hits 500 Sweet Posts

One that's been getting attention of late:

Well... that's the first I've heard of it :) Admittedly, this isn't my scene, and so I'm not someone you'd be aiming your advertizing at, and so the fact that I was unaware of this may not be terribly relevant. But I am on CERB a fair bit, so things like this do cross my radar if they're widely advertized. I can't really offer anything in the way of useful advice as to where you should advertize these events - maybe the Ottawa BDSM/fetish/dancers section? - but I can't help but feel that more advertizing may work.
-
I can't help but think that if you have no luck collecting a deposit, you're probably avoiding a no-show, so it's probably worthwhile :)

Roses are red, That much is true. But violets are purple. THEY'RE NOT FUCKING BLUE!!!

The books are awesome. I'll read book five when they stop buggering about and bring it out in paperback :) And, yeah... I hope GRRM finishes the series before he dies of something... but the present rate of progress is not encouraging, unless he's discovered the Elixir of Life...

Pussy- for all its beauty
Phaedrus replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have no idea whether this is true or not, but I'd be more than willing to assist with any research that may be going on in this area...
