Many ladies like to actually talk to a new client before meeting them, even if it's just a short call to get the final directions to her incall or something like that. Not all, but a lot do. One other thing to think about with cellphones: if you don't have a separate phone for your CERB-related activities, be VERY careful about what numbers and email addresses you put in it, even temporarily. Many apps now (Google, FB, others) are hugely aggressive about pillaging all the data they can from your phone and linking it up with other stuff; your email address-book will end up in your phone contacts, and then Facebook will take it and recommend friends for you... Any data that you put into your phone can very rapidly end up all over the place and possibly visible to other people, depending on how tight your security settings in various places are, and this can happen with no interaction from you. Caveat fornicator...

Figuring out how to do things on this site
Phaedrus replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in Tech corner
User CP -> Edit Options (under "Settings and Options" in the menu on the left). Then Look under Messaging & Notification (2nd section) and you'll see an option on "Default Thread Subscription Mode", with a drop-down menu. Use that to manage how frequently you get email notifications of new posts in threads you subscribe to (never/immediately/daily/weekly). It looks like you can also turn off auto-subscription to threads you post to, but I haven't played with this so I don't know what happens with threads you explicitly subscribe to in that case... -
Yours. Cockles or mussels? (Alive, alive-o in either case)

Feeling Sad and no smile to share now :(

True. And I hope "whoever" acquires a name before too long, so that we know who to avoid! -
Bear in mind that when you catch a cold there's an incubation period, during which you can pass it on but you don't yet have any symptoms. Occupational hazard, I guess :)

Google works in mysterious ways. Doubtless some algorithm change there has catapulted CERB to the top of the results for certain medications. Although I must say, I'm not sure why; it's not as if we talk about them that much. Perhaps it will pass. Perhaps not. IMHO... nothing!

Yes, you read that right. Not a new album, but I've just acquired it, and I like it.

Simple things that make you smile...

Following a guy on the highway who's talking into his cellphone... and watching the cop in the next lane pull him over. Smile? I nearly died laughing... -
I like RG because he's just generally a fantastic presence on the board.

Etiquette Question - Tipping
Phaedrus replied to Incognito's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
Never expected, always appreciated. Or so I've always been told... -
Yes, the pic has to be online somewhere. If it's only on your own machine, you'll have up upload it somewhere first. One other thing to say: when you do this, CERB doesn't actually keep a copy of the pic; it just keeps the link to the pic, and so whenever someone loads the CERB thread you've put the pic in, the pic is downloaded not from CERB but from the website it actually lives on. This in turn means that a portion of the bandwidth costs of loading a CERB thread with a pic in are borne by the website hosting the pic, not CERB. This is called hot-linking. Different websites have very different approaches to this. Some consider hot-linking of images they host to be good advertizing (these are often sites that will put their own logo on the pic somewhere); but other sites consider the bandwidth costs to be an expense they don't need to pay, and will block hot-linking. So sometimes - especially in the pic-heavy threads - you'll see places where someone's clearly posted a pic, but it won't load, or will sometimes be replaced by a small image saying "No hot-linking" or something like that. If you try and post a pic and it gets mysteriously replaced by a "no hot-linking" image, or just by nothing, this may be what's going on. The only fix is to find another copy of the image somewhere else on the Interwebs and try to hot-link that one instead.

decisions...decisions...please help
Phaedrus replied to cdncasanova's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Well, I like her! Don't worry about the lack of recent recos - many ladies pick up a lot of recos when they first start, but most guys don't write subsequent recos once they've already written one... so someone who's well established and gets a lot of repeat clients will, despite being awesome, get very few recos. I think Katrine's in this category. You mean the whole concept, I hope :) Although if you're having trouble with the hole concept, I'm sure many of our lovely ladies can help with that too :) I should ask in the Ottawa SP or MA forums (if you haven't already), depending on what you're interested in. -
Go here. Do as it says. Don't ask why. Just do it. http://donottouch.org/

Things I have learned
Phaedrus replied to emiafish's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have learned... things that will be useful if I ever visit Scandinavia! The Swedes have a word for "masturbating while crying". It's Gråtrunk. However, I have not yet learned why they have a word for this. In Norwegian, shaving foam is... "Barberskum". Also works in Danish. The Swedish for "final sale" is "slut spurt." And "spped bump" is "fart-hinder". In Danish, the word "Gift" means two different things... "poison" and "marriage". -
Indifferent Cats in Amateur Porn Well, I think it's funny.

Yes. And not only do they not stay in Canada that long, but they often rotate between cities too. As far as Apple goes, I think she's made several visits to Ottawa, so there's a reasonable chance she'll be back. You could always call/email the agency and ask.

What music are you listening to right now?
Phaedrus replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in Fun Threads
Kraftwerk! Again, because that's what iTunes has just thrown at me. -
Well, I don't think I've paid for porn since the invention of the Internet. I imagine there's a lot of folks in the same boat. I have heard - and I don't know how true this is - that many pornstars are also SPs on the side, or do cam-shows, or other things. And I'm wondering if this is the real future of the industry: the professional end of porn becoming, rather than a money-making venture in itself, a form of advertizing for other services that are profitable. A market for professionally-produced porn may well remain, but I can't see it remaining viable on its own merits... although I'm sure it'd be nice if people would occasionally pay to see your advertizing :) The other side of the coin, of course, is amateur porn; I have no doubt that a lot of exhibitionists will continue to make and distribute this, will the usual variance in quality, and that they'll do it for free because they enjoy doing it. And who knows, perhaps some amateur performers will gain a sufficient following that they too can branch out and start to make an income out of it...

Blue Oyster Cult. And on that note... More cowbell or less cowbell?

What RG said. I'm sure any well-established SP hereabouts will be great. They're all lovely people (at least, the ones I've met) and any of them would doubtless be happy to give you a gentle introduction to the possibilities that are out there... So, find someone you like the sound of, and go for it!

I know this is ottawa
Phaedrus replied to 2bigalow2's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Stripclubs & Dancers
This is true... but what you get in a SC that you don't get anywhere else is the ability to pick and choose according to the whim of the moment, and to keep her for a few dances if you like her or to cut it off after one or two if you don't. SCs may be the right level of naughtiness for someone who wants a little extra naked lady in their life, but doesn't want to go so far as to get themselves nekkid with someone, for whatever reason. And finally, going to a SC with friends is less awkward, I'd imagine :) But yeah, if mileage is what you're after, you're much better off with MAs and SPs. IMHO they all have their attractions... which is why I continue to see SPs and MAs and visit SCs. -
Like tigons and ligers. Which, technically, means they aren't a species... And is also proof that the parents are separate species; even though they can breed and produce offspring, those offspring are always sterile. If the offspring weren't sterile, that'd mean the parents were actually the same species!
