  1. This post is quite timely for me as I, too, rarely remember my dreams. And yet the last few days have seen me wake up with very vivid memories of my dreams... I know that dreams are meant to be our subconscious working things out; I am pretty sure with all that's going on in the world, in Canada, in Ottawa.... we all have some things to work out. Regardless though - I suspect it's healthy...
  2. I agree entirely... we have pay scales all wrong. It seems that some of the most important jobs (teachers, police officers, nurses, garbage removal, etc) are wildly underpaid, while many professions that bring little social benefit are paid far too much. But I still think that those who govern the country ought to be on the high-end. That being said, I think we need to hold them to a much higher standard.
  3. Dr. P is my favorite carbonated drink, but if it's between Coke and Pepsi, I'll take Coke. I remember in High School in the 80's, the Coke/Pepsi debate was as important as the Rock/Disco debate. I was rock and Coke all the way. The disco kids were more Pepsi.. Odd....
  4. What a great thread.... gives a new meaning to "I'm seeing red...." :-)
  5. I guess I didn't articulate my thoughts properly. I am not saying we need to respect all politicians. What I am saying is that before one takes shots at them for being lazy, not working much, taking long "vacations", we need to become aware of the work they are actually doing, that's all. Many, if not most people have a totally inaccurate view of what it is to be a member of parliament - from the work involved, the kind of schedules they keep, etc... and those views do a disservice to the role. And my point is that good people often avoid politics because it is such a maligned profession. I, for one, see it as service to the community. I know several MPs personally and see the workload, the schedules, etc... I have seen first-hand why it is one of the professions with the highest divorce rates... In terms of financial remuneration, it is ridiculous. My view, and it is only my view, is that we get what we pay for. MPs get a base salary of 155K. Yes, there are other benefits, but it is by no means a way to get rich. These are the people we expect to run the country and yet we pay them way less that people with FAR much less responsibility in the private sector. If the pay was better, we could demand more... and get more. Anyone with real experience managing large budgets and organizations will fetch a much higher salary in the private sector. I am not whining at all - I am just stating some facts and my personal interpretation of them. Not all will agree - which is just fine. But I personally think it's insane that the PM makes just under 300K a year while the CEO of the TD bank makes 8 million... the average NHL payer 1.7 million, and on and on.
  6. It's amazing how the whole 'schoolgirl' thing stands the test of time... I often reflect on the origins of its appeal... it's more than just the 'youth' element... In my case, I know it comes from the fact that when I was in high school, I was way too shy to approach the hot girls... the fantasy element is strong; living my youth again... Thanks for the pics/posts folks - it's good to know where to find this!
  7. There have been several related threads about this (the fee structure)... I think that many of us simply enjoy an encounter that is not about intercourse, but touching and teasing and a basic release. Time is time, so I don't think that it needs to be a whole lot cheaper... it's still an hour of pleasure...
  8. There are so many things in this thread to comment on... but I will only touch on 2 right now. When people say that we get the government we deserve, they are not looking carefully at the electoral system we have. IMHO, this is the problem. If a parliament was created that reflected how Canadians actually voted, it would look entirely different. There would be representatives from the Green Party on the floor, far fewer conservatives, and more regional representation. And the dynamics of the Bloc would be different as well. I find it incredible that a party can be in power when it only receives 36.3% of the national vote... The second issue is the perennial frustration expressed by many that elected officials "get three months vacation".... I work in this area and can tell you that the workload of an MP often increases when the house is not sitting. MPs go back to their riding, perform many duties, and many parliamentary committees continue to work. It is not a vacation at all. I think that we do our political system, and indeed our country, a great disservice when we trash elected officials - of any political stripe. If we want high quality people to go into public office (which for many represents a major income reduction) we need to respect them more. Good people will go into politics when the system works better and when we, as Canadians, realize the work they do for us. There are idiots in the House of Commons. There are idiots everywhere. But there are also many (a majority) that are well intentioned people trying to do the best thing for their constituents and the country. This is true of all parties - including the BLOC. If you look at how the Bloc votes and operates in committee, it will become clear that while their allegiance is to Quebec and, ultimately Quebec independence, they are also quite functional at times. Bloc members make very substantial and solid contributions in all kinds of ways. Do I like the party? No. Does it piss me off that they are there to break up Canada? Yes. But we can't ignore the contributions they make. Yes, the job has its perks. Most jobs do. But I think we have a responsibility to better understand it before we pass judgment. Sorry i am rambling... These are just some pre-coffee reflections on a Sunny Monday.
  9. It's interesting... I use pictures to decide who *not* to see, rather than who to see. I can tell from a picture if the woman in question is more or less my type or not... we all have our preferences.. so the pictures are useful in helping me determine who I would not really be interested in seeing. But I never decide to see someone simply because their pictures turn me on. Maybe I am just a cynic, but pictures are never really accurate... they capture a moment in time, and don't tell much about who the woman is. To really decide if I want to meet someone, I try to read their posts... try to get a sense of who they are. CERB is great for that - the personalities of the amazing ladies here come through. Interesting that I have almost always determined in the end that the pictures have not done justice to the ladies. A live smile is always what gets me in the end. So in the end, touched up or not, doesn't make much of a difference to me.
  10. I agree - the third of the three gets my vote... i am always amazed when I meet a woman with abs like that... it's pretty rare in the real world though...
  11. Hi folks, Not sure if this is the place to post this... but there does not appear to be much/anything on the Quebec City pages.... I am going to be in QC for a few days next week and have no idea where to start... the websites I have found are less than compelling... Anyone have any suggestions? MP or SP... If this is not an appropriate message, or the wrong place, please let me know. Be well everyone!
  12. I have to say I am proud of the fact that I have actually changed my opinion on several issues after reading the threads here.... that, to me, is the value of the forum... I get to follow discussions, read diverse points of view, and learn. I have rarely seen discussions get personal and find the respect-level here to be very high. It's why i'm here...
  13. My personal preference is not to mix alcohol with encounters... but that is only my preference. I do imagine, however, that alcohol can exacerbate some of the inherent risks of being a provider... Unless a client is a regular (and even then...), I would imagine the risks outweigh the benefits.
  14. I have seen this type of service on a few web-pages. It's never a huge discount (time is time, after all), but for me, having this option explicitly mentioned is good in that it makes me feel less weird for asking for it... That's my issue - not the money - just my perception that such a request will be seen as odd....
  15. I fear I will be the minority voice here... but here 'goes... This is a sad story for sure - and I can empathize. I had a similar conversation with my father years ago. It was not easy, nor fun. And I am so sorry you are having to ensure this. I realized that in my case, my father was using money as a weapon... Money. Period. And I have always thought the best way to deal with these kinds of things is to remove the weapon. So, after cooling down, I told my dad that I respected his decision. Moreover, I told him that I was not expecting nor planning on relying on his money. I let him know that I was an adult, financially capable and independent, and that what he did with his money after he died was of no concern to me. It was a turning point for us. In many ways, my response showed him that I was, in fact, a better person than he had given me credit for. He realized that I was not simply maintaining our relationship with an eye on my inheritance, and that all I really wanted from him was his love and for him to have a relationship with my kids. We're not best friends, by any stretch, but he's my dad and we have learned to have a relationship of sorts. I am NOT equating my situation to yours - I have no idea what things are like between your mom and you. And I am not implying ANYTHING in my post... Just relaying my personal story in the hopes that it might be helpful. In the end, I agree with others - this is your choice and you need to do what's best for you. And nobody can tell you what that is - it will come from your heart and your head. I hope things cool down soon - these things are always so hard.
  16. i feel old... i like mish... not all the time, but it's my fail-safe.. it just feels so intimate.
  17. I agree - I have had a few sessions right before work over the years and it was amazing... the rest of the day just seems to much better! If I was the boss of a large organization, I'd hire a full-time massage provider to do the rounds every day... I can only imagine the increase in productivity!
  18. I love mine. When I travel, I have a really hard time sleeping on a regular bed - even good ones. As for it sleeping hot, I have never had a problem with that at all. The thing I like most about it is just how little I toss and turn now. I often wake up in the same position I went to sleep in. Totally worth the investment. And I have had mine for over 8 years and its still like new.
  19. I am waiting to get mine... but I LOVE my Macbook pro and my Macbook air... both amazing products.
  20. i totally agree - i work with about 20 other people and without exception, I like them all. Makes it so much more fun to come in to the office.... I wonder what the ladies would say the ratio of clients they "like" is, versus the ratio they "tolerate"... If clients are anything like the rest of the world, I assume the ratio of likes to tolerates is pretty low...
  21. I find a nice walk with a cigar helps me remain grounded... I know... politically incorrect... but hell!
